Beware of These 10 Types of Demons Part II

Share Button

Are there different kinds of demons, and are demons even real? Yes, based on our experience of clearing places and people of dark energy for more than 13 years, we believe so. We didn’t believe in demonic energy prior to our findings, but we now believe that both positive and negative energies exist in the universe, and that there are different entities associated with both sides. In this article, we explore different types of demons and why they target different types of people and situations.

Sexual Orientation Demons

Based on our empirical research, we believe that sexual orientation, like many characteristics, begins with the soul before birth. However, we also believe there exist demons that encourage gay sex as a way of breaking down some heterosexuals, or even gay or bi people who are uncomfortable with their orientation. We believe this to be particularly true if they are abusing alcohol, using drugs, or have great shame and fear about sex due to a strict religious upbringing.

Then there are those who believe homosexuality is a sin and rally against gays, and even gays who are biased against straight people. Any sort of strong prejudice, especially when it leads to a polarized political issue (i.e., gay marriage), which leads to more strife and chaos, we believe can involve demons. The universal demon motto seems to be, “The worse the anger, chaos, and division among people, the better.”

Bad Mood Demons

Everyone has occasional challenging days or longer periods in their lives. It’s easy to become pessimistic when things aren’t going well, but always try to look on the bright side and keep your energy and that imaginary (or real, if you so choose) Light up. Imagining yourself protected with a bubble of Light positively impacts your subconscious mind (your subconscious can’t tell the difference between real and imagined) and actually can have a protective impact on your life. Otherwise, letting pessimism grow and not protecting yourself can make your negative energy a beacon for the little demons to come running.

Religious Demons

There are countless good and even saintly religious people in the world. But those who are influenced by religious demons can be far from it. Religious demons are fueled by the guilt, fear and, or shame of their host, and derive great pleasure in convincing their targets to do terrible things. At the very least, religious demons can encourage their targets to be very intolerant in the name of their religion.

Religious demons also target those (e.g., atheists) who express negative sentiment against religion or New Age tenets.

Drug demons

Any street drug or mind altering prescription narcotic will lower your spiritual protective energy and allow dark energy and entities to attach to you or even possess you in extreme cases. Drug demons have a great appreciation for those who use drugs regularly, for they can allow demons to take complete control of their lives. We believe this is a key reason why addicts have such a difficult time overcoming their addiction.

Demon party

Add excessive alcohol and, or drugs to any of the situations above and the target will be certain to be the host of a demon party. Come one, come all; the weaker the host, the more demons jump on board, and the worse off the person becomes, along with those close to him.

What can you do if you think there may be dark energy intruding in your life? The most important way you can guard against any future interference is to always react with unconditional love and compassion instead of anger or fear, even in response to hatred and prejudice. Responding this way, even if it’s only in your mind, will stop the back-and-forth volley of negative energy demons strive to incite.

Use our demon repellant MP3 audio, Spiritual Detox, to minimize the demonic influence in your life.

Beware of These 10 Types of Demons Part I

Share Button

Do demons exist and if so, are there different kinds of demons? We’ve been clearing people and places of dark energy for over 13 years and we believe the answer is yes to both questions.

We’ve learned that while there exists “good” and “bad” energies due to the polarity of the universe, there seems to be different types of dark energy or demons too. Certain demons flock to certain types of people and situations, and their influence can be anywhere from subtle to disastrous.

Political demons

Everyone has their own political opinions. Then there are those, on both sides of the aisle, who are so biased and fueled with resentment and, or mindless anger that they can’t even have a rational discussion about a political issue. Instead of debating the facts reasonably, they go for the jugular and personally attack anyone who disagrees with them or their politician. The political demons love their anger and how they don’t debate fairly, and enjoy feeding upon and escalating the negative energy.

Racial Demons

Racism still exists, though many Americans aren’t aware that racism in America pales in comparison to racism in other parts of the world (e.g., Asia) and that most of it doesn’t involve those of African descent.

Our findings show that the physical body is just a temporary home for the soul, and that people (their souls) become different races in different lifetimes, though many humans today reject this notion or don’t understand it. Thus, many individuals assume, we believe wrongly, that they only live once, belong exclusively to their race, and select individuals even contend that their race is superior. Add some racial demons to the mix in already tense relations among opposing factions, and the conflict escalates.

Racial demons sometimes also target those who think they’re fighting against racism. Have you ever been falsely accused of racism? If so, the accuser may be dancing unknowingly with racial demons. For those influenced by racial demons, everything is about race and they don’t care if they destroy an innocent person’s reputation or life in their fight against racism. They have no idea that their thoughts are being twisted and distorted by what we believe to be an unseen, yet potent, dark energy.

Relationship, Enemy and Family Demons

Most people have at least one enemy at one point in their lives, and sometimes a family member, former friend, or ex can turn into one. Demons are attracted to conflict and sometimes they target certain people and relationships with a specific goal of chaos.

It’s important to note that we believe conflict is an integral part of the spiritual ecosystem. We’ve witnessed fate in action countless times, and sometimes in order for fate to manifest, bad things happen in life. Those bad things are sometimes helped along by conflict. Just as you can’t completely and forever eliminate negative thinking, terrible weather, or bad people, you can’t completely eliminate conflict.

Sexual Demons

Demons are attracted to extreme emotions; certain sexual acts, like S&M and others involving pain or humiliation, can open one up to dark energy. Sexual promiscuity, while under the influence of drugs or alcohol and, or if the host is already spiritually damaged such as through childhood abuse, can also cause attachment or possession.

So how do you protect yourself from negative energy and demons? Since demons feed on extreme emotions like fear and anger, every time you find yourself reacting negatively or even thinking angry thoughts about someone, stop. Instead, try to express unconditional love and compassion, or at least be neutral, even in response to animosity. Love and compassion will stop the negative energy ping-pong and make the demons go running.

Beware–Three Levels of Spirit Possession

Share Button

Spirit possession has become a more popular topic in recent years due to it being featured in popular media, including TV shows and movies. Although extreme cases make for more potent entertainment, they aren’t very common in the real world. Below we describe the other levels of spirit possession so you know what to watch out for.

1) Mild possession includes the phenomena of spirit attachment, and ghosts, which are not technically possession but are related and can still cause problems.

An example of this is an entity that exists in the home you moved into. His body died there of old age years ago, and for some reason he decided to stay instead of go into the Light. At times, without you realizing it, he enters your energy field and you experience brain fog and forgetfulness (he had Alzheimer’s before he died). Your dog sometimes barks incessantly at something or someone in the room, but no one is there. Your six year-old daughter asks you who the old man standing in the hall is, but you don’t see anyone.

What you need to do in this situation, as odd as it may sound, is explain to the older gentleman that his body is dead, this is no longer his home, and it’s time for him to join loved ones in the Light. Say, “Go to the Light” and point upwards. Calling in spiritual helpers of the Light and his loved ones who have already crossed over may be necessary to help him move on.

2) Moderate possession afflicts those who regularly drink heavily and, or do drugs, which lowers their spiritual resistance to lost souls and negative energies. It can also start as the result of surgery, or extreme emotions from childhood abuse or other trauma.

If you’re strong-willed, the entities might not have too much of an influence, but since they’ve joined your energy field, it’s still easy to confuse their emotions, desires, cravings, and thoughts with your own. Hearing voices in your head and feeling energetically drained is common. If you find yourself feeling or thinking something completely out of the realm of your usual thoughts, ask yourself, “Is this really me?” It might not be.

A sudden, strong interest in or craving for, one that you never had before, cigarettes, drugs, alcohol, certain foods, gambling, or even sex with a different gender (caused by gay or straight lost souls possessing straight or gay people, respectively, or being possessed by the opposite gender) is often a sign of moderate possession.

Using the technique above can also help to remove entities in these cases, as can resisting the cravings, but a more in-depth approach is often needed.

3) Severe possession is the worst possible form, though more rare. People who are severely possessed are controlled by one, a few, or a whole entourage of lost souls and sometimes demonic energies. These people might be weak-willed or they are simply more susceptible to possession due to their brain chemistry, spiritual makeup, karma, and, or other reasons.

Depression, suicidal thoughts, eating disorders, multiple personality disorder, and other problems can result from severe possession. Suddenly and unintentionally speaking with a foreign accent, like Brittney Spears did when she had some troubles a few years ago, can be indicative of a stronger lost soul from another country who has “moved in” unannounced.

Severe possession can cause or contribute to serious addictions, ones that are very difficult to overcome. After all, the possessed person is using, smoking, drinking, etc. not just for themselves, but others with them as well and they’re not fully in control of their mind. Unfortunately, rehab clinics don’t yet focus on this part of addiction.

In these extreme circumstances it’s best to get assistance from someone who has experience removing lost souls and dark energy.

Give up Cigarettes For Good–Beware of This Common Yet Hidden Spiritual Problem

Share Button

If you’ve tried many times to quit smoking but you haven’t been able to make it permanent, it may be time to consider the little talked about spiritual side of addiction: Ghosts.

What do ghosts have to do with an addiction to cigarettes? More than you may realize.

We’ve found through our many years of empirical research that after the physical body dies, the soul goes to the “Light” or remains earthbound and becomes a “lost soul.” If they died an addict, the lost soul will attempt to feed their addiction by attaching to a living human. This is called spirit attachment. Heavy smokers sometimes have a whole army of lost souls using them as a host.

Stephen smoked cigarettes socially in college, mostly on the weekends. Before he graduated, he made a firm decision to quit, then attended a party a few days later. He wasn’t consciously aware of lost souls at the time, but he remembers resisting the urge to smoke and then having the sensation of something lift off of him as if it were leaving his energy field. Suddenly, the desire to smoke had greatly diminished.

19 years later, still a non-smoker, he moved into a new home that he later realized was in an area full of lost souls; the recently renovated neighborhood had formerly contained many crack houses. Within the first day in his new home, he had a strong urge to smoke. As he lay in bed that night reading, he suddenly had a strong taste of nicotine in his mouth, as if he were a heavy smoker of very strong cigarettes, much stronger than the brand he smoked in college.

Because of his work with Spiritual Detox ™ and understanding the withdrawal process and cravings which had stopped for him long ago, he knew this wasn’t his urge but instead a lost soul trying to use him as a nicotine host. Eventually, after Stephen refused to give in, he perceived the lost soul drift off in search of another host.

In our view, this problem is quite common yet easy to miss. The following signs suggest that a lost soul is encouraging addiction.

1) A sudden urge to smoke when you haven’t for a long time or never did before, especially if you recently visited a hospital, morgue, cemetery, or bar.

2) Tasting nicotine in your mouth, even though you haven’t smoked in weeks or ever.

3) Hearing voices urging you to smoke. It’s easy to confuse your own thoughts with those of a lost soul, especially if you are under extreme stress or otherwise not centered, so pay attention to how you’re feeling at the time. Does it really feel like your idea to have that cigarette?

These signs can also apply to addictions related to alcohol, drugs, and food, and lost souls can influence relationships and sexual orientation as well.

If you feel a sudden and strong urge to smoke, especially if you’re not physically addicted, do the following:

1) Surround yourself with a bright white Light. Imagine the sun or lightning striking, protecting and purifying you. The subconscious mind can’t tell the difference between real and imagined, and its power is enormous, so make sure to capitalize on it.

2) Acknowledge that it’s not your desire and let it go.

3) If you sense an entity present, tell it to go to the Light and point upwards, or that it will need to find someone else to use.

Deciding to quit is half the battle. Following through with your goal will be difficult at first, but after the spiritual hitchhikers realize they won’t be able to smoke through you anymore, most, and potentially all will eventually leave.

Got Ghosts? 7 Steps to Clear Your Space

Share Button

After over 14 years of clearing ghosts from homes and freeing people from the negative hold of disembodied souls we are convinced that ghosts are a lot more common than people realize. Hollywood has demonized (literally) the phenomenon, but don’t be afraid. In reality, most are more of a nuisance than threat, much like a mosquito, if you know what to do.

Simply put, a ghost is the disembodied soul of someone whose body has died. Instead of going to the “Light,” they remain earthbound.

Ghost hunters on TV do a great job of detecting paranormal activity, but they usually don’t send it to where it needs to go to continue its spiritual evolution: the Light.

This final step in ghost busting is often overlooked, but is crucial because if it’s not done the ghost will continue to cause problems for itself and others.

Addictions, attachments to familiar places, sudden and unexpected death, suicide, revenge, and fear of “hell” can cause ghosts to stick around. They may have died in your home, wandered in on their own, or followed you home from hospital, cemetery, or bar, for example.

How do you know when you have a ghost hanging out in your home? Signs include unexplained noises and voices, objects disappearing, electronics turning on and off by themselves, young children seeing people you cannot, lights flickering, unexplained smells or hot or cold spots, feeling like you’re being watched, seeing shadows out of the corner of your eye, pets acting strangely, a sudden urge to overeat, drink, smoke, or do drugs (especially if you cannot attribute the urge to anything in particular), and nightmares.

Fortunately, you can help the ghost and yourself relatively easily with the following steps.

1) Identify the energy. Is it a guide or a ghost? Higher level guides are not abusive or negative. A guide or loved one who has crossed over will pop in to help and you’ll feel uplifted. If your ghost is a loved one who died, realize that it’s better for both of you if they go to the Light.

2) Research the home and area history. Did someone die in the home or area? Is or was there previously a bar, crack house, burial ground, morgue, cemetery or hospital nearby?

3) Sometimes ghosts don’t realize they’re dead or being bothersome. Therefore, firmly yet calmly explain out loud that he or she is dead, this is your home now, and it’s time to move on to the Light (point upwards).

For more stubborn energies, use these next steps. Make sure you are sober and centered during this process or you’ll open yourself up to the risk of possession.

4) Utilize the Light. Spiritually protect yourself by visualizing a bright, white Light. Pretend the sun is shining brightly and, or lightning is striking and filling you and every corner of every room.

5) Burn sage. You can find sage at health food and metaphysical stores and online. Light the sage, hold over an ashtray or plate, then walk clockwise around each room while imagining the space being purified by the smoke.

6) Use step 3 above again and then call in their loved ones from other side to help explain that it’s time to return “home.”

7) If the energy does not want to leave, call in God, guides of the Light, and for tougher cases, archangels Michael and Sandalphon for assistance in guiding the lost soul(s) to the Light. These energies are always willing and able to help, but you must ask.

*Important* Do not simply cast out a ghost from your home because it will wander into another home. Instead, always guide it to the Light. Once there, it won’t return as an earthbound spirit and cause harm to itself or others.

For more challenging cases, utilize the services of a Spiritual Detox™, spirit releasement, or ghost removal expert. Or, use our Spiritual Detox™ MP3 or free Spiritual Detox™ Script. Only use experts who send the unwanted energies to the Light (make sure to ask), have a good track record, and do not charge outrageously high fees (avoid “psychics” who charge $1000s for “spell removal”). The best ghost busters will calmly and firmly communicate with the energy, call in plenty of spiritual assistance and protection, and guide them to the Light.

Spiritual and Demonic Possession: 6 Symptoms

Share Button

Have you ever felt inexplicably angry, sad, exhausted, or otherwise not yourself? Ever experienced a dramatic personality change while under the influence of alcohol? It’s possible that those feelings weren’t you, but the affect of dark or other-dimensional energy.

Based upon our empirical research, we believe it’s possible for lost souls, defined as those which have not yet gone to the Light after their physical bodies have died, to intrude in your everyday affairs, even to the point of dramatically influencing your behavior.

These unseen influences range from benign lost souls looking for a way out of their predicament, to outright malicious demons who desire to harm you.

There exist many spiritual professionals today who offer different forms of depossessions, clearings, and cleansings. Unfortunately, since the origin of the attachment or possession can be very complex and often difficult to pinpoint, and the process of removing the harmful energy can be time consuming, few practitioners are experienced enough to successfully handle the tougher cases.

Regrettably, even if they take measures to protect themselves, some people are more susceptible to the influence of lost souls and attack by dark energy.

Below we list 6 common symptoms.

1. Sudden drug and, or alcohol abuse. What a better place to get a fix for an invisible, wandering soul than from an existing user. Suddenly drinking or craving alcohol more than you usually do is a sign that you may have company.

If your friends are asking you, “What’s gotten into you, why are you over-doing it so often?”, maybe something really has gotten into you and is driving you to abuse your body.

2. Unusual behavior from a young age. You may very well have picked up a wandering soul early in your life if you’ve endured abuse, surgery, or serious illness as a child, and it (or they) might still be with you.

3. Excessively emotionally trying periods of your life. Extreme stress breaks down your spiritual defenses and opens you up to strange energy.

4. Acute, unexplained bouts of depression. If you can’t explain the source, it’s possible you may be carrying a heavy, unseen load.

5. Hearing voices in your head, especially negative messages, could be a sign that you have a spiritual hitchhiker with you or that you’re hosting a party with uninvited, invisible guests. We believe it’s possible for problematic, other-dimensional energies to plant ideas in your head in order to manipulate your behavior for their benefit. Spiritually sensitive people, or those firmly tuned into their intuition, frequently hear messages within from the other realms, but it can be challenging to keep themselves closed off to foreign, toxic energy.

6. Reading this information and having a strong, critical reaction to it. Guess what? If you have dark energy with you, they’ll do anything to get you to ignore advice that would result in them being identified and escorted away. What you’re feeling, although it may simply be subconscious fear, could be the reaction of unseen entities and since you’re so used to it, you believe it to be your own.

The good news is that it’s very rare for even the darkest of other-dimensional energy to be able to cause you harm if you are aware of this phenomenon and take measures to protect yourself.

Spiritual Possession Follow-up

Share Button

As we discussed in a previous article, we believe spiritual possession exacerbates, and can even be the root of, some, but not all, problems and traumas in life. However, from a spiritual standpoint, there are no victims, so we feel dark energy and lost souls cannot exclusively be blamed for someone’s troubles without considering why the person was affected in the first place.

It’s often the karma of the host to experience the challenges of possession, yet it’s also their responsibility to heal themselves by removing the energy and strengthening themselves in order to avoid such circumstances in the future.

Our belief is that everyone has the free will to remove most negative energy and perhaps all lost souls from themselves, and we recommend specific techniques such as our Spiritual Detox mediation audio and the spiritual cleansing script in our Direct Your Destiny ™ e-package.

Lost souls are far more common than people realize. Why are we convinced of this? Due to our meditation practices, empathic nature and since we avoid things that cloud perception, we often naturally perceive what most people miss. In fact, sometimes we wish we were a little less innately other-dimensional because it can be unsettling and cause perception overload at times, especially when lost souls gravitate towards us because they sense we might be able to help them. Sometimes we wonder if someone posted “lost souls welcome” signs at our homes and offices.

One recent example involving lost souls happened when Stephen moved into a new home. Even though he used sage and white Light to clear it the day he moved in, the place still didn’t feel right. That night he was about to fall asleep when he felt and perceived the shadow of a man standing next to his bed. Since he was exhausted and knew it was only a ghost, he decided to create a Light of protection in his bedroom for the night so he could sleep and wait until the next day to assist the soul. The following day, while reading aloud his Spiritual Protection script, he perceived two guides dressed as policemen (for Stephen’s benefit, so he’d realize they were helpers) escort a drunken lost soul to the Light. Apparently, the lost soul’s body had died in a DUI accident and at some point the entity had followed the previous owners of Stephen’s place home.

You have the free will to always protect yourself, but we also believe that some dark energy (or at least that which might be classified as such), under certain circumstances, has a divine purpose. Astrologically, Mars and Saturn, for example, can represent fated destruction, strife, and failure (among other things), which is a necessary part of life, like death.

It’s entirely reasonable to classify various blocks that hindered your love life years ago, for instance, as important parts of your path. Why do we believe this, you ask? Because patterns in comprehensive charts indicate key life events, such as you finally overcoming love life blocks at a certain time.

Overcoming it at an earlier time wasn’t an option, as dictated by your personal fate.

Remember, a certain amount (for some, a lot more than others, as reflected in the comprehensive numerology and astrology charts) of adversity and failure is a natural and necessary part of your earthly existence and serve important spiritual purposes, contrary to many of the inspirational messages in today’s self-help marketplace.

What’s that you say? We’re preaching doom and gloom fatalism? We understand why it may be viewed that way if you haven’t witnessed what we have through our ongoing empirical research involving our client base and other work, from which we objectively derive our theories.

It can be very challenging at times to convey our findings without sounding “negative,” differing greatly from views of other, more famous “experts,” or sounding too “out there” to the uninitiated. But the reality is that “bad” things, like spirit possession and attachment,  happen in life for good reasons, and we do our best to relay this, along with the reasons why, so you can better prepare, react in the most  positive way possible and enjoy a more satisfying life.

8 Signs of Possession

Share Button

Are you or someone you know being influenced by lost souls or dark energy?

There’s a world-wide epidemic today that most people don’t know much about. It’s a very common occurrence, yet it’s misunderstood and usually overlooked.

It’s called spirit possession. “The Exorcist” movie was an exaggeration of the phenomenon, and a depossession by a priest is only one way to deal with it. It’s also known as spirit attachment and demonic possession. It happens when lost (disembodied) souls and, or dark energy interfere with or even take control of someone.

It often occurs after the abuse of drugs or alcohol (because these substances weaken your energy field), it can occur during abuse, and some people who are highly sensitive (e.g., Britney Spears, in our opinion), are more susceptible to it than others. Even a poor diet or high levels of stress can cause sensitive people to be more of a target. Those with addictions are almost always affected by it.

Taking responsibility yourself and your situation can be the beginning of healing and protecting yourself, but it can be more difficult for some to do this due to already existing, potent interference from dark energy. Ironically, even those who want to help themselves can be persuaded, frequently beyond conscious awareness, by dark energy or lost souls to avoid seeking help. The will to improve, along with effective methods, must be present to fully heal.

Why do lost souls or dark energy feed off of a host, you might ask? They remain earthbound and attach themselves, energetically, to those from which they can get the fix of alcohol, drugs, nicotine, food, sex, power, revenge, or whatever else they were addicted to before their physical bodies died.

As for dark energy, demons and other negative influences that interfere, their motives can be as simple as an allegiance with an evil force.

In our experience, however, and contrary to scary Hollywood movies, most demons are more like bratty, misbehaving children who are more easily controlled than you may think.

By the way, long ago we didn’t believe in “evil” or “dark” energy. But since doing a lot of empirical research on the subject and subsequently helping people with Spiritual Detox, we are now convinced that it does exist. There always has been and always will be polar opposites, as a natural part of your earthy existence: without darkness there cannot be light, without cold there cannot be heat, without fear there cannot be faith.

For more stubborn entities and dark energies, we offer a more extensive method of asking for spiritual help through our script (available in the Direct Your Destiny e-package), Spiritual Detox audio, or private sessions.

The following list includes signs of being influenced by dark energy or lost souls.

1)  Do you or someone you know have negative emotional or physical reactions to the idea of Spiritual Detox TM (such as “part of you” wanting to do it and “part of you” not wanting to do it)?

2)  Do you or someone you know have, physical, emotional, mental, or spiritual feelings of being blocked?

3)  Do you or someone you know abuse alcohol or drugs? (The use of either allows lost souls or dark energy to influence you far more easily.)

4)  Did you or someone you know have a sudden onset of alcohol or drug abuse, or a sudden onset of a desire to smoke cigarettes, overeat, or engage in some other addictive, unhealthy behavior?

5)  Do you or someone you know have distinct personality changes while under the influence?

6)  Do you or someone you know sense an unexplainable presence in your/their home or office (sometimes referred to as a “ghost”)? It’s common to sense the presence when falling asleep or waking up in the middle of the night.

7)  Did you or someone you know have sudden and unexplainable strife and conflict with a partner, family member, or friend?

8)  Do you or someone you know have an addiction to sex, a sudden or unexplainable onset of sadness, depression, reckless behavior, poor memory and concentration, change in personality, feelings of being followed or feeling drained, schizophrenia, physical problems, recurring dreams or nightmares, anger, guilt or anxiety, or hear inner voices (especially with negative messages)?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, it’s likely you or someone you know is being influenced by “lost souls” and, or dark energy. But do not be afraid.

The subjects of entity attachment and spirit possession may seem frightening, but there’s really nothing to fear. It is simply a matter of energy that needs to be firmly directed to the proper place and knowing how to protect yourself.

One way to protect yourself is to avoid drugs and excess alcohol, visualize a white light of protection around you often, and ask for help from God, your guides, or angels of the Light. Simply state your request for help out loud.

Spirits in my Room at Night

Share Button

Many people have told us that they sometimes wake up at night and see, what appears to be, spirits in their bedroom.

There are several possible explanations for this experience.

The spirits may be lost souls who, after their physical bodies died, have not yet gone to “the Light.” Perhaps the deaths occurred nearby, or they simply follow some people home. This is more likely if you work in a hospital, live near a cemetery, or have recently visited either.

If this was the case, audibly telling them to “go to the Light” will help direct them to a better place as will asking your guides of the Light to help with the process.

They may have been souls (yours included) who are back from the future to see how things are progressing with you. We don’t have a lot of explanation for this one, but we think it’s possible and feel we’ve experienced it ourselves.

They may have been spirit guides checking in with you.

They may be the souls of people sleeping, or temporarily away from their bodies for some other reason, and something attracted them to you.

It’s fairly common to feel like there are souls or spirits in the same room with you. Though many mean well, it can be difficult to get a good night’s sleep when they drop by for a visit. It can help to clear and protect yourself and your bedroom by visualizing healing, white light before bed if you don’t want to be bothered.

Finally, this type of experience could involve some mischievous entities. They’re usually more bothersome, like bratty children, than dangerous, so there’s not much to fear if this is the case. Ask your guides of the Light for protection and surround your home and yourself nightly with white Light.

The practice of surrounding one’s self with white light has much to do with the power of intent; if you believe you’re protected, you are more likely to be protected.

We regularly have experiences related to what you’ve described.

One experience occurred in Miami during the first night Stephen was living in his new apartment. He was awakened at 3 AM feeling like someone was placing their hand on his leg. He turned on the light but no one was there, so he meditated and perceived a man in his late 20s who had died of a drug overdose in the apartment. He sensed the entity was scared and unsure of where to go. Stephen called in his guides of the Light, the young man’s guides of the Light, and guided him into the Light.

A few days later, Stephen checked with the apartment management and found out that the last apartment occupant, a man in his late 20s, had in fact died in the apartment, but management didn’t know the cause.

A second experience occurred in Los Angeles. Many times for over a year, Stephen was awakened in the middle of the night feeling that an older woman was standing in the doorway of his bedroom. Since this type of experience is common for Stephen, it didn’t bother him much, but he knew it was best for her (and him) to move on. On several occasions, he used sage, his guides, and white light to clear the space and help her go to the light, but she didn’t seem to want to leave.

Eventually Stephen stopped sensing her presence and recently happened to ask his neighbor if the previous occupant had died in his home. The neighbor’s eyes got very wide and he asked why, and Stephen told him about the night-time visitations. He said that yes, an older woman who used to live there had a stroke and died. He described the woman and Stephen felt that this very well might have been the soul of the same woman he was sensing.

While talking with his neighbor (who is a writer for TV sitcoms) about sensing the former occupant’s spirit, Stephen was joking about it, which seemed to startle the man even more than how Stephen knew that an older woman had died in the home. Hollywood is known for portraying death, the unseen planes, and other metaphysical topics as scary and even evil.

However, to Stephen, they’re neither scary nor evil, just a part of life.

We recently heard of a case where an eight year-old girl’s aunt died of lung cancer and since the young girl was so close to her aunt, she told everyone to call her by her aunt’s name, insisted that her aunt’s clothes were hers, and began stealing her father’s cigarettes (her aunt died of lung cancer from smoking). At 33, the girl, now a woman, still likes to go by her deceased aunt’s name. She asked us if it’s possible she could be a medium for her deceased aunt. We told her the following.

What you are likely experiencing is called spirit possession or attachment. Instead of going to “the Light” when she died, your Aunt (her soul) chose to stick around. Souls choose to stay for various reasons, such as to watch over loved ones, because they’re afraid of “hell” (especially common with those personalities who were very religious), or to feed addictions.

Though she probably means well, at the very least, your Aunt is draining your energy. We recommend reading “The Unquiet Dead” by Dr. Edith Fiore. This is an excellent book on the subject and an interesting read. You’ll be surprised to learn how common possession is. In the back of the book is a great script we’ve used many times to gently send lost souls to “the Light.”

Unfortunately, there is a lot of misinformation floating around out there about this ghostly topic. A certain very well-known psychic who, for years has been making the rounds on TV talk shows, claims that there is “…no such thing” as possession.

Her simple, dismissive statement about this serious and often misunderstood subject is an injustice to the ground-breaking work done by researchers like Dr. Edith Fiore, Irene Hickman, Dr. William J. Baldwin, Dr. Shakuntala Modi, and others.

Moral of the story: Unless a seer is an expert in the area they comment on, it’s best to be careful about what you accept from them as truth. Even the best psychics do not have all the answers and are unable to provide absolute truth 100% of the time because they, like everyone else, sometimes have trouble putting aside their human “filters.” Everyone has their own unique fears and defenses, along with their own unique personal belief systems.

Possession, though not nearly as dramatic as the exaggerated scenes in the Hollywood movie The Exorcist, is very real and common. However, most attachments are just lost souls, like hitch-hikers, and simply need to be directed “home.”
