The Real Definition of Karma

Share Button

More than 2000 years ago, the concept of karma was clearly defined in Buddhist teachings and Hindu texts such as the Mahabharata: Karma is inextricably linked to reincarnation and a person’s actions dictate the circumstances in his future lives. The concept is straightforward without much ambiguity.

Think of karma as circumstances in life you can’t change, such as the choices and actions of others, including those of your family members that affect your life, rejection and criticism you endure, your early life circumstances, the unique level of unavoidable strife or harmony between you and another person, the end of a relationship, natural disasters, and those brick walls of failure that everyone must face on occasion.

Amazingly, a lot of stuff you can’t change in life, both challenging and rewarding, symbolically shows up in your unique personal comprehensive astrological and numerological patterns.

Actions have consequences, and personal adversity seems to serve a spiritual purpose because it makes you stronger and helps you unleash your full potential. Plus, without challenges in life you wouldn’t recognize the rewards.

Some in the spiritual community today erroneously claim that you can get rid of your karma by simply rising above it. Snap your fingers and have a clean slate, just like that! Next step, billionaire status and the perfect relationship! They don’t appear to be selling magic wands, so it’s unclear how they expect others to go about this process.

The truth is, you (your personality) don’t have a choice after your soul on the other side agrees to your overall life circumstances (in part from karma—good and bad), before you incarnate. The good news is that you can control how you react to your life circumstances to make the most of your life.

Below is a series of quotes about what you can and can’t control in life.

“In our personal and professional lives, we are constantly hit with one adversity after the other, most of which we have no control over. But the four things we have total control over is how we react, how we adapt, how we breathe, and how we take action.” —Diamond Dallas Page

“I think we are all insecure, and there is nothing wrong in accepting that. But the problem arises when we try to counter this insecurity by cultivating this illusion of control, and we start taking ourselves and everything we know too seriously.” —Sushant Singh Rajput

“You cannot control what happens to you, but you can control your attitude toward what happens to you, and in that, you will be mastering change rather than allowing it to master you.” —Brian Tracy

“Some things are in our control and others not. Things in our control are opinion, pursuit, desire, aversion, and, in a word, whatever are our own actions. Things not in our control are body, property, reputation, command, and, in one word, whatever are not our actions. The things in our control are by nature free, unrestrained, unhindered; but those not in our control are weak, slavish, restrained, belonging to others. Remember, then, that if you suppose that things which are slavish by nature are also free, and that what belongs to others is your own, then you will be hindered. You will lament, you will be disturbed, and you will find fault both with gods and men. But if you suppose that only to be your own which is your own, and what belongs to others such as it really is, then no one will ever compel you or restrain you. Further, you will find fault with no one or accuse no one. You will do nothing against your will. No one will hurt you, you will have no enemies, and you not be harmed.” —Epictetus, Enchiridion and Selections from the Discourses

“Of all men’s miseries the bitterest is this: to know so much and to have control over nothing.” —Herodotus

“Being in control of your life and having realistic expectations about your day-to-day challenges are the keys to stress management, which is perhaps the most important ingredient to living a happy, healthy and rewarding life.” —Marilu Henner

“You cannot always control what goes on outside. But you can always control what goes on inside.” —Wayne Dyer

“A lot of things are going to happen that you can’t necessarily control all the time, but you can control what you do after it happens. So that’s what I try to do, keep my head up, keep moving forward, stay positive and just work hard.” —Lonzo Ball “We cannot always control everything that happens to us in this life, but we can control how we respond. Many struggles come as problems and pressures that sometimes cause pain. Others come as temptations, trials, and tribulations.” —L. Lionel Kendrick

“There is a lot that happens around the world we cannot control. We cannot stop earthquakes, we cannot prevent droughts, and we cannot prevent all conflict, but when we know where the hungry, the homeless and the sick exist, then we can help.” —Jan Schakowsky

Love and Spirituality—Five Reasons For Terrible Relationships

Share Button

Bad relationships are all too common. In the beginning, it frequently appears to hold so much promise, but then it falls apart. It may seem like a mystery as to why some relationships turn sour, until you consider the spiritual side of things.

Mystics suggest that life is largely about spiritual lessons. While relationships may not always give you what you want on an ego-self level, spiritual growth is often part of the plan.

Below we outline five spiritual and mundane reasons why people experience terrible relationships.

Past Life Connections and Karma

The laws of reincarnation and karma lead to specific life experiences and much of those tend to be relationship oriented. By the way, even though many people misuse the word karma, it’s often tied to reincarnation. Past life ties, including toxic ones, create current life bonds. You’ve been together before and sometimes you need to balance the scales.

That inexplicable initial draw can include hidden karma waiting to be played out. Karma, which can be good too, can be immensely complicated and it’s frequently more than just “you dumped him in a past life so now he dumps you.” The experience might be for many reasons, and probably been together before in multiple lifetimes.

Shared Mission

A higher, shared purpose, such as having a child or work that will have a significant impact on others could be part of your relationship plan. Once you really get to know each other, what if the compatibility is terrible? On a soul level you both knew before incarnating that your combined energies were necessary to accomplish the goal and that would be worth it to grin and bear it until the mission is accomplished.

Early Life Programming and Issues

Although early life experiences and trauma certainly affect later life relationships and the reasons for them may be considered more mundane than spiritual, our findings show that core childhood circumstances and events (including both the good and bad ones) are often contracted and agreed upon by our souls before birth.

“If you have a smothering parent, the effect it can apparently have on a child is to give them, in equal doses, a sense of too much self-esteem, because they are mummy’s little princess or prince, and low self-esteem. It affects future relationships.” Hugh Grant

Fear of Being Alone and Personal Timing

Many people so dislike the idea of being single that they enter into a relationship just to avoid solitude. Everybody’s personal timing is different, and sometimes your collective timing isn’t conducive to love life relationships, but instead to work, family, or other concerns. When you have horrible love life timing, reject the signs that it’s just not time for good love life experiences now, and force a relationship, you could find yourself in a mess. It’s like trying to plant your garden in winter.

“If you are lonely when you’re alone, you are in bad company.” Jean-Paul Sartre

Relationships Change

Just as you may outgrow a friendship, it’s possible to outgrow a love relationship, especially when you consider how people change at different rates and for different reasons. Lifelong, mutual compatibility in all areas of life, including sex, just isn’t as common as people want to believe. Resist natural change, and the outcome is unhappiness, so it pays to go with the flow and accept that sometimes circumstances change.

“We’re very reluctant to change, even though we know that all things change, and especially our relationships are just determined to change.” Nick Nolte

If your partner is detrimental to your well-being and the bond is beyond repair, it’s time to end it. However, if the connection is relatively symbiotic, be wary of ending it for the allure of a new romance like those portrayed in Hollywood movies.

It seems like refusing to accept your partner as he or she is and comparing your relationship with the ideal relationship is a widespread problem. It’s easy to find flaws with this type of thinking. But nobody is perfect, and the perfect relationship is an illusion. Consider yourself very fortunate if you’re in a mutually rewarding connection, and even more fortunate if you’re humble enough to appreciate personal differences, and strong enough to love unconditionally.

“There is so much good in the worst of us, and so much bad in the best of us, that it ill behooves any of us to find fault with the rest of us.” James Truslow Adams

7 Metaphysical Tips to Give Your Child an Edge

Share Button

You canprobably think of ways adults could have assisted you in your childhood so you would have had an edge in life. If you have kids, grandkids, nieces and nephews, godchildren, or you mentor or teach kids, maybe you help them in ways you were not. Below are some metaphysical ways you can give kids an edge in this world.

Meditate daily. This will help you be calm and centered so you can react to your child in the best way possible. Whenshe isold enough to sit with you and focus, you can teachherto meditate too. Think of the head startshe will have in all areas of lifeifshelearns how to tune out distractions and find her inner peace.

Clear your energy.Spiritual debris is everywhere and children are more vulnerable to it. Clearing yourself and your home will benefit your kids too.

Don’t drink heavily or do drugs anywhere near your kids.Spiritual troublemakers come running to people who overindulge, and these lower energy forms can target the weaker energy of kids too. But even if you do it away from your kids, you’re still setting an example for them.

Consider a numerology or astrology reading for your child.A good comprehensive numerology or astrology reading can help you realize your child’s talents and skills so you can encourage them in the right direction for future success. It can also uncover potential problem areas so you know what to help them work on.

Notice past life signs.Ifhe is especially good at something,he may have done it before in past lives. Encouragehim. An unexplained fear may also be a carry-over, and you canhelphim deal with it with your awareness.

Pay attention to dreams.Encourage your children to think about what their dreams mean to them so they learn about how the subconscious mind speaks to us in dreams. Nightmares of being chased might indicate troublemaker spirits in the area.

Pay attention to their “imagination.”Sometimes imaginary friends are more than that. Children, usually up to around age 7, are better able to perceive ghosts or lost souls. Sometimesimaginary friends areharmless, but if you sensesomething unseen that is negative for your child, use spiritual clearing to send it to the Light.

Teach your child acceptance.By being an example, you will show him the best way to handle difficult situations that you cannot change.

Teach your child forgiveness.By being an example, you will show her the power of forgiveness, and how it’s for you, not the perpetrator.

Teach your child gratitude. Expressing gratitude forthe circumstances, things, and people in your lifewill show him how gratitude can act as a magic wand to help deal with conflict and bring more good things into your life.

Teach your child to honor andtrust her intuition. This can be with or without meditation. Children often just “know” things. Pay attention to this and help her develop it.

Teach your children about karma. Help her realize good actions will beget more of the same in the future, and how destructive behavior comes back to you too.

Teach your child about life after death.Help him understand that death isn’t an ending, but a transformation, and that we’ll all see each other again.

Teach your child how to be of service to others.Helphimrealizethat even a small, seemingly insignificant yet loving gesture can make a big difference in someone’s life.

Don’t encourage love life fairytales.Whenshe is ready to date, helpherunderstand that everyone has many soul mates, each might be destined for a different purpose (not always marriage or together-forever-in-bliss), and relationships started at a very young age are not always destined to be lifelong.

Turn off the video games and TV.This isn’t really a metaphysical tip, but still important. Help your teens learn basic life skills like keeping a budget, cooking healthy meals, daily exercise, productive scheduling, avoiding procrastination, how to deal with difficult people in a positive way, decision making, and taking responsibilityfor their actions.

Work through your own issuesso you don’t project them onto your child. Heal yourself so your child won’t have to heal because of you.

How To Use Spiritual Laws To Your Advantage In Life

Share Button

Many people claim using the law of attraction can help reach goals. Does it always work? No, because there are other spiritual laws, some that supersede the law of attraction, you need to be aware of in order to have an advantage in life.

Law of Universal Order

Examples of this law include planetary motions, tides, and the change of seasons, and why comprehensive astrology and numerology can accurately interpret personal fate. You can use these tools to predict and prepare for future life events.

Law of Soul Over Personality

Your personality might want to be incredibly wealthy or famous, but your soul might have chosen a different path before you incarnated. Fortunately, the more you calm your mind (like through meditation, exercise, or artistic endeavors), and unblock your energy (through Spiritual Detox or other clearing methods), the easier it will be to perceive your best path. When you are on your highest path, the efforts of your personality will be more likely to match the plan of your soul.

Law of Subconscious Dominance

The subconscious mind stores everything that’s ever happened to you, in this life and previous lives, and it has a lot more power over you than it may seem. Phobias are an example of this; someone who has a fear of flying can tell himself he is safe, be assured the pilot is experienced, and so on, but his body and mind will still react like a crash is inevitable as soon as he steps onto the plane. Another example is someone who has a fear of poverty; she might become a workaholic, and won’t be able to slow down even when it works against her and other parts of her life suffer. Fortunately, hypnosis and past life regression can be used successfully to find and release the root cause of these and most other fears. You can also use hypnosis or subliminal MP3s to give suggestions and direction to your subconscious mind to help achieve any goal.

Law of Reincarnation

67% of Americans don’t believe they’ve lived past lives, but that doesn’t stop their soul from incarnating again and again. This type of amnesia isn’t a bad thing, since it helps everyone focus on what’s most important: the present. Still, you can use your past lives to your advantage by going back to a past life when you were very skilled at something, for example, and bring forward that talent, discipline, and or drive.

Law of Intent

When your conscious intent is different from your subconscious desires or fears, you’ll encounter more conflict. You can minimize this by acknowledging your faults and working to improve them.

Law of Projection

You perceive the world as you are, not as it is. However, the more you understand yourself, your defenses and fears, and the more you try to see other people and situations without bias, the better off you will be.

Law of Destiny or Fate

Your destiny and fate (both words have the same meaning) began before you were born, after your soul (not your personality) agreed to the specific lifetime that included the physical body, early life family, and related experiences. The karma of your soul, from many lifetimes, also contributes to your destiny and fate, or what you experience in this particular life.

Due to the unseen force of destiny and fate, you cannot manifest and maintain something major that isn’t at least somewhat within its unique realm. But the more you are in tune with yourself and your highest path (through centering and unblocking), the less likely you’ll be to waste time taking the wrong exits on the freeway of fate.

Law of Karma

This one is quite simple; don’t do anything to others that you wouldn’t want done to you. All actions, words, and intent really do return to sender, and usually not in this life. This includes good karma too. However, not all “bad” experiences are due to negative actions in the distant past. Sometimes they’re just part of the path your soul chose for various reasons.

Law of Free Will

Fortunately, you have free will to react to fate and karmic situations. If you don’t like something in your life, you can use your free will to change it, within the confines of your destiny, or at least learn to accept it.

Law of Asking for Help

So much protection and guidance is available to you from the spiritual dimensions, including hints about your next best step for any goal, but you must ask for it and then pay attention. We recommend asking guides of the Light, (your) God, your Higher Self, and any other energies of the Light you pray to. Do not mess with the dark side, or you’ll regret it and forever be indebted to it.

We hope that by understanding how spiritual laws influence your life, you’ll use them to your advantage and experience more love, happiness, and success.

Spiritual Traps To Avoid At All Costs

Share Button

“It ain’t what you don’t know that gets you into trouble. It’s what you know for sure that just ain’t so.” Mark Twain

According to the New Oxford American Dictionary, ignorance is defined as “the lack of knowledge or information.”

The trap of ignorance, including spiritual ignorance, leading to bad decisions is an easy and common trap to fall into, so you’re not alone if you’ve done this. You don’t learn about how to avoid life’s everyday pitfalls in school and typically must learn the hard way, through experience. Negative ramifications can sometimes be avoided or minimized, such as by exercising restraint, caution, critical thinking skills, objectivity, and compassion, and we offer more tips below.

Even though the spiritual risks we mention below can’t be proven with physical evidence, our findings firmly support these theories and no one has invalidated them either.

Below we list seven examples of what you think you know for sure that just isn’t so that can get you into trouble, according to our long-term findings.

  1. Erroneously believing that the biblical proverb “…Eye for an eye…” gives you a license to inflict bodily harm on another in revenge sets one up for some nasty negative karma. Karma, a law of the universe, symbolizes the eye for an eye notion but it takes care of itself without you needing to retaliate. Taking matters into your own hands earns you a debt you must repay, in kind. Notable exceptions involving the infliction of bodily harm include militarily defending your country, and self-defense.
  2. Nobody is looking, so you can get away with it, right? Wrong. We’re not talking about speeding or other man-made infractions, but for instance, actions that hurt others. Do the right thing even when no one is looking because the eyes of truth are always watching, as the saying goes; nobody escapes karma.
  3. The belief that you have only one life and you can abuse your body to your heart’s content is a common mistake. What if you take your earned health with you into the next life, as we’ve observed through past life regression countless times? Those who incur unhealthy addictions, taxing their health enormously, would think twice about doing so if they knew they would have to deal with the addiction eventually, in a future life, and that it won’t go away upon death. The spiritual complications of bad habits and addiction manifest as physical problems in a future life: cognitive issues, physical problems such as kidney or liver disease, and other ailments such as those caused by vitamin and mineral deficiencies.
  4. Believing that there aren’t forces of evil in the universe is a horrible mistake. It’s a good idea to at least accept the possibility of the existence of dark energy so you can protect yourself. Avoid opening yourself up to malicious, other-dimensional forces by limiting excess, avoid aligning yourself with demons (such as through spells). Instead align yourself with benevolent energy, like angels and other-dimensional helpers of the Light. Avoiding excessive pride and hate, and practicing unconditional love also goes a long way to avoid sinister energies that can block your success.
  5. The superficial notion that any two individuals can be compatible as long as they share similar interests gets a lot of people in trouble, as does the ignorance of personal timing, which can change like the seasons. Realize that compatibility, largely, isn’t up to you; try as you might, you can’t control it. It’s either there, or it isn’t. You can both be wonderful people, do all the right things, but if it’s not quite right between you in terms of compatibility, there’s nothing you can do about it but grin and bear it. As much as modern society denies it, relationships are mainly about spiritual growth through challenge (sometimes very uplifting and inspiring, other times very painful and depressing) and very few couples enjoy stellar life-long emotional, mental, and sexual compatibility.
  6. Rejecting the theory of personal timing, and that everyone’s timing is different, generates a lot of unpleasantness. The highlights (and low points) of your life are symbolized by collective natal and timing patterns. Sometimes the patterns represent successful romantic relationships and career success for example, and sometimes they don’t. The ideal is to work with your patterns, instead of against, to mitigate challenges and make the most of your karmic rewards.
  7. Sympathy to the person who ignores the universal truth that thoughts are things. Thoughts matter, including energy directed at others. Sending negative energy towards another individual incurs negative karma, which can create a vicious cycle of lifetimes of payback for cursing others. It’s natural to feel upset or angered on occasion, but direct that anger into constructive outlets and avoid sending invisible poison arrows to others unless you want to be on the receiving end of it, in equal measure.

You have nothing to lose and you’ll save yourself a lot of suffering by following this advice, and you will avoid the trap of spiritual ignorance.

Spiritual Reasons Behind Recurring And Seemingly Accidental Meetings With The Same Stranger

Share Button

The phenomenon of repeatedly, unexplainably, seeing the same stranger on the street, in your office building, at the grocery store, or elsewhere, instead of all the other people you could possibly bump into, is a fairly common occurrence. We believe there are spiritual explanations for this experience.

We recently received the following e-mail:

“Can you explain why some people meet over the years accidentally on the street? For example, I met a woman 17 years ago on the Internet, later we met in real life, but then we did not communicate anymore. But a few years later we met by chance twice on the street in largest city, and then this woman tried to get a job in a company where I already worked, but she did not know about it. Some strange and mystical coincidence? Is this karma’s work? Is this a memory of past incarnations? It seems that fate or some powerful forces are pushing us specifically on the street. Here it should be noted that this woman likes me very much, but I do not like her.” –N.

“Coincidence is God’s way of remaining anonymous.” –Albert Einstein

Sometimes the reasons for meeting aren’t clear to you, and sometimes they are, though our findings show that everything really does happen for a reason.

Since the early 1990s, Scott has collected the birth data of people he encounters. The individuals he sees on a recurring, seemingly random basis, like the woman on the elevator of the building of his residence, illustrate the idea of personal “orbits” crossing paths. Orbits represent collective personal timing. In this case, forces of the universe pulling people together are symbolized by mutual patterns in the astrology and numerology charts.

In this instance, the phenomenon has to do with Scott’s and the woman’s short-term collective personal timing coinciding, thus, they continually cross paths. Once their respective timing changes, the orbits shift and they don’t see each other as often. In this sort of encounter, based on the patterns, it appears to be a connection with only moderate past life karmic ties, as the draw to each other seems to be mutually neutral, as if they both realize there’s zero reason to pursue more than a casual acquaintance (they are of vastly different age groups and share few interests). But in other cases, the connection is far deeper, as evidenced by the ensuing circumstances.

The study of married or otherwise committed couples in relation to personal orbits is a fascinating study. Time and time again, drastic changes in collective personal timing, mutually in their favor, cements the bond and enriches their rewards. However, without fail, adverse changes in collective timing of one or both partners dissolves the bond. They may choose to stay together as friends, but they both know the relationship has radically transformed or even ended. The same dynamic applies to any other two-person arrangement; collective natal and timing patterns either symbolically pull people together, or force them apart.

As in the case above mentioned by “N.,” where a recurring contact presents a problem, and even ends up a fellow employee, negative karma seems to be a theme. Aside from a possible stalking or surveillance situation, It could be that the person who sent us the above e-mail has some unfinished, past-life business with the person, even to the extent of the type of karma that takes years to balance. Or, it may be a mutual timing connection, challenging to one or both, that tests his or her patience. They might have important lessons to learn. It depends on each unique connection; everyone’s natal patterns and timing are different, as is the energy of each two-person grouping.

Sometimes the connection is so strongly fated that the two people end up together no matter what they decide to do. These are the types of connections that movies and novels are based on—sometimes it’s a dream come true, and other times it’s a nightmare. Again, each case is different and depends on the personal natal configurations, timing, and compatibility.

The situation where one of the two people has a natural aversion to the other person (e.g., a woman has an innate fear of tall Asian men) and, through her fear, continually draws the tall Asian man to her through chance meetings at the neighborhood park, is different, and has to do with attracting what you resist. Though it sounds like the person who sent us the e-mail above could be, in part, drawing the woman to her through dislike of her. Perhaps it’s a combination of forces at play.

So as you regularly encounter particular individuals in your orbit in the future, you can meditate on the topic and try to discern to what degree he or she has meaning in your life. Or, you can consult with an expert in astrology and, or numerology, or a psychic for additional information.

The Spiritual Side of Reparations

Share Button

Whether or not you believe descendants of black slaves in the USA should receive reparations as compensation for that terrible time in US history, there’s no denying the generations of abuse and mistreatment they endured. In this article we’re not going to debate the issue, but look at the spiritual side of reparations.

Almost every ancient civilization had slaves and, sadly, it’s still happening all over the world. According to Time magazine, almost 14 million Indians live like slaves. Reuters reports one in ten people in North Korea are modern slaves.

If you look at slavery with the viewpoint that you only live one life, it seems even more unfair. Why should some people have to live as slaves, while others are born into a life of opulence and freedom? But when you add the understanding of reincarnation to the equation, it’s clear an injustice in one life will be balanced in another.

For example, Stephen has perceived himself as a black slave in two different lifetimes, once as a male who was brought over to the USA from Africa and once as a female who was born into slavery in the USA. Obviously, they were difficult lives; they had no rights and worked all day, every day, with no compensation, and they were treated horribly (much more so in the male incarnation).

But those were only two lifetimes of many Stephen’s soul has lived and his soul (not his personality) chose those lives for various lessons and growth. Also, due to the law of karma, he was paying back some people in those lives, he was paid back by others in future lives, and the people who mistreated him then got what was coming to them in future lives.

It’s important to note that from a spiritual point of view, slavery is not about spiritual punishment from a judgmental God or anyone else on the other side, that these are only the experiences of Stephen’s soul, and other souls may have chosen slave lifetimes for totally different reasons.

Related to this example is why forgiveness is important. As the black male slave, he died in that life extremely angry and resentful of all who had destroyed his happy life and family in Africa, taken him against his will to the USA, and treated him horrifically.

He carried those extreme emotions into his next life. As an enraged and out of control white male in the Wild West who felt the world owed him, he wreaked havoc wherever he went, robbing people for a living, and creating lots of negative karma for himself. A future lifetime as the female black slave was in part to make up for the criminal cowboy lifetime.

If Trevor Hayes, the name of the irate cowboy Stephen perceived in regression, had known (or cared) about forgiveness and karma then, he might have used his free will in a more positive way. But he didn’t and created unnecessary problems for his future, and that was part of a string of lives where he learned about forgiveness.

Whatever your stance on reparations, the same debate could be used for other groups who were mistreated. For example, the Italian and Irish immigrants in the USA during the late 1800s and early 1900s who were harshly discriminated against, the internment of Japanese Americans in the 1940s, women who were denied the right to vote or own property, Jews throughout history who were persecuted incessantly, and homosexuals and transgender individuals who were harassed and murdered. And let’s not forget the unattractive (by current conventional standards) and overweight, and others who didn’t fit in, being ostracized.

Is the world a place of justice? It doesn’t seem like it, unless you are open-minded enough to look into reincarnation, both that of your soul and others. Only then will you realize all actions really do return to sender, and revenge is a bad idea.

We hope that eventually as more people understand this viewpoint, all racism and mistreatment of others, especially simply for being different, will decrease dramatically. You can do your part by treating everyone as you want to be treated, with kindness and respect.

Three Signs You Are In A Spiritually Healthy Relationship Part II

Share Button

Most people realize, upon maturity, that seeking a perfect relationship is futile. Another strategy is necessary in order to be happy, since it’s impossible to achieve and always maintain excellent emotional, mental, and sexual compatibility.

Viewing relationships from a spiritual viewpoint offers the opportunity for a better union, considering you make the considerable effort to do so. It’s not easy to exercise complete acceptance of that which you can’t change, including your partner’s behavior and idiosyncratic traits.

“Keep your eyes wide open before marriage, half shut afterwards.” —Laurence J Peter

Romantic love is an illusion with inherent conditions and demands, but spiritual love is purely unconditional.

A better relationship, in a spiritual sense, is yours for the taking if you embrace the following three theories.

1. Your soul is a separate entity from your personality, and each has potentially different agendas. The more aligned you are with your soul’s blueprint, that which it chooses before incarnating, and the less rooted in ego-self demands, the more at peace you are with your life.

Those who strive for a spiritual relationship acknowledge that what they desire may not be part of their soul’s plan. For instance, a life-long, mutually agreeable love life relationship may be desired, but few obtain it.

There’s nobody to blame, including yourself, for holding onto unrealistic fantasies about relationships. The notion of an ideal love seems to be ingrained in the unconscious, perhaps encouraged by romantic fairytales, songs, and movies, but it’s up to you to separate fiction from reality.

Relationships can still end even if you follow all of the following conventional advice–you make plans, and God laughs, as the saying goes: let go of the little things that bother you; try to be more positive and happy; don’t complain about your partner behind his or her back; be vocal about your needs; write down your concerns before speaking with your partner and say it with a smile and compassion when you do; have alone time; be kind to each other; trust each other; be polite—say “thank you,” please,” and “you’re welcome.”

Consider your soul to be the wise being it is, and your personality, with all its ego-self demands, to be the child. On the other side before incarnating, your soul may plan three long-term love life relationships. Yet if your personality refuses to let go of the first one after the divorce, you may hinder your spiritual progress.

2. The law of karma dictates rewards and challenges in life. Those who strive for a spiritual relationship acknowledge that personal adversity, including that in your love life, is an unavoidable part of life.

“He is your friend who pushes you nearer to God.” ―Abraham Kuyper

For example, Jonas does everything in his power to maintain the connection with his mate, but eventually, wisely, comes to the conclusion that it just wasn’t meant to be because his mate wants out. Chalk it up to karma, Jonas says, being the toughest breakup of his life, though he is grateful for the experience and the inherent lessons. In such a mindset, Jonas avoids prolonging the negative karma he had to balance regarding a tough break-up. He knows it may also be his karma to then experience a wonderful, lasting relationship, so he maintains faith and gratitude for the good that will be in his life.

By the way, enduring challenges in life doesn’t necessarily mean you were a bad person in a previous life, such as a dishonest lothario, in the case involving Jonas’s breakup above. It’s not always a simple explanation. Negative karma may be absent from the equation and it may just be that your soul chose that particular relationship, then the difficult breakup, so that you would then continue on a different, more important path for other key lessons.

3. Your subconscious mind dominates your life. Everyone has his or her own unique unconscious beliefs, defenses, and fears. Those seeking a spiritual relationship understand this and avoid trying to change his or her partner.

For instance, here’s just a partial list of some of the more common fears and defenses that are usually so ingrained that it’s futile to try to change the person: resentment; prejudice; evasiveness; domineering tendencies; insincerity; defiance; vanity; deceit; rationalization; and conflict avoidance.

You can have a fantastic compatibility connection as symbolized by the astrology and numerology timing and natal patterns, but unfortunately, if your partner possesses severe problematic subconscious fears and, or defenses, it makes the connection an uphill battle.

An individual can admirably, sincerely attempt to change. But generally, if you want a rewarding relationship, you’re going to have to just accept your partner’s faults. Nobody is perfect.

Spiritually speaking, a better relationship is yours if you follow the advice above.

Avoid These Five Spiritual Myth Traps

Share Button

A sure way to potentially incur negative karma and make your future fate more difficult is to align your actions with spiritual myths.

It’s understandable that competing philosophies and beliefs on planet Earth can easily snag those who are trying to do the right thing. Fortunately, you have the free will to exercise your critical thinking skills, hone your objectiveness, expand your unconditional love, and sharpen your intuition, all of which will help you find the truth.

Below are five spiritual myths to be aware of in order to make the most of your life and future incarnations.

1. “Meditation opens you to dark energies and blocks religion.” Recently we overheard someone say she would never meditate because meditation blocks Jesus and opens you to darkness. It’s unclear from where this notion originates, but nothing could be further from the truth. Meditation is simply detaching from your conscious thoughts through intense focus. In fact, it’s actually easier to commune with God (or whomever you pray to) while in a meditative state. Meditation gets rid of monkey mind; you surrender the attachment to mental gymnastics and let go. One drawback of meditation, if you chose to perceive it that way, is that those new to it may find repressed memories and emotions surfacing while in practice.

2. “If only the human race could defeat the forces of evil, then there would be peace on earth forever.” Our long-term findings firmly show there is a polarity in this mundane dimension, which means that opposites will always exist. Hot and cold, dark and light, up and down, sadness and happiness, peace and war, good and evil, and so on. There won’t ever be permanent peace on this planet because miscreants will always exist.

3. “The forces of evil control the human race on planet Earth and operate through the world’s billionaires.” The real evil is class warfare and employing it earns you negative karma. The human race is not enslaved, and there’s nobody to overthrow to save the planet. Our long-term findings show that the source of the wide range of human suffering isn’t a mystery; the laws of karma and personal fate dictate what is and what will be in each person’s life.

4. “There’s plenty of money in the world, it’s just in the wrong hands,” says the politician who will say anything for votes. Sounds like a fun game, one that we can play too: There are plenty of beautiful women in the world, but they are just in the wrong hands. In other words, if you vote for us, we’ll promise to steal the beautiful women from the men we deem unworthy and give them to you. Sounds ridiculous, right? The point is, no matter how much money someone has, if they earned it honestly, nobody has the right to take it from them. Wealth can be spiritual too, particularly for those who help others. There’s nothing evil about being rich, but there is negative karma in store for those who aim to steal other people’s money.

5. “You are the captain of your fate and can create the life you desire.” It may surprise you that we believe this to be true, but in a different way than you may think. We firmly embrace the theories of personal fate and karma, along with reincarnation. We also believe, based on our empirical, esoteric research, you are the captain of your fate, the key circumstances and events in your life, while in sprit form on the other side, before you incarnate. It seems that your soul, in-between lifetimes, has the option (in concert with spiritual guides) of choosing an incarnation and the key life events likely associated with it based on what your soul needs to experience for growth. But it also may be far more complex than that, in that predetermination, synchronicity, and interconnectedness of all things make that “choice” on the other side almost as if it’s not a choice at all. As a soul you are as receptive to earthly challenges as you are rewards. It’s your personality, once incarnated that has a problem with life’s difficulties. You are also the captain of your fate in how you respond to each life circumstance and event; responding with unconditional love and right action will make your future fate as good as it can be.

Striving to seek the truth in all things and avoiding the trap of spiritual myths will make the most of your karma and personal fate.

Spirituality–Crime and Karma

Share Button

Criminal law and spiritual law sometimes coincide, but oftentimes not. In a spiritual sense, you’re free to do what you want; the ultimate test of whether or not a given act or behavior violates spiritual law is if it hurts you or another person.

“The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren’t enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws.” Ayn Rand

Below we outline circumstances that clarify what is a crime and what isn’t—from a spiritual standpoint—based on our long-term findings.

1. White-collar thieves, such as boiler-room operators, think they are clever. They insist on their innocence and blame “naive” investors who should know better before investing without doing their due diligence. But consider their intent—does the boiler-room operator willingly take the investor’s money, knowing that the investor will likely lose his or her money, and is it the operator’s intent to defraud the investor? If yes, then such actions incur negative karma.

Imagine the number of lifetimes it takes to balance the negative karma incurred by stealing millions from hundreds of pensioners, for example. It’s no wonder most criminals don’t believe in karma and predetermination.

2. Precious gem and diamond heists such as the Schiphol Airport diamond heist, surely earn the perpetrators serious negative karma. “At Amsterdam’s Schipol Airport on February 25, 2005, four men in a stolen KLM cargo vehicle ambushed an armored truck carrying jewels bound for Antwerp’s diamond district. Brandishing guns, they forced out the drivers before speeding away. Since many of the gems they filched were still uncut, it’s unclear how much the booty was worth—though some estimates have put the figure as high as $118 million. That would make the Schipol crime, which remains unsolved, the largest diamond heist in history.”

That’s quite a heist, but sometimes the karma is much more complicated than it appears; the four guys with guns may not be the sole villains. For instance, consider the following: the owners of the gems in some heists may be involved in the crime in a complex insurance fraud; the guys with guns could have a high profile organized crime backer, which then earns dozens of culprits bad karma; even the security consultants and their superiors, or the insurance company (or select employees) are sometimes involved in such a heist; the owners of some stolen gems may have stolen them in the first place.

3. People who vote for politicians who support oppressive legislation, such as laws against freedom of speech (e.g., in the U.K. it’s illegal to criticize a certain religion on social media) incur negative karma. The same is true for people who lobby for unjust laws, or who trample the rights of others to promote their agenda.

Feelings aren’t an excuse to limit freedom of speech. Any criminal law that takes away individual freedoms is in direct violation of spiritual law, thus those who impose it on others incur negative karma.

“He who allows oppression shares the crime.” Desiderius Erasmus

Earth isn’t the only place to balance your karma. “…researchers have calculated that billions of the stars in the Milky Way have one to three planets in the habitable zone, where there is the potential for liquid water and where life could exist.” It’s feasible mass slavery is the norm on some of those inhabitable planets, offering those who incur nasty human rights karma (including agenda and propaganda pushers, politicians, and the voters who give them power) on Earth the opportunity to balance the scales elsewhere in the future.

Considering there are two trillion galaxies in the universe, including ours, the Milky Way, it’s estimated there are trillions of inhabitable planets in the universe. This is enough to include an incredible variety of difficult life circumstances and situations to accommodate even the worst karmic offenders. The infinite number of available planets on which to incarnate lends credence to the theory that you have probably had more lifetimes than you may think. A wise person said your current lifetime is just one word, of one sentence, on one page, in one book, perhaps of several volumes.

4. Those in the U.S. Congress (or any other legislative body) who continually put their personal monetary gain ahead of the will of the people, such as through allowing crooked lobbyists and special interest groups to dictate their voting record, earn enormous amounts of terrible karma. It’s difficult to fathom how much bad karma is generated by irresponsible governing, policies that harm millions of citizens.

“There is no distinctly American criminal class – except Congress.” Mark Twain

“We don’t seem to be able to check crime, so why not legalize it and then tax it out of business?” Will Rogers

The perfect crime, a term used to describe crimes that are unsolvable or undetected, doesn’t exist in a spiritual sense. The eyes of truth (i.e., law of karma) are always watching, so ultimately nobody gets away with anything.
