Meditation Tricks

Share Button

Meditation seems challenging to many people, and rightly so. It requires steadfast discipline, yet the benefits of regular meditation are extraordinary, including peace of mind and even enhanced physical health.

Below we include questions from someone who wants to meditate more effectively, along with our feedback and meditation tricks.

“After six days of putting meditation into practice, I have experienced seeing flashes of light. I usually keep a notepad and record my experiences. Now I’m not sure of what exactly I am looking for or should I not be looking for anything at all. The flashes of light is the only occurrence I have experienced so far. The flashes of light have any meaning at all?”

In time, through consistent meditation, you’ll receive the answers to these questions. The flashes may be guides on the other side, a physical or subconscious symptom, or nothing.

“What exactly am I looking for? Is it an image? Is it a sound?”

You are looking for exactly nothing. Your goal is to detach from your mind. We’ve heard many people say, “My mind moves too fast for meditation.” They’re missing the point. The speed of your thinking is irrelevant as it relates to meditation and meditation is the solution for monkey-mind. One of the best ways to detach from your mind is unwavering focus on your chest plate (or third eye, or on a repetitive chant like “Om”).

Think of what goes through a mountain climber’s mind during the most difficult part of her climb–nothing aside from doing what she needs to do to safely complete it because she has no choice. Although you have a choice with meditation, try to mirror the intense, unwavering focus of a mountain climber during your meditation to maximize the benefits.

Since the mind has a natural tendency to wander, upon beginning your meditation session, tell yourself, “Okay, I’ll think about everything after this session.” Then imagine putting all your thoughts, before and during, in a large bag for later. After ten minutes or so of unwavering focus and being in the moment, you will begin to let go of stress and a racing mind.

When you reach a point of tranquility, then focus on a question or problem. Or, you could ask yourself, “What do I need to know right now?”

“During Meditation, can one really receive answers to any problems one may have? Will it take years of practice to receive such insight at any time?”

You will be amazed at the clarity you’ll receive through long-term meditation. With practice you will receive answers. It may not take many years, but instead a regular routine which makes meditation easier the more you do it.

You may ask a question before or during meditation and not get the answer until you wake up the next morning, or the following week. You may hear the answer from a stranger as he passes by on the street, or on TV from a broadcaster. You will get the information you are supposed to get when you are supposed to get it. Also, you won’t get information you’re not supposed to know.

“I have been getting into the habit of meditating in the morning when I wake up or midday afternoon for 15 minutes or up to 30 if I can.”

Excellent! Keep doing it. Here are some other tips you can use to make the most of your meditation sessions: try using music, or try absolute silence; when something interferes with your meditation, like a noisy neighbor, embrace it as part of your meditation; try it at various times of the day to see which works best for you; try aromatherapy or incense (make sure to open a window to vent any toxic fumes); try meditation in a group (you’ll be surprised at how much more intensely you’ll feel the natural brain opiate release); limit your sugar and caffeine intake–it makes detaching from your mind easier; avoid drugs and excessive drinking; try it after exercise or sex; if your attention starts to wander, begin counting at one and imagine gently writing each number on your chest plate; and ask for help from God, or your guides or angels of the Light.

Demonic Possession and Lost Souls–Responses To Critics

Share Button

Demonic possession, lost souls, and our philosophies about the topics are controversial, based on the feedback we receive.

Over twenty-five years ago, we were hesitant to embrace the concepts of unseen demonic influences and lost souls, otherwise known as ghosts. But today, we fully accept these concepts, based on our objective findings.

We share what we’ve learned to help you cut through the misunderstandings and misinformation and avoid the serious problems related to the issues.

Below we list feedback from three anonymous individuals, along with our commentary.

Comment #1:

“Your teachings are not very accurate. ‘Ask for help from God, your guides, or angels of the Light’? Obviously, you’re spouting New Age nonsense. In reality, God does not tell you to ask for help from angels or spirit guides because that is a way to become possessed by demons. Angels won’t listen to you. They will only listen to God. Clearly, you don’t know the One True God. Nobody is haunted by ‘lost souls,’ those are demons! Only the One True God can help you. Read the Torah and you’ll know.”

Comment #2:

“It’s doubtful you can help yourself with demonic possession or lost souls, as you put it. Only a properly trained exorcist with the Catholic cloak, crucifix, rosary, bible, and the help of saints can help those who are possessed.”

While we recognize that organized religion can be wonderfully beneficial for many people, other-dimensional entities including demons, lost souls, and angels are not religiously sanctioned, and predate today’s organized religions.

The belief in angels can be found in almost every culture in recorded history, and shamans and sorcerers of countless cultures have performed depossessions.

For example, over 6000 years ago Sumerians carved human-like beings with wings into stone, Sumerian priests performed exorcisms, and the Sumerians recited protection prayers, as depicted on cuneiform clay tablets.

Once you are well informed about these topics, it’s perfectly safe to do your own depossessions with the help of higher-level spirit guides (who are always willing to help if you ask!), though you can always seek the help of an expert.

Comment #3:

“I don’t believe in spirits, ghosts, demons, god or any of that stuff. I’m an atheist. Science has proven you do not know what you’re talking about. The unknown happens and your imagination takes over, that’s all it is. Gullible people see scary movies then re-create the horrors in their life out of a need for excitement or even from being crazy. The only way to get your brain to stop creating delusions is to get the right medication and go through therapy.”

We tend to view those who worship science while simultaneously attacking spirituality and religion, proclaiming their superiority over those who believe in God, other-dimensional beings, and metaphysical concepts, as conceited, bigoted miscreants who deny evidence of the unseen from countless cultures around the world that date back to the beginning of recorded history.

If you can’t touch it or prove it within the rigid confines of modern science, it doesn’t exist, say the skeptics. Scientists today focus on technological advances including sending spacecraft to other planets and other mundane concerns, which is rightfully their domain.

Inaccurately contending that (dogmatic) conventional scientific method applies to everything, including concerns beyond the material world, is not scientific.

Demons, disembodied souls, and the topic of possession may seem irrational or frightening, but there’s nothing to fear once you realize it’s simply a matter of protecting yourself from misplaced energy that needs to be sent to the Light.

See other columns on the topic here: https://spiritualgrowthnow.com/category/spirit-possession/

Our Direct Your Destiny e-package shows you how to protect yourself spiritually, even against demonic energy. If you’re feeling depressed, angry, fearful, or having a tough time quitting bad habits and addictions, our Spiritual Detox™ MP3 and the new Spiritual Detox™ Script can help.

39 Magic Affirmations for Incredible Sex

Share Button

Have you ever utilized the power of positive affirmations?

Some say you can reach any goal, including improving your sex life, with positive thinking. Though we believe some things are out of reach no matter what you do, positive affirmations can help you with what is within reach.

After years of empirical research, we believe all areas of life, including your sex life, are greatly impacted by your present and past life experiences. Your personal timing and destiny (the same thing as fate) reflects your past and present.

The good news is that although a lot in your life is predestined, you have free will to make the most of your destiny with your thoughts, within the boundaries of your fate.

If you’d like to improve your sex life, you can use affirmations to your advantage.

However, it’s helpful to first realize that thoughts are affected by beliefs, and everyone’s beliefs of sex are tainted by two major influences:

1) Subconscious past life memories of bad experiences with sex
2) Society’s oppressive view that sex, unless within a marriage, is dirty or wrong

Once you acknowledge these influences, they’re easier to overcome or at least work around.

Below are 39 magic affirmations for incredible sex. Pick one and focus on it for a week or more. Then try another. Your subconscious mind will accept them if you repeat them often enough.

Note: subliminal MP3s or affirmations work whether you use “you” or “I.” But, ”you” can be more effective if you are skeptical or don’t yet believe the affirmations, and ”I” can work better if you don’t like following direction. Repetition will help conquer either hurdle.

Note: We are advocates of safe sex, especially if you are single or aren’t 100% certain your partner is always 100% faithful, and recommend this important affirmation: My health is important, thus safe sex is required for me.

1) I am passionate about expanding my sexual knowledge.

2) The immense universe of sexual pleasure is mine to explore.

3) I have the capability to become an incredible lover.

4) It’s a turn-on to bring pleasure to my partner.

5) I choose to focus on sexual pleasure instead of specific acts.

6) I enjoy sexual spontaneity and creativity.

7) I love my body and the ways it brings my partner and me pleasure.

8) I enjoy sex more when I relax and connect with my body.

9) I forget about having to perform and instead focus on what feels good.

10) I’m confident I can bring out the best in my partner and myself.

11) I let go of comparisons and focus on the pleasure in my body and being present.

12) I enjoy the moment and release expectations.

13) I savor the euphoric feeling of letting go.

14) I have more control when I’m present in my body.

15) Exploring a partner’s pleasure gives me great pleasure.

16) I slow down and relish every moment of sexual pleasure.

17) I’m letting go of the past and discovering the ecstasy of being a confident and sexual person.

18) It’s okay to express my feelings.

19) I’m choosing to create a satisfying sex life.

20) I love to communicate with my partner about what turns us on.

21) I enjoy experimenting with what my partner wants.

22) I forget about performing and savor the pleasure of being with my partner.

23) I respect myself as I enjoy every moment of sexual exploration.

24) I open to the sexual flow with my partner.

25) Sexual pleasure is my prerogative and I’m ready to go for it.

26) I now perceive sex as a healing, natural, and caring act.

27) I am responsible for my orgasm.

28) I feel more sexual pleasure when I let go.

29) My vulnerability is part of my power.

30) I breathe, relax and open to pleasure.

31) As I accept myself more, I become more desirable and attractive.

32) My body is the ultimate pleasure temple.

33) I’m feeling the power of my sexual glow.

34) I’m letting go and letting my sexual energy flow.

35) I’m honest and direct and communicate what I need.

36) I’m saying yes to sexual pleasure.

37) Great sex is important for my health and well-being.

38) My sexual desire is healthy and natural.

39) Exploring my sexual pleasure is my right.

Now that you’re aware how your thoughts impact your reality, you can use these affirmations for incredible sex.

Fate vs. Free Will–Tale of Three Spiritual Seekers

Share Button

The fate vs. free will debate involves three main points of view. Either you believe everything is fated, nothing is fated, or somewhere in between.

Below we outline the three general belief systems regarding fate vs. free will represented through three separate spiritual seekers.

1. The first seeker believes there’s nothing she can do to improve her lot in life. She contends that everything in her life is fated so why bother trying to make it better? Unfortunately, she’s also pessimistic and completely fatalistic.

Of morbid disposition, she spends her free time alone watching TV and hoping she has better circumstances in her next life.

Based on some of the feedback we receive, we’re misunderstood as this type of spiritual seeker. In truth, we’re very different from this type.

2. The second seeker is at the opposite end of the spectrum from the first seeker. He believes anything is possible, no matter what, and shuns the notions of personal fate, karma, and immutable personal adversity.

He is a regular inspirational seminar participant and his library is full of all the New Age best-sellers because the authors of those books, like him, mostly reject the idea of predetermination and immutable personal adversity. It’s all sunshine and rainbows; “You can do it!” We love inspiration, but only if it’s rooted in reality.

Unfortunately, this seeker eventually faces the real world when life happens to him. Circumstances beyond his control destroy his lofty ideals, he feels like a failure because he wasn’t able to create whatever he wanted, and he lives the rest of his life depressed, with a victim consciousness.

Those of this group who do manage to achieve great success display a lack of humility by insisting their will alone manifested their dreams, instead of humbly admitting it was also because fate and karma were on their side, this time.

3. The third seeker embraces the philosophy that most of the key circumstances and events in everyone’s life are fated, acknowledges that everyone has their own unique personal adversity and free will to react to it in a positive way, and that there are many things in life that you can’t change no matter how inspired you get.

But he plays the long game. He believes that those dreams he can’t manifest in this life may very well be reachable in future lives, so he keeps working hard and dreaming. He sees this life as one of many, just like the many years in your life. Keep striving, he believes, and he will get there, in time, and at the very least, reap other benefits along the way.

Being of detached mind and accepting what he can’t change, few things faze the third seeker. Ironically, he is more inspired than the second seeker, in part, because he sees this life as an enormous opportunity that many souls on the other side would like and is grateful for every single day.

Considering the philosophies of fate and reincarnation, in which more than half of the world’s population believes, are valid (these theories have yet to be invalidated), which spiritual seeker will get the most out of life? Clearly, the third one, in our view.

You have nothing to lose by embracing the philosophies of free will, predestination, and reincarnation (only the hopelessly idealistic reject the notion that everyone has unique, unavoidable personal adversity), but you do have much to lose if you take the hapless approach of the first two seekers.

Below we list three ways that will help you make the most of your spiritual journey.

1. Realize what you really want by getting to know yourself better, including your subconscious personality, which is outlined wonderfully by handwriting analysis. Subconscious memory exploration through hypnosis mp3s also works wonders. Once you have self-knowledge, including knowing your timing (outlined excellently by comprehensive astrology and numerology), you stop fighting the path most natural for you.

2. Take the essential steps to reach your goals and work on your discipline if necessary. Katharine Hepburn said, “Without discipline, there’s no life at all.” Your health, relationships of all types, work, and of course achieving your goals all require discipline. Meditation is a good practice that helps you increase your discipline. Subliminal MP3s for self-discipline can give you an extra push if you feel you need it.

3. Make time to dream every day, without limits. We call it “dream-castling” and you can be as outrageous as you want–it’s your imagination. While always keeping in mind your realistic everyday and long-term goals, go wild with your imagination about what things would be like in the best-case scenario.

For example, say you want to write a best-selling book. Imagine what it would be like to help people with what you’ve learned (the hard way). Think of what it would feel like to sell millions of books and improve countless lives, and of course enjoy the money and credibility that would come with it.

While you may not be able to achieve every extravagant desire in this life, there’s always your next life, and what matters most is the experience and what you learn along the way.

Is it Possible to Lose Your Psychic Ability?

Share Button

Is it possible to lose your psychic ability? We’ve been meditating and exercising our psychic muscles for years, and we’ve found certain things can strengthen or weaken psychic ability.

Everyone has some degree of psychic ability, whether you want to call it your gut feeling, intuition, or guidance from above. We don’t think it’s possible to ever permanently lose what you were born with (we consider your unique talents abilities developed over lifetimes, not “gifts”–nobody gave them to you).

Many things can interfere with psychic abilities, including the following:

Psychic Myths

One example of a psychic myth is if you’re psychic, you should know everything. In reality, even the best psychics only know what they’re supposed to know. Such misconceptions can cause you to question your psychic ability, thus reduce your power.

Your environment

It’s natural to be skeptical of psychic ability, since most people grow up in an environment that doesn’t encourage it. But excessive discouragement or worse, ridicule by family and friends puts a serious damper on your natural abilities.

Abusing your abilities

Prying into others’ lives and attempting to control people is not your right, and misusing your psychic talent will incur negative karma and block your spiritual progression.

Subconscious fears

These can be from the present life or past lives. For example, if you were put to death by religious authorities in a past life for daring to oppose the Church, or openly applying your metaphysical abilities, you’ll naturally feel fear about these subjects. Past life regression can help you uncover and release the negative emotions.

Drug use, alcohol abuse, and some medications

Even “just pot” can block your intuition and distort your reality. When you choose to be as clear of a channel for the Light as possible, it’s easier to fulfill your potential and make the most of your time on Earth.

Stress and anger

Extreme emotions and stress can definitely get in the way of spiritual guidance from the other side.

Forgetting to have fun

Taking time to play will make you feel happy and relaxed, an optimum state in which to receive psychic insight.

Your personal timing

It’s normal to go through cycles in which your psychic ability seems diminished. These can last for days, weeks, months, or longer, and be identified through comprehensive astrology and numerology.

The energy of other people

We find that we are more psychic with people who have a greater than average psychic ability, and can feel blocked around skeptics or people who are blocked in various ways.

Lost souls and dark entities

This is a big one, more common than most people realize, and often misunderstood. It’s important to clear your energy periodically. Burning sage can help, but for more stubborn energy, try our Spiritual Detox audio and, or the book Spiritual Clearings by Diana Burney. Her book will help you request help from numerous higher level spiritual helpers on the other side to clear spiritual garbage you may have picked up inadvertently (which is easy to do).

Diet

Food intolerances, health problems, chemicals in food and anything you put on your body, too much caffeine, too much junk food, too much sugar (even fruit sugar), and more can make you feel blocked. The more sensitive you are and the more psychic you are, the more these things can interfere.

Try using meditation daily for relaxation. After a period of time, when you feel more centered, ask for help from your guides of the Light, then focus on simple questions to get your confidence back. Having faith that you will know what you need to know, when you need to know it, will help to bridge the gap to helpful insight. In time, and with practice, you should be feeling more psychic.

Spiritual Truth–Thoughts Create Only Some of Your Reality

Share Button

You’ve probably heard of the idea that thoughts create your reality. By reality, what motivational speakers and best-selling New Age authors refer to is the events and circumstances of your life, not just your state of mind.

In the real world, you’ll find it’s not so simple.

While we are strong proponents of positive thinking and we believe you can make the most of your life by changing what you can and how you view that which you can’t change, conscious thought is only part of what influences your life.

It sounds easy, doesn’t it? Just think positive thoughts.

One major problem with it is your subconscious mind. We’ve learned a tremendous amount over the years about how the subconscious mind works through our study of handwriting analysis, hypnosis, subliminal audios, and past life regression. Your subconscious mind will generate thoughts all on its own through the ever present, hidden fears, defenses, and biases. You can detach from those thoughts through meditation, and work with them through hypnosis, subliminal audios, and past life regression, but since the subconscious mind is incredibly powerful, it’s not always possible to rise above them.

The process of thinking positive thoughts also competes with what your heart, intuition, or higher-self actually believes or knows to be true.

For example, if you’re intuiting that there’s no way you’re going to change your boss’s mind, and that’s how it turned out in the end, thinking positive thoughts is futile, unless the positive thoughts are for accepting what you can’t change and working instead on what you can change.

Below we ask seven questions that indicate thinking positive thoughts only creates some of your reality.

1. Did children in the hospital (or their parents) battling terminal diseases create that reality through their thinking?

2. Did Syrian war refugees create their current reality through their thinking?

3. Did rape victims think about rape too much, thus manifest it?

4. Will preaching mind over matter to a paranoid schizophrenic cure her of her mental disease?

5. Did generations of poor people in developing nations think their way into poverty?

6. Did a lack of happy thoughts create a record high murder rate in the summer of 2015 in the city of Chicago?

7. Are plane crashes the result of too many passengers not thinking positive thoughts about arriving safely at their destination?

Our long-term findings show that positive thinking, although important, takes a back seat to the unforeseen and predestined (positive and negative) events and circumstances in your life. No matter what you think, you can work with fate, but you can’t cheat it.

We’re asked sometimes why we focus on fate to the extent that we do. We want you to avoid being unexpectedly disappointed or hurt by the sometimes vicious hand of fate, and we frown on New Age opportunists selling escapist myths packaged as truth.

It may seem depressing at first, but in order to make the most of your life, you need to first do four things:

1. Avoid the “anything is possible, you can do anything” mind-set, beyond the occasional daydreaming or “dream-castling” about your aspirations and goals. Why? Because when you are at least moderately realistic about your goals, you’ll avoid wasting time and setting yourself up for major disappointment, or worse.

2. Accept that there are many things in your life that you can’t change, such as how others think and act. Whatever it is you want to manifest through conscious creation and, or the law of attraction, if your goal depends on the behavior of others, think again. You may be able to persuade a million people to buy your new software app if that type of success is part of your predestination, but if not, it won’t happen (or if it does you’ll eventually experience a reversal of fortune), and there’s nothing spiritual about attempting to control and manipulate others.

3. Get to know yourself. Self-knowledge, including your subconscious strengths, fears, and defenses (which are outlined superbly by handwriting analysis), along with your timing (which is outlined terrifically by comprehensive astrology and numerology), allows you to prepare for life’s inevitable challenges and get the most out of the rewarding phases in your life.

4. Make an effort to react to people and events as positively (or neutrally) as you can whenever possible. Strive to remain detached and compassionate. This will help to stop creating any additional difficult karma for the future.

The notion that thoughts create 100% of your reality is deceptively comforting. Like all delusions, you’ll find that it eventually crashes against the rocks of reality. Children like to believe that Santa can leave whatever they want under the tree, but eventually they grow out of that fantasy.

Alas, you can prepare for life’s challenges and make the most of your fate, and it’s up to you how you view that which you can’t change.

DNA, Twins, and Souls: A Shocking Angle to Heredity vs. Environment Debate

Share Button

As identical twins, we are supposed to be genetic mirrors of each other and conventional scientists attribute our differences in personality to environmental influences.

Contrast that with our controversial viewpoint: we associate our unique personalities and distinct physical differences to the influence of spiritual heritage; everyone, including identical twins, has a unique soul.

Life is much more than mere biological science. Why not consider the influence of spirit too?

We contend that you aren’t just a hunk of meat with a brain and that the unique qualities and spiritual heritage of each soul shine through and influence the physical body and personality.

The mainstream scientific community rejects the notion that people are spiritual beings having a human experience. In their view, it’s either heredity or environment.

Interestingly, more and more geneticists now believe that identical twins aren’t really “identical.” This New York Times article sheds light on the issue:

“From the moment that most identical twins separate, they may well have different epigenetics, a term that refers to the way genes are read and expressed, depending on environment. They are already different products of their environment, the environment being whatever uterine conditions rendered them separate beings in the first place.

“The casual observer is fascinated by how similar identical twins are, but some geneticists are more interested in identifying all the reasons they might differ, sometimes in significant ways. Why might one identical twin be gay or transgender and not the other? Why do identical twins, born with the same DNA, sometimes die of different diseases at different times in their lives? Their environments must be different, but which aspect of their environment is the one that took their biology in a different direction? Smoking, stress, obesity — those are some of the factors that researchers have been able to link to specific changes in the expression of specific genes. They expect, in time, to find hundreds, possibly thousands, of others.” (Bold emphasis ours.)

The researcher links differences among twins, such as sexuality and health, strictly to environment: “Their environments must be different…”

Being identical twins, with different sexual orientations, health issues, and personalities (and the same early life environment), we find their orthodox approach shortsighted.

The concept of DNA genetic coding is linked to personal fate.

Behavioral geneticists assert that DNA genetic coding largely predetermines psychological, emotional, and physical make-up.

We find this fascinating because we believe that key elements of personality are predetermined, yet we also believe that they’re missing what comes before that–the history of the soul before it enters the body, and how that history and karma influence the personality and lifetime.

Unseen, spiritual considerations overshadow conventional science and the mundane just as the vast universe outshines Earth. You have free will within the framework of your fate and karma, but you have far more power of choice in spirit form, before you incarnate.

Being identical twins and having scrutinized twins through empirical research involving past life regression and comprehensive astrology and numerology, we are in a unique position to offer a noteworthy perspective: Each twin expresses the personality traits they are fated to (not by chance), everyone has a unique soul and past life history which greatly influences each lifetime, and the vast majority of everyone’s key life circumstances and events are preordained.

As the New York Times article linked above about the twins who were switched at birth implies, even if you put a person whose karma and destiny does not include wealth into an affluent environment, they won’t get rich just because of the environment.

Our findings show the reverse is true too: someone from a poor background whose karma and destiny includes extraordinary prosperity will achieve it. In short, environment doesn’t trump karma and fate.

8 Things Spirit Guides of the Light Never do

Share Button

What’s the difference between spirit guides of the Light, and other unseen entities? How do you know if your spirit guide is of the Light, or instead a troublemaker or even a dark entity? We’ve had many experiences with both benevolent and malevolent spirits and want you to understand the difference so you can avoid trouble.

Here’s a recent e-mail we received about the subject:

“Hi guys, I’ve recently become aware of the spirit world and I have been talking to my guardian angel through my friend. I recently discovered that my guardian angel is falling for me. So I guess my question is what do I do if I have the same feelings? I know this kind of thing is forbidden, but what really would happen? I don’t know if you can answer any of this but I need to know. Thanks, Christi”

Real guardian angels or guides of the Light do not fall in love with people who are incarnated. Their love for you is a higher form, unconditional, not conditional like romantic love. They are beyond needing to go through the typical love life roller-coaster game in which humans get caught up. Their role is to help you, not own you, as a traditional relationship partner would attempt.

It’s possible your friend misinterpreted messages from spirit or they were your friend’s imagination.

Another possibility is that this is actually a dark entity or lost soul, which is one who has not yet gone to the Light. They are no more helpful spiritually than someone who is incarnated, and can be harmful. For more information and how to send (cooperative) lost souls to the Light, please read Edith Fiore’s The Unquiet Dead.

Besides falling in love with you, here are seven other things spirit guides of the Light never do:

Drain your energy

Helpers of the Light will make you feel peaceful, uplifted, and loved. Entities who are not of the Light will make you feel fearful, drained, negative and can cause nightmares.

Give bad advice

Spirits of the Light will always give you helpful advice when you ask for help, or at the very least, give you signs that point you in the right direction. Keep in mind that sometimes you aren’t supposed to know all the answers to your questions, and you’ll know what you need to know at the right time.

Use foul language

Helpers of the Light might speak your language, but they typically don’t use words that are associated with anger or lower energy.

Judge you

Man-made religion sometimes involves judgment, but that’s not the purpose of spirits of the Light. Instead, they accept you unconditionally and encourage you to make better choices.

Expect something in return

Helpers of the Light never ask for anything as payment for helping you. On the other hand, make deals with the dark side and you’ll be forced to do their bidding for a very long time and find it extremely difficult to break free.

Tell you to harm yourself or encourage suicide

Guides of the Light would never encourage anything that would hurt you or destroy the opportunity to make the most of your lifetime. They want you to succeed with your earthly tests instead of having to return and repeat the same lessons over again.

Encourage drug or alcohol use

Spirits of the Light understand that drug use and alcohol abuse make life more challenging, interfere with your ability to receive divine guidance and remain connected to the Light, and open the door to negative entities.

The best way to get guidance from spirit guides of the Light is through daily meditation. With experience, you’ll be able to tell what is your imagination, what is interference from dark or lost souls, and what is truly divine guidance.

Response to Cynic About the Concept of Personal Fate, karma, and Rape

The views we hold about personal fate and karma, such as at least 75% of the core circumstances and events in everyone’s life are predestined, are controversial.

We regularly receive unsolicited (usually anonymous) feedback like this:

“What about the law of attraction? Don’t we co-create our lives, our realities? I think so. Your information is depressing.

“I agree that suffering is a choice. But you seem too extreme in your point of view. We all have a blueprint and we all have our challenges and blessings, but I don’t believe that EVERYTHING is set in stone. Amy Winehouse or Whitney Houston didn’t have to die so young.

“I’ve seen miracles all my life and faith can create miracles even when it’s hopeless. Would you tell a woman who has been raped that it’s her fate?

That’s a lot to consider, and it’s important to note this person misunderstands our philosophies.

We’ve never said that everything in life is fated. As we say above, and we’ve always said, we believe at least 75% of the key events and conditions of your life are preordained; the most significant events in life, including things that cause you the most stress or joy, are things your soul (not personality) agreed to endure or enjoy before incarnating.

Using the law of attraction as a centerpiece of spiritual philosophy, while denying all other spiritual laws and simultaneously maintaining a victim consciousness, and refusing to take responsibility for everything in your life you have “co-created,” is short-sighted. Conscious (after you’ve incarnated) co-creation and the law of attraction are only two facets of the complex spiritual experience.

As for the things we say being “depressing,” depression also follows a massive sugar high. The way to avoid that sinking, powerless feeling is to avoid sugar. Likewise, the way to avoid being depressed by the reality of life is to empower yourself by doing what you can to change what you don’t like, and accepting what you can’t change.

To be clear, as we’ve always said, we simply relay our objective findings. For example, when we see unique patterns (consisting of dozens of factors) in someone’s personal comprehensive astrology and numerology charts symbolizing financial challenges during a certain period, time and time again, without fail, the subject endures financial challenges.

No amount of conscious creating or practicing the law of attraction will override that. Why? Because it’s part of that person’s fate. They have free will to react to it (and prepare, thanks to the warning from us), but not change it. Rewards are fated too, by the way.

Would you prefer we conceal our findings and instead promise only sunshine and rainbows? That would be going against our convictions and doing you a disservice. We refuse to sell out and gloss over important spiritual concepts just to attract more followers.

Only wanting the good parts of life to be destined is a bit like wanting good health from only eating sweets. On the other hand, when you consider the spiritual purpose and meaning behind negative experiences, they’re easier to deal with.

As for whether or not it’s predestined for some people to die young, consider this: If a person has strong signs of addiction and over-doing it with drugs and alcohol in their comprehensive charts, endures self-abuse for years and shows no signs of letting up, we’d like to think they have free will to pull themselves out of it, but if they don’t stop (and time and time again, they don’t), we call it predetermination.

Taking into account the tragic loss and other related indications at that time in the comprehensive charts of those close to the person who died, it seems to us that it was fate instead of “probability” or “possibility.”

By the way, although longevity (approximate duration of life) can be determined with comprehensive astrology and numerology, it’s a morbid topic and we don’t make a habit of delving into it.

The writer also mentions miracles. As we’ve said before, we believe miracles are fate disguised.

Regarding men and women who are raped (according to a 12-9-2014 theweek.com article, if you include the prison population, men are raped more often than women in the U.S.), or those who endure other horrors, we don’t believe anyone deserves it. Also, we don’t believe in a vengeful higher power that punishes you, but that your soul (again, not your personality) agrees to all your key earthly experiences before birth.

The idea that at least 75% of your main life events and circumstances are fated isn’t the subject of today’s spiritual best-sellers because people demand inspiration, escapism, and instant gratification.

A smaller percentage of people strive to view life as spiritual beings having an earthly experience, and understand that the explanations for life’s atrocities are beyond the if-I-can’t-touch-it-it-doesn’t-exist thinking that mundane, rational thought offers.

Throughout the phases of your life, what you can’t and can change, is as depressing or heartening and empowering as you decide to view it.

Spirituality–The Enlightenment Secret

The ultimate goal of many spiritual seekers is to find enlightenment, which is another way to say awakening to spiritual awareness or illumination. A tall order, but with discipline it’s possible to make serious progress on your spiritual path.

I think a spiritual journey is not so much a journey of discovery. It’s a journey of recovery. It’s a journey of uncovering your own inner nature. It’s already there.”
Billy Corgan

We’ve found those words of wisdom to be true. As teens in 1981, we recall listening to the song “Spirits in the Material World” by The Police on their album Ghost in the Machine. To us, it meant everyone is a spiritual being having a human experience.

As you mature and your spiritual heritage (soul) emerges, you begin to recover the wisdom you were aware of on the other side, but temporarily forgot. The recovery process would be helped along if every parent encouraged their young children to explore any memories of the other side or past lives (which many children recall up to about age seven), but the memories are usually dismissed as a child’s imagination. Unfortunately, the veil of forgetfulness is further fostered by society; rarely do friends, family, teachers, and neighbors encourage you to go within and rediscover your true essence underneath a lifetime of programming.

We’ve been interested in non-religious spirituality for as long as we can remember. The dead-ends we encountered in our younger years, exploring various spiritual paths, disciplines, and methodologies, piled up like leaves in autumn, but the journey was worth it. Most of the fruitless avenues were heavy on hope and inspiration, and light on reason, or were too superficial to be taken seriously.

Over the course of more than 30 years we’ve managed to identify several reliable spiritual disciplines. Our long-term findings involving meditation, past life regression, psychic perception and comprehensive astrology and numerology lead us to this conclusion: a permanent state of enlightenment, a blissful one where you are completely free of all fears, defenses, and biases doesn’t exist. The secret to enlightenment is that you must work at peeling away the layers of your inner nature (such as through meditation) to make progress and you probably wouldn’t still be incarnated if you didn’t have more to discover.

The reason you can’t completely free yourself from your fears, defenses, and biases is because you can’t control your subconscious mind. It will think what it wants, and you’re powerless over it. However, you can detach from it through meditation, and work with it with tools such as hypnosis and subliminal audios.

Be wary of those who say they never get irritated, upset, angry or experience other “negative” human emotions. It’s not spiritual or normal to project a phony “I’m always blissful and peaceful” facade. Stay clear when that repressed beach ball of emotions finally bursts through the water’s surface while they are under pressure or stress.

Spiritual seekers eventually realize that you can encounter more wisdom in your own backyard than you do in some exotic location on the other side of the planet.

As Harry Nilsson belted out in 1971 on Jump Into the Fire, “You can climb a mountain, you can swim the sea, you can jump into the fire, but you’ll never be free.” We’re not sure exactly what he meant, but those words remind us that true freedom, and spiritual satisfaction, are found within, not elsewhere.

“Music is mediator between spiritual and sensual life.” Ludwig van Beethoven

The most illuminated people you’ll ever meet frequently don’t look like the “spiritual” type. A construction worker, military colonel, waitress, and nurse, for example, may be far more spiritually adept than a priest or a beads, crystals, and caftan wearing author of the spiritual best-seller.

On your journey of enlightenment, wisdom comes from within, and music, prayer, quiet reflection, walks in nature, and regular meditation are all effective ways to remember it.
