Steven Spielberg (born December 18, 1946) is an American filmmaker, producer, and screenwriter widely regarded as one of the most influential and commercially successful directors in cinematic history. He rose to fame with Jaws (1975), and went on to create iconic films including E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Jurassic Park, Schindler’s List, Saving Private Ryan, and Lincoln.
