24 Affirmations to Help You Forgive

Share Button

Affirmations are powerful and can help transform any area of life if you use them correctly.

Can they buck fate, erase karma or help you create anything, no matter how ambitious the goal? We don’t believe so; we’ve found through our empirical research that many of the major events and people in your life are fated.

The good news is that you can make the most of your fate by using your free will. If you are in tune with yourself, at least somewhat realistic, and wiling to make the effort to reach your goals, affirmations can be like the wind at your back. What you think and believe can influence your reality, within the confines of your fate.

Affirmations are particularly useful to combat doubt, fears, and destructive worrying. How you perceive your life can make it a lot less stressful. Whenever you catch yourself thinking damaging thoughts, veto them and replace them with uplifting thoughts.

But worrying and self-doubt don’t only stem from your conscious mind; the subconscious mind has more control over your life than most people realize. Even if you consciously want to change your life, if your desired goal triggers your subconscious mind’s fears and defenses, you might find yourself sabotaging your goal without even realizing it.

Thankfully, affirmations can help overcome blocks in your subconscious mind because it can’t distinguish between imagination and reality.

Speaking of blocks, not forgiving yourself or anyone else can prevent you from being happy and block your life in various ways.

What’s that you say? A certain person doesn’t deserve to be forgiven? That’s understandable, but forgiveness isn’t for them, it’s for you. Forgiving yourself and anyone who hurt you is not about excusing bad behavior, but releasing the stored anger, resentment, or guilt that is holding you back. You don’t need to forget what someone did (because they might do it again), but forgiveness is key. And you don’t even need to tell them; this is about you.

Below are 24 affirmations to help you forgive and release. With repetition your subconscious mind will accept them, and you’ll find yourself feeling lighter and free of the burdensome weight.

Select one or more of the affirmations below, write it down and put it where you’ll see it often. Repeat it whenever you think of it, over and over, especially when you find yourself worrying. You can also repeat them in meditation as a focus point to go deeper.

1) I’m forgiving everyone and myself.

2) I’m forgiving everyone at work.

3) I’m forgiving everyone in my family.

4) I’m forgiving all friends, past, present, and future.

5) I’m forgiving my partner, and any past partners.

6) I’m forgiving my parents for any mistakes.

7) I’m forgiving myself for any mistakes.

8) I’m forgiving others for their weaknesses and mistakes.

9) I’m forgiving, I’m forgiving, I’m forgiving.

10) I’m releasing all anger

11) I’m releasing resentment and guilt and any bad behavior that stems from it.

12) I’m releasing any anger than prevents me from loving myself and others.

13) I’m releasing all anxiety.

14) I’m releasing any blocks to success.

15) I’m releasing all resentment and stress from it.

16) I no longer blame, but take total responsibility for my life.

17) I’m in charge of my feelings, so I let go.

18) I’m choosing to let go of the past, and let the heavy burden go.

19) I release everyone and they release me.

20) I perceive the whole picture, and forgive everyone.

21) The more I forgive, the more intuitive I become.

22) I’m accepting and forgiving myself and everyone else.

23) I’m forgiving and letting go of judgment.

24) I’m breathing deeply, relaxing, and forgiving.

Now that you understand your thoughts can help improve your reality, use these affirmations to reap the rewards of forgiving yourself and anyone else.

Five Things That Seem Ungodly But Are Really Spiritual

Share Button

You may wonder sometimes what is spiritual and what isn’t. According to New Age and religious standards, ”spiritual” has to do partly with worship, meditation, compassion, and grace.

We agree that regular prayers, meditation, and other devout and paranormal activities are spiritual. But many things that seem non-spiritual aren’t.

Below we list five things that seem ungodly but are really spiritual.

1. Constructively venting your frustrations is healthy, and mystical. That means you won’t incur any negative karma if you occasionally yell expletives while pounding your fist against your bed, for example.

Go ahead and scream at the top of your lungs in private if you’re having a bad day. Suppressing negative energy and painting a perma-smile on your face to display to the New Age community and everyone else is phony and unholy, along with being physically unhealthy. We’ve found that having a conversation with your guides or God, expressing your frustration or sadness, can be very fruitful, especially if you ask for help and solutions.

It’s perfectly normal to be frustrated, despondent, and even angry, at times. As long as you deal with it constructively, and take responsibility for your actions, you are still acting saintly.

2. Vulgar humor isn’t sacrilegious, despite what you may have been told. Go ahead and joke with your adult friends all you want. On the other side you’ll find out that you aren’t docked points for swearing or crude humor.

3. Sex before marriage, or having multiple sexual partners can enhance your awareness considering each intimate relationship offers opportunities for personal growth. As long as you avoid lying, deceiving, and emotionally and physically hurting yourself or anyone else, there’s nothing wrong with responsible, mutually agreed upon non-monogamy between consenting adults. Just be honest, make sure to avoid making promises you don’t intend to keep, and play safe.

Are you the type who prefers a long-term monogamous relationship, perhaps even life-long monogamy? That, too, can offer tremendous chance for growth, as long as you don’t resist relationship transitions and endings, or expect strict monogamy of someone whose nature is the opposite. Each person has different intimacy needs, and one type of relationship style doesn’t suit everyone.

4. The abundance of money and material possessions can be mystical, as long as it’s acquired legitimately and the focus isn’t entirely on insatiable acquisitiveness. The greater resources you possess, the greater good you can do, for yourself and others.

Piousness throughout history has been equated with vows of poverty and austere living. We can understand the notion, as it denotes you generally try to put others first, and living simply is a key to happiness. But living like an ascetic can be physically unhealthy, and the undercurrent of treating yourself badly doesn’t score good karma points. It’s acceptable to indulge yourself, even live opulently.

5. Loosening up and having a few drinks once in a while won’t negate your supernatural endeavors. We frequently go long stretches of time without any alcohol because it helps us maintain the endurance and discipline our work demands. Also, we are more sensitive to disincarnate and negative entities than the average person, and even one drink can make us a target. But as the old saying goes–if the strings are too tight, you can’t play. Then again, if they are too loose, such as through overindulgence, you can’t play at all.

Ultimately, there’s one test that makes behavior spiritual or not; does it hurt you or others? Does it significantly hurt the progression of your spiritual growth? If not, go for it. So much in life is spiritual beneath the mundane exterior.

Good Karma and Bad Karma–Past Lives of Celebrities

Share Button

Most people don’t realize that you can’t have karma without reincarnation, and the theory of reincarnation dictates you are the sum total of all your prior existences.

Even though you don’t consciously remember, all your actions in past lives, negative and positive, created the challenges and rewards you experience today, along with your physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual being.

While our findings show there may be some exceptions (such as select souls choosing to incarnate with challenges they didn’t earn with the intent of helping humanity through their trials), you are a sum total of all your past lives.

Although we acknowledge that reincarnation is a theory we can’t prove as fact, we’re convinced it’s a natural part of the evolution of the soul. We also accept that some prefer to view reincarnation as a metaphor. Either way, the concept helps to understand humanity, which leads to more compassion.

Over twenty-five years of empirical research involving this topic along with countless past life regressions (our own and others’), allows us to perceive spontaneous past life insight of family, friends, and strangers. Sometimes we perceive a general past life theme, which is always related to the current life circumstances, instead of details like who or where.

Past lives of celebrities:

This Hollywood star earned an academy award while still in his twenties. Critics say his famous director uncle helped his career, but we see him as a 1920 film star whose career was unjustly cut short, as well as a talented actor in several other past lives (spanning back to ancient times) who didn’t yet get the rewards he had earned. Thus, he was born into the perfect circumstances this time to reap the benefits of lifetimes of hard work. His connections are an example of how things that seem “undeserved” or “unearned” on the surface, sometimes aren’t.

This socialist dictator of a South American country who died with a net worth of 2 billion USD told his citizens regularly, in so many words, that rich people are bad and socialism is good, while the country’s economy deteriorated to desperate conditions. A key past life of his was as a ruthless crony capitalist business titan. Based on his life in South America, he still hadn’t learned his lessons about treating others as you want to be treated. He’ll have to come back and balance a lot of karma, considering his actions that resulted in millions suffering in poverty.

Although it’s only rock and roll, this legendary rocker has used his savvy business sense to reap huge profits from his and his band mate’s talents. He’s enjoyed a decades-long career and it’s difficult to imagine any young band today matching their longevity. We see him in past lives as someone who was forced to endure long-term solitude, perhaps as a prisoner, which led him to having to balance, in future lifetimes, the lack of sensual gratification. Depravation of one’s sensual appetite can manifest as too much of a good thing in following lives. We also see him as a successful merchant in more than one lifetime, as well as a well-known performer for the court in renaissance times.

His top rated cable news political show makes him a star on the political right, yet excessively rigid positions on abortion and the failed drug war (he’s in favor of it) may point to subconscious, hidden guilt from one or more past lives where he abused his power relating to these two issues. Perhaps he advocated the killing of innocents pertaining to the opium trade in ancient China.

She’s a star on the left and has her own cable TV news show. An out of the closet Caucasian lesbian, she makes no secret of her disdain of conservative, white males. We see her as a bigoted white male in a past life, one who treated women unfairly. She has returned to balance her karma, and her current career helps her to do this.

This NBA star retired in the 1990s and is recognized as one of the greatest, if not the greatest, to ever play the game. We believe he’s enjoying power and glory this time from many lifetimes involving military, spanning back to ancient times. His prominence goes back through the Middle East, including ancient Egypt and Babylon. We sense he subconsciously, while on the court, experienced the game as doing battle like he’s done successfully so many times in the past.

We believe it’s uncommon for a person to be famous in the majority of their lifetimes. Instead, souls rise and fall on the fame (or infamy) meter throughout their various incarnations. Even though you’re not famous now, you may have been in one or more past lives, or you may be in a future life. Famous or not, what ultimately matters most is how you handle your important life lessons.

Spiritual Advice You Should Ignore Part I

Share Button

There’s no shortage of spiritual information online. Seek answers, and you shall find helpful information. But you’ll also find plenty of spiritual advice you should ignore.

We started exploring metaphysical and spiritual subjects over thirty years ago. In our exhaustive searches and studies, we never followed only one religion, outlook, guru, or system. Instead, we like to try and test many options, then apply reason, intuition, and long-term observation to determine what works, and what doesn’t.

Below is a collection of the spiritual advice we’ve found isn’t helpful, or worse, even harmful.

Check your horoscope. Horoscopes and computer generated astrology reports are too general to be accurate.

Have your chart done. Unless the astrologer is very psychic and uses a basic chart as a touchstone for insight, one single chart, the basic natal modern astrology chart, is merely an introduction. Your comprehensive natal and timing patterns, comprised of hundreds of factors, tell the real story, mitigating or supporting any single notion found in the basic chart.

Numerology and astrology are only about possibilities, not predicting fate. We’ve found that ancient, comprehensive numerology and astrology can predict fate, if you go deep enough. The “only possibilities” mantra is based on trivialities and distortions of these ancient sciences.

You can change your destiny and nothing is set in stone. We’ve found that most significant events in your life, those you need to experience in order to learn, balance karma, or reap your rewards, are set up before your birth. Thus, many of your core life circumstances and events are set in stone.

Take drugs for a vision quest or spiritual trip. All drugs lower your resistance to and attract spiritual troublemakers and parasites. Use meditation, not drugs, to grow spiritually.

Past lives don’t matter. They don’t matter until you realize how much (a lot) the subconscious memories, emotions and karma from them are influencing your current life. You are a collection of your experiences from past lives, and your current life often mirrors your past lives.

You can erase your karma. It’s obvious to us, after 1000s of past life regressions, that everything you do and say will come back to you, even for people who don’t believe in past lives. Forgiveness and acceptance can ease karma, but you can’t overcome it without wading through your (karmic) experiences.

You need to be in a relationship to grow spiritually. Perhaps for certain lessons with certain people, but relationships can also keep you stuck. Learning to enjoy being alone at least some of the time can help you make strides in your spiritual and personal growth.

The Secret, a popular book published in 2006, can help you achieve any goal you want. Unfortunately, such New Age advice about the law of attraction leaves out very important parts of the puzzle: It’s only one law, and other spiritual laws, such as the laws of karma and fate, supersede the law of attraction. In other words, if it’s not your fate to be fabulously wealthy, famous, or a best-selling author, it’s not going to happen. The good news is that if it is your fate, you will be able to use your free will to make it happen. Even if it’s not, from a spiritual perspective, the experience of trying to reach a goal is more important than reaching it.

If you believe you can achieve. By all means, shoot for the stars. But it’s important to be realistic too. Otherwise, you’ll burn yourself out and not have enough energy to focus on meeting the goals that are part of your destiny.

What you desire is your “birthright.” Sometimes yes, other times no. Just because you want something doesn’t mean you’ve earned it through good karma.

A vow of poverty is pious and honorable. This implies that making money is a bad thing, which is false as long as you earn it honestly. If you want to be a martyr and add more struggle to your life, go ahead, but we don’t recommend it.

Our Direct Your Destiny e-package gives you tools and insight to cut through the New Age nonsense, tap into your spiritual power, and make the most of your life. https://spiritualgrowthnow.com/directyourdestiny/

The Five Stages of Mysticism

Share Button

The five stages of mysticism aren’t as complex as you may think. Contrary to popular belief, you don’t have to have a long mane of white hair and live in an exotic, remote part of the world to be a mystic.

The American Heritage dictionary defines mysticism as “…consciousness of transcendent reality or of God through deep meditation or contemplation. Mystic is defined as of or relating to religious mysteries or occult rites and practices; one who practices or believes in mysticism.”

You may have deep mystical tendencies and not even realize you’re a mystic, by definition.

Spiritually sensitive individuals, those who search deeply for the meaning of life, and those who make self-realization and personal growth a priority are also mystics.

The stages of mysticism involve introduction, exploration, discipline and application, accessing the other side, and then absolute detachment and acceptance of everything and everyone, including what you can’t change.

The process of becoming a spiritual wizard is as challenging as any you’ll encounter, but if you’re like us and are willing to work at it, you can make good progress.

Below we list the five stages of mysticism, according to our long-term empirical findings:

1. Metaphysical topics such as astrology and past lives get a laugh in Hollywood movies and TV shows, and they are targets of attack thanks to conventional wisdom and indoctrination. Yet as a mystic or aspiring mystic, something deep within your being tells you that there’s more to those occult topics than at first glance. Later you learn that they’re gateways to the meaning of life.

As kids, we enjoyed the show “In Search Of,” hosted by Leonard Nimoy in the late 1970s and early 1980s. The show covered topics such as reincarnation, psychic phenomena, pyramid secrets, and astrology.

We still recall an episode with a psychic who predicted something that came true years later. It may have been the first time, in this life, we seriously considered the concept of predestination.

As a mystic, perhaps you already realize that the reason you are drawn to metaphysical topics is because you’ve studied and, or practiced them long ago in previous lifetimes. Also, while that last sentence may seem laughable to someone who has no experience with these topics, you simply “know” that it’s true.

2. Exploration of mystical topics becomes a fun diversion or hobby in the second stage. You may seek the counsel of a psychic or astrologer, or try past life regression, and spiritual books that offer ancient wisdom (not just inspiration) become a gold mine of spiritual knowledge to satisfy your craving.

Unfortunately, dead-ends are quite common in the second stage. But you eventually find your footing and the mistakes become guideposts that allow you to advance your spiritual growth.

In the early years, we spent countless hours pouring through every source related to our current areas of expertise. It was exhausting, but worth it.

Another downside of the second stage is that friends and family may not be very accepting of your pursuits. As we explored the paranormal in our youth, someone close to us told us, “You’re just going through a stage.” How wrong she was.

3. The third stage of mysticism is application of mystical arts and sciences. Through consistent discipline, you begin to see, firsthand, the links between the here and now and the other side. For instance, your regular meditation leads to prophetic dreams and visions that make it easier for you to deal with challenges in life. You might also become acquainted with archangels and your spiritual guides of the Light.

4. In the fourth stage you acknowledge the divinity in everyone and see patterns and signs in everyday life (e.g., “as above, so below”). You consistently pierce the veil between the mundane and higher dimensions.

The esoteric sciences, including astrology and numerology and other psychic arts, also give you insight about situations and everyone you meet, particularly their karma and timing, and what you mean to each other.

Detachment (letting go), gratitude, and faith are three of your most powerful spiritual tools.

5. The fifth stage involves absolute detachment from and acceptance of everything and everyone, including what you can’t change. We have yet to meet someone who practices this authentically at all times. We aspire to attain this level of being some day. Those who do remain in a state of bliss and nothing fazes them. Typically, people may bounce up to this peak temporarily, but then tumble back down to a lower level when life happens.

Ultimately, the five stages of mysticism involve developing and following your intuition, looking beyond conventional logic and seeking the truth, exploring metaphysics, consistent discipline, making the most of yourself and your life, and accepting what you can’t change. The benefits are authentic spiritual growth and a deeper understanding of yourself and others, which all lead to spiritual riches well beyond what most people can fathom.

Coping With Loneliness– a Spiritual Perspective

Share Button

Everyone has phases in their life when they feel lonely, especially if they are different or unwilling or unable to conform and follow the herd.

For example, for spiritually sensitive people, who see the world differently and often perceive what most other people don’t (e.g, the truth behind appearances), it’s harder to connect with people because socializing can be overwhelming and exhausting.

Your love life, or a lack of one, can make you feel lonely too. Contrary to popular belief, however, not all singles are lonely; many would rather be single than stuck in a bad or unfulfilling relationship, and you can still feel lonely in a relationship.

It’s important to realize that being alone does not equal lonely. Alone time is important for your emotional and spiritual health, and to recharge, especially if you’re an introvert.

17 Ways to Cope With Loneliness

Focus on your spiritual side. Daily meditation will help you connect with your Higher Self, guides of the Light, God (or whomever you pray to or ask for spiritual help from). Once you realize that you are never truly alone, loneliness is easier to deal with.

Reflect on what you feel you need to soothe your loneliness. Is it a partner, interaction with a neighbor, a friend, a better relationship with a family member, a conversation with someone, or an intimate connection? Once you are clear about it, take steps to reach the goal. Even if you don’t get what you want right away, taking action will probably make you feel better.

Examine the root cause of your loneliness. For those of you who are spiritually adventurous, using past life regression to go back to the root cause of your loneliness (or any other problem) can be extremely enlightening and liberating.

Do a Spiritual Detox. It’s easy to pick up lost souls or dark energy that might be dragging you down and contributing to your feeling of loneliness. https://spiritualgrowthnow.com/spiritual-detox/

Stop feeling sorry for yourself and learn to be content alone. Treating yourself well and finding solo hobbies and projects you enjoy makes this easier.

Consider getting a pet for unconditional love and acceptance, but only if you have the time, space, and money to care for it properly.

Join a group. A group such as those found on Meetup.com can be a good experience. Groups are better for extroverts who are energized by being around people; introverts need to be more selective about who they hang around or they’ll just feel drained and possibly even more lonely.

Volunteer your time. For example, read to people in nursing homes. In addition to feeling good about helping others, the experience will make you feel very grateful that, while you might feel lonely as many in nursing homes do, at least you are young and healthy enough to take care of yourself and leave your home whenever you want.

Change your perspective of what you think your friends should be like. School age kids tend to flock to people more like themselves. As you get older you realize you might have a lot in common with someone who may seem too different at first glance. From a spiritual perspective, everyone you know now you’ve known before in past lives. Sometimes the exterior appearance is misleading, so be open to friendships with all kinds of people.

Be less judgmental of people. You might be creating barriers between yourself and potential friends by judging them. When you accept that everyone is different, no one is perfect, and we’re all in this together, it’s easier to feel connected to people.

Realize it’s better to be alone than to wish you were alone. If you’re single and lonely, be grateful you’re not stuck in a bad relationship. You wouldn’t know it by looking at your Facebook feed, but relationships that are draining, one-sided and extremely sacrificial, deteriorating, long over, or illusion based are far more common than people realize.

Avoid Facebook when you feel lonely. While reading through Facebook posts from your “friends,” it’s easy to think that you’re the only one not living a fabulous life. Most people only share the happy, social side of their lives, not their fears, mistakes, and embarrassments.

Share what you know. Finding a way to help others with your expertise or whatever you are good at will make you feel better, and you might even make some new friends in the process.

Accept it and don’t feel guilty if you prefer to be alone sometimes and not be bothered by all the social games people play.

Make changes if you are depressed. Not feeling like socializing can be the result of depression, which will magnify loneliness, which then further adds to depression. Medication can be helpful for extreme cases, but as this article points out, advances in the understanding of depression, and healthier ways to treat it, offer new hope.

Take care of yourself. Avoid self-medicating with booze, drugs, or excess food, which will multiply your negative feelings. A healthy diet and daily exercise is essential for having the energy to feel your best so you can not only deal with loneliness, but also be a shining light to which others are drawn.

Don’t take life too seriously. Yes, we’ve all incarnated to work through karma and learn, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have fun along the way too.

Our Direct Your Destiny e-package gives you tools and insight to use your spiritual power to banish loneliness, conquer your fears, and make the most of your life. https://spiritualgrowthnow.com/directyourdestiny/

Ways to Feel More Magical

Share Button

You’ve probably felt magical many times–those moments when time seems to stop, you feel like you can do anything, and all is well in your world.

Unfortunately, due to the pressures from everyday life and being pulled in multiple directions at once, being more magical is one of the last things you have time to contemplate.

In the midst of the daily grind, it’s sometimes easy to forget your soul is magical, as is your connection to the Light, or God, or however you choose to define it. Being more magical will help you in all areas of life. If you don’t feel magical, you’ve just temporarily lost touch with your inner nature due to all of life’s obligations.

What Diminishes Your Magic: conforming to the point of losing touch with who you are and what you want; holding a grudge; playing small to avoid offending anyone; not speaking up when you know you need to; saying yes when you mean no; failing to express the truth; allowing others to be disrespectful to keep the peace.

Other things that diminish your magic include drugs and excess alcohol. One look at a substance abuser or problem drinker and it’s often apparent, if you’re spiritually sensitive; their Light is dimmed or even totally eclipsed by darkness. Junk food, excess sugar, lack of exercise, and stress can have the same effect. Even excess TV, video games, texting, or Internet surfing can drain your magic.

Having sex when you don’t want to can also compromise your magic, as can remaining in a relationship that is over, trying too hard to be liked, kissing up to someone, being overly critical instead of seeing the Light in others, and being around negative people.

The complexities of daily life can deplete your magic, but there are ways to enhance it.

How to be more wizardly: express more love and compassion and less hate; refrain from judging or assuming and instead try to understand why; accept people as they are; accept yourself as you are; accept what is; gather your courage and do it; find something to be grateful about in every moment; meditate daily and ask for help from whomever you pray to; spend at least a little time alone every day; dress how you feel; care less what people think; talk about the big elephant in the room; grow or buy some flowers; write about a thought provoking experience; paint, draw, dance, or make music; develop a talent; listen to uplifting music; read a good book; have a conversation with a child; have a conversation with an elderly person; give a compliment to someone; help someone in need.

Be more magnificent from the inside out: understand karma and reincarnation (and how you can’t have one without the other); pay attention to (especially repetitive) symbolism and signs in your daily life; dream about what your life would be like if you reached a cherished goal; dream about what your life would be like if you always expressed love instead of fear.

Be more mystical by being healthy: exercise daily; make time to relax; limit sugar and processed foods; walk in nature.

Be more bewitching at home: thoroughly declutter and clean a room in your home; smudge your home with sage; turn off your phone and the TV for a few hours; cook a new recipe.

Be more enchanting in your love life: let go of any past loves; let go of any love life agendas and just enjoy the moment; let go of expectations; forgive yourself and anyone who has ever hurt you; have meaningful sex.

In addition to meditation, you can tap into your inner magic, gain awareness, and connect with God and, or spiritual helpers of the Light with the help of spiritual tools such as the following: comprehensive numerology and astrology; affirmations; subliminal MP3s; tarot; runes; hypnosis; past life regression; future progression.

Please note: Never manipulate anyone with spells or use black magic. Instead, use your magic only for the benefit of all involved, stay in the Light and only work with guides of the Light.

You are a magical, spiritual being. The more in touch you are with your inner magic, the more you can contribute to creating a better world.

Our Direct Your Destiny e-package helps you get in touch with your inner magic–a surefire way to get centered with a special meditation audio MP3 that automatically puts your mind in a meditative state, and an invaluable spiritual protection and cleansing, ready to use script.

Demonic Possession or Spiritual Attack–How to Tell the Difference

Share Button

Psychic (spiritual) attack is quite different than being possessed by disembodied souls or worse, one or more demons.

The problem is that it’s easy for the inexperienced to completely overlook the cause of the trouble, or to confuse spiritual attacks and possession.

Below we explain possession and psychic attacks to help you identify each.

Possession:

1. Just as your physical body accumulates dirt and grime, your unseen body (i.e. spiritual self) picks up unwanted energy too. Disembodied souls, which are souls that have not gone to the Light after shedding their body, are common. Sometimes, the energy is demonic in nature.

2. Possession or attachment involving disembodied souls is typically a parasite/host relationship; the disembodied soul wants something from you. The lost soul may be lonely or confused, an alcoholic or nicotine addict before death and, or it may seek other earthly pleasures through you, including the joy of eating and sex, for example.

3. One of the easiest ways to pick up disembodied souls, or worse, demonic energy, is to drink excessively or take mind altering drugs. Even the seemingly harmless use of marijuana will open the door to hangers-on.

We avoid all drugs besides alcohol, but an experience with pot at age 19 in college with friends helped us begin to understand the danger. After smoking, one friend, who by that time was an experienced user, was spiritually attuned enough to recognize something wasn’t right.

Our friend suddenly seemed annoyed, like there were mosquitoes buzzing around his head. He stormed out of the party, leaving us wondering where he was going. We were laughing because we intuitively understood that he had picked up something, but we didn’t know much about possession at that time. He returned about 15 minutes later soaking wet; he had searched the neighborhood until he found a swimming pool to jump into in order to “cleanse” himself of whatever had joined him. We all thought it was hilarious, of course, not understanding how serious the problem can be.

We now realize that our friend could sense such a thing because he has a lot of other-dimensional energy due to, in part, we suspect, shamanistic lifetimes. Unfortunately, his energy can turn dark when he’s under the influence, potentially posing a threat to himself and others.

Other ways your energy field is weakened and thus more vulnerable to possession or attachment include being in a heightened state of fear, anger, or depression and enduring abuse as a child. Hospitals, cemeteries, smoking lounges, and bars can be teaming with these invisible pests.

Once you have one disembodied soul with you, you open the door to more joining, becoming one big pernicious party, and it can greatly interfere with your peace of mind. According to Dr. Edith Fiore, insanity frequently involves severe possession.

4. Watch for distinct, unexplained changes in your outlook and behavior if you suspect you’re hosting some other-dimensional hitchhikers. For example, a sudden, strong appetite for cigarettes, a particular type of alcohol or junk food may be a sign that you have some uninvited guests.

5. If you’re spiritually sensitive and, or meditate regularly, you may perceive or feel entities around you, uninvited guests camped out in your energy field or home, especially as you fall asleep or meditate.

Spiritual attacks:

The idea of hexes and curses may seem illogical, but we do believe it’s possible to direct negative energy at someone and impact their life. To what degree the target’s life is impacted is debatable.

The offender may not even realize she’s doing it either; she may simply become very angry with someone, and unknowingly direct her toxic energy at the person.

Those who knowingly or unknowingly direct harmful or manipulative energy at others will receive the same hurtful energy in return, in time, according to karmic law.

It’s important to note that disembodied souls and demons can also attack spiritually.

Some things you can do to protect yourself from psychic attacks include the following:

1. Identify any hidden guilt you may possess–subconscious guilt makes you believe you deserve retribution, opening the door to self-castigation, which may be accelerated by a spiritual attack.

2. Avoid weakening your energy field through excessive drinking, drugs, sugar, or other escapist behavior. Get enough sleep and sunshine.

3. Ask for protection and guidance from your guides and angels of the Light (e.g., Archangels Michael, Raphael, Uriel, Gabriel, and all their legions of the Light). These and other helpers from the other side are not sanctioned by any of world’s organized religions; feel free to ask for their assistance without needing to associate with or indebt yourself to any denomination.

Over time, by following these tips, you’ll be able to tell the difference between possession and spiritual attacks.

Reactions to New Age Myths– Telling Symptoms

Share Button

The New Age marketplace includes countless well-meaning people. We applaud those who insist on honesty with their offerings and don’t put profits first.

However, like any industry, it has its share of tricksters and hucksters. Many don’t mean to mislead, but they feel pressure to generate income and press, and in the process lose their integrity.

Note: this article may seem “negative” to some people, but by pointing out the harsh reality of the mystical marketplace, our goal is to help you avoid falling for New Age hype, which can waste time and money and seriously hinder your spiritual progression.

Since the 1980s we’ve investigated virtually everything under the metaphysical rainbow. In the early years, we experienced a lot of dead-ends, but as time went on we gradually learned how to tell the difference between authentic mysticism and claptrap.

Cosmic carnival barkers make wild promises and statements including these: achieve never-ending prosperity and bliss through unity consciousness training; master ascension beyond the polarity of this dimension; rid yourself of your life’s karma without having to balance it directly; create the reality you want, overriding your predetermination; dissolve your spiritual parameters; everything is shifting to a new dimension and you can shift into the reality you want; extreme financial and love life success is your birthright; you can have it all due to the new potent spiritual era we are in at this time; everyone is transiting from cause and effect to resonant causation so you can create whatever you want though the power of intent; get rid of all the bad stuff in your life through forgiveness training; and so on.

Misinformation plus the desire for profit along with the power of persuasion, particularly when helped along by a gang of merry demons from the dark side, makes New Age dead ends all too common.

Watch for these telling symptoms of New Age funny business to save time and money:

1. In a bookstore you happen across a book entitled “Achieve Anything, Guaranteed!” and suddenly have an unexplained feeling of abdominal bloating. It’s your subconscious telling you the author is full of it.

2. The urge to vomit after a Facebook friend recommends liking a New Age fan page entitled “Rise Above Your Financial Debt Through Easy Spiritual Exercises,” isn’t because of what you ate for lunch.

3. Pay attention to the irritability you sense beneath the surface of your consciousness after you notice that famous best-selling author is promoting what seems like his hundredth book about getting the “life you deserve.”

4. That persistent ringing in your ears isn’t tinnitus, it’s your spiritual guides telling you that the “Find Your Soul Mate in Less Than 30 Days” programs and other too-good-to-be-true promotions are to be taken with a grain of salt.

5. Feelings of disorientation and not knowing where you are for periods of time don’t necessarily mean you’re in the twilight zone or that you need to see a doctor. One can’t help but suffer such symptoms after being bombarded with New Age seminar promo e-mails like this: “…Millions of people have read his books, but few have heard these secrets live. In attending this seminar, you will learn about the single, simple exercise that immediately makes people get rid of suffering for good and prosper!

Perhaps the author’s marketing team needs to add a disclaimer: “This man is a creative writer and showman, about as far from a spiritual teacher as you can get. So when you don’t get the results we promised, remember that we’ll say anything to make money. And we do!”

If you experience any of these or similar symptoms on your spiritual path, note the topic of your focus, and remind yourself that sometimes a desire for profit and recognition come before truth or a well-researched claim.

We would like to remind New Age promoters that the New Age industry won’t ever be viewed favorably by sending people down the primrose path of illusion.
It’s best to temper those big promises with a dose of reality and a disclaimer. Also, authentic mysticism is about self-discovery, not escapism.

Our findings show that you can’t cheat fate, but you have free will to make the most of your predestination, within the framework of your fate.

Maintain a sharp sense of discernment and you’ll save an enormous amount of time and money on your spiritual journey and avoid the New Age malarkey.

9 Kinds of Intelligence–Which do You Possess?

Share Button

Academic performance is widely accepted as an indication of intelligence. But excellent grades may only equate to a talent for memorizing facts, figures, and formulas, not necessarily wisdom, brilliance, or street smarts. Various kinds of intelligence seem to exist, considering the world is replete with millionaire and billionaire high school and college dropouts.

Howard Gardner, in his 1983 book Frames of Mind: The Theory of Multiple Intelligences, proposes seven different kinds of intelligence.

Supporters of Gardner’s theory contend the traditional definition of intelligence is too restricted, and that humans think and learn in different ways.

Critics say his theory isn’t scientific enough, and that Gardner is simply using the word intelligence instead of the word ability.

Below are the seven different forms of intelligence, as defined on Gardner’s website, plus two more.

Visual–spatial

“The ability to conceptualize and manipulate large-scale spatial arrays (e.g. airplane pilot, sailor), or more local forms of space (e.g. architect, chess player).”

Bodily-Kinesthetic

“The ability to use one’s whole body, or parts of the body (like the hands or the mouth), to solve problems or create products (e.g. dancer).”

Musical

“Sensitivity to rhythm, pitch, meter, tone, melody and timbre. May entail the ability to sing, play musical instruments, and/or compose music (e.g. musical conductor).”

Linguistic

“Sensitivity to the meaning of words, the order among words, and the sound, rhythms, inflections, and meter of words (e.g. poet). (Sometimes called language intelligence.)”

Logical-mathematical

“The capacity to conceptualize the logical relations among actions or symbols (e.g. mathematicians, scientists). Famed psychologist Jean Piaget believed he was studying the range of intelligences, but he was actually studying logical-mathematical intelligence.”

Interpersonal

“The ability to interact effectively with others. Sensitivity to others’ moods, feelings, temperaments and motivations (e.g. negotiator). (Sometimes called social intelligence.)”

Intrapersonal

“Sensitivity to one’s own feelings, goals, and anxieties, and the capacity to plan and act in light of one’s own traits. Intrapersonal intelligence is not particular to specific careers; rather, it is a goal for every individual in a complex modern society, where one has to make consequential decisions for oneself. (Sometimes called self intelligence.)”

Naturalistic

“The ability to make consequential distinctions in the world of nature as, for example, between one plant and another, or one cloud formation and another (e.g. taxonomist). (Sometimes called nature intelligence.)” This wasn’t part of Gardner’s original seven, but he added it in 1999.

Gardner also suggested “existential” intelligence in his 1999 book, which could be interpreted as spiritual intelligence.

What is spiritual intelligence?

Professor of Psychology at UC Davis, California Robert Emmons defines it as “the adaptive use of spiritual information to facilitate everyday problem solving and goal attainment.”

He proposed four parts of spiritual intelligence:

  1. “The capacity to transcend the physical and material.”
  2. “The ability to experience heightened states of consciousness.”
  3. “The ability to sanctify everyday experience.”
  4. “The ability to utilize spiritual resources to solve problems.”

Based on our observations, if you have high spiritual intelligence, you may seem unusual, even weird, to most people. You may have tried to fit in, but feel like an outsider or misfit. You may be very psychic, empathic, and sometimes aware of the truth of situations to the point of it being overwhelming.

From where do the natural abilities associated with each form of intelligence originate? Are they just random talents included with the body? Are they gifts from God?

We believe natural abilities are usually the result of earning them through practice in past lives, even if you don’t consciously remember the past lives. Some people are fortunate to possess more than a few forms of intelligence. This might indicate they’ve worked hard in many lifetimes to master the skills.

The vast majority of people aren’t super-human, possessing high levels of multiple forms of intelligence. Even Stephen Hawking, who is considered one of the most intelligent men in the world, may not be extremely spiritually intelligent, in our opinion.

In an interview published in The Guardian, Hawking said he believes there is, “no heaven or afterlife,” and that such a notion was a, “fairy story for people afraid of the dark.” Mr. Hawking doesn’t appear to have done any research about life after death, unlike Stafford Betty PhD, who has been researching it for over 25 years. Isn’t a sign of intelligence not passing judgment on that which you haven’t thoroughly investigated?

As you can see, everyone is different and unique, and there certainly seems to be many different kinds of intelligence. When you follow your passions and develop your talents, you’ll be improving your form of intelligence and, or ability.
