Joe Pesci (born February 9, 1943) is an American actor and musician renowned for his intense, versatile performances and distinctive screen presence. He has delivered some of cinema’s most memorable supporting roles in films such as Raging Bull, Goodfellas, Casino, My Cousin Vinny, and Home Alone. A frequent collaborator with Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro, Pesci won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of the volatile Tommy DeVito in Goodfellas (1990). Before his film breakthrough, he worked as a child actor, musician, and even as a restaurant manager.

Martin Scorsese, who directed Pesci in multiple iconic films, has praised him saying, “Joe has an incredible instinct. He brings an authenticity and raw energy that few actors can match. Working with him is always electric.”
