Timing is important. If you pay attention to personal and universal cycles, you can use it to your advantage and even get a major edge.
Astrology and numerology are tools that can give you a great deal of insight about timing. But, like learning a foreign language, they take many years to master, beyond the superficial versions like horoscopes.
However, there is one aspect of astrology you can start using today that will help you tremendously in regards to timing, especially with new ideas, purchases, new people, and making plans. It’s called Moon Void of Course (VOC).
Most people don’t know about Moon VOC and even many astrologers overlook it. We’ve tracked it since 1993 and can tell you, without a doubt, it’s worth following.
Moon VOC occurs every few days and can last from five minutes to two days.
The Moon is related, in part, to your intuition and instincts. VOC is like driving through a tunnel where your antenna can’t pick up the radio signals. Knowing when the Moon is VOC will help you know when your intuition might be off, and thus make better choices.
Please note: It’s usually not a good idea to rely on only one or a few astrological or numerological considerations; a comprehensive approach using patterns of considerations is imperative for consistent levels of accuracy in delineation and prediction.
However, since the VOC is an important affliction, you will benefit even if it’s the only astrological information you follow, as long as you know there are many other important astrological and numerological indicators needed to get the full picture.
The following are some of our observations about Moon VOC over the last 27 years:
Things initiated during a VOC are rarely finished or take much longer than expected to complete.
New acquaintances made during a VOC are short-lived or problematic.
New purchases during a VOC will break down, need to be returned, or not be used.
Anything requiring a lot of concentration will be more challenging during a VOC.
New ideas brainstormed during a VOC won’t manifest or will backfire.
Important plans made during a VOC won’t happen or will happen differently than expected.
Too much sun, food, booze, or spending too much money is typical during a VOC.
Trying a new restaurant or ordering something you usually don’t when out to eat during a VOC often ends with regret.
You probably won’t be happy with the result when you decide to get your hair cut in a different style or buy new clothing during a VOC.
Routine cleaning, work, or purchases (like what you normally purchase at the grocery store) seem to be fine during a VOC.
It’s a great time to break bad habits, exercise, relax, meditate and get centered.
Fearful thoughts or dreams during a VOC often turn out to be baseless.
Testing VOC
One way to perceive VOC more clearly and test the accuracy of our claims is to observe people and their actions during a VOC. Don’t mention it to them, notice their decisions, purchases, plans, people they meet, or things they start during a VOC, then notice the end result.
This is an example of the objective empirical research with which we’ve been successful.
We still sometimes test VOC. An example is when we meet someone new during a VOC, we allow things to unfold naturally and see what happens while ignoring the VOC. But ultimately, we find VOC situations yield VOC results, even when we didn’t know it was a VOC.
The VOC doesn’t affect you or situations directly, but it does represent what is destined.
People born during a VOC may not be as symbolically affected or may be affected differently. Follow VOC times and perceive for yourself.
Can you work around a VOC?
If you decide during a non VOC time to buy a new vacuum, for example, then notice the day and time you had planned to buy it is a VOC, can you avoid a bad purchase if you change the time? Try it and see, but you might find that the vacuum won’t be in stock, malfunctions, or something else will lead you to believe that vacuum purchase wasn’t a good idea.

Many astrological calendars and software note easy to follow VOC times, and you can also find many listings online.

Numerology: Stunning Peak Into The Number 22
Thousands of years ago, through empirical observation and pattern recognition, adepts discovered select numbers such as 7, 9, 11, 22, and others symbolically possess a stronger link to other dimensions (i.e., the other side), thus are more mystical than other numbers. The realization that numbers symbolize personality and timing trends gave rise to the science of number mysticism.
Master Numbers, including 11, 22, 33, 44, 55, 66, 77, and 99, can be both mystical and mundane, typically relating to extraordinary circumstances.
Our findings show that, through comprehensive charting including hundreds of factors, everyone has at least some Master Numbers. Some people have a much higher than average amount of Master Numbers and are recognized as unusual in some way, positive or negative, relative to the average person.
Since this article is about introductory level numerology, it’s important to understand the concept of fadic addition: the year 1993, for example, yields the number 22 as follows: 1+9+9+3=22. The year 2020 yields 4 (2+0+2+0=4), but the number 2020 is similar enough to Master Number 22 to be considered a variation of it (though less potent), due to the zeros naturally being like Master Numbers. Just as 20 is a more potent vibration than 2 due to the zero, 2020 is a more potent vibration than 4.
Another thing to keep in mind is aside from the day of birth, such as the 22nd of January, the patterns in comprehensive numerology are comprised of every possible number and combination of numbers stemming from the full date, time, and location of birth.
For example, before getting into comprehensive charting, the date of birth January 22, 1993 includes, in this order, 1 (January, the first month), 22, and 22 (the year 1993). Or, to make it more simple, using the root numbers, 1, 4, and 4. From those three numbers, you can extract many factors to get an overview analysis, thus gain remarkable insight about the subject: 1+22=23, 22+22=44, 23+44=67, 1+22+22=45, 1-4=3, 4-4=0, and so on.
If the aforementioned information confuses you, don’t worry, that’s normal. Just like the novices of the mystery schools of antiquity, through selective guidance, trial and error, and relying on discipline and intuition, you eventually learn how to delineate personality and timing. Just as learning a foreign language takes time, it takes years to be able to consistently, successfully apply the languages of fate and personality, comprehensive astrology and numerology.
Focusing exclusively on the day of birth and full date total is a good start, since the day of birth tends to represent obvious talent, as does the full date total. Using the above example, January 22, 1993, those two indicators are 22 (22ndof January) and 9 (1+22+1993=2016=2+0+1+6=9). You can also utilize three easy to figure numerology predictive indicators, the Universal Year, Personal Year, and Nine-year Cycle.
Note: unless you are one of those rare, consistently psychic individuals (frequently they have a lot of 22, 11, 9, and, or 7 energy) who only need a handful of indicators to regularly identify character and timing, the best way to reliably get accurate results is through pattern recognition with comprehensive numerology and astrology.
Below we outline typical traits and concepts associated with the number 22.
- Of all the single and double digit numbers, 22 has a distinct advantage in relation to being both grounded and connected to the higher planes. It can take care of mundane matters, yet also dream big and implement those plans like nobody else. If you had to choose one number to associate with the world’s largest skyscraper, the world’s largest bridge, and the largest superhighway, it would be 22. 22 is thinking big, and doing big. It’s also the strongest financial and material vibration. Great leaders, inventors, problem solvers, captains of industry, and influencers throughout history often had a lot of the number 22.
- Frequently when we encounter an individual possessing a generous amount of the number 22, it’s a treat because they (similar with those who have a lot of 11) often relay messages from the other side, sometimes not even realizing they are doing it. They can see things that others can’t and have an unusual awareness. For example, you ask the person how they could possibly know specific details about one of your family members after only having known you for five minutes and they respond, “It’s like how you would remember something from years ago. The information just comes to me.” In other words, they psychically reach over to the other side and glean secret information as easily as if they were doing an Internet search.
- With great talent, sometimes come challenges; the number 22 can symbolize brilliance, but commonly with at least some madness (sometimes mildly amusing, sometimes full blown insanity). Although it’s important to note that what society sometimes considers a mental disorder (e.g., psychic ability), may be better described as a misunderstood talent. Sympathy to them because it’s not easy being both a mundane creature and someone who is accessing the other side at the same time, sort of like simultaneously being awake and dreaming.
- Those with a lot of the number 22 energy inspire others and people can feel their magnetism and charisma. Great personal power, unusual intelligence, and leadership are common, as are unusual approaches to problem solving.
- Unconventional and quirky, yet wildly successful are commonly traits of the number 22. Cindy Lauper is a classic example of someone having heavy 22 energy, including the day of birth (6-22-1953). Her 1983 hit, “Time After Time” is considered by many to be timeless, another common trait of the number 22.
- The inferiority they sometimes feel stems from having tremendous talent and not knowing how to apply it. Don’t let the over-blown ego fool you. Those with heavy 22 actually can back up their bluster with astonishing results.
- The full potential of the 22 is difficult to manifest, and sometimes the subject is seen as a do-nothing or slacker until later in life; upon maturity the subject is finally able to capitalize on the power of the 22. When the patterns in the charts support it, the person will achieve great things.
- On the dark side, 22 can symbolize powerful, international criminals. Master villains (in private enterprise or government), those involved in big schemes, frequently have a lot of the number 22. These are the types who usually pull the strings behind the scenes and avoid getting their hands dirty. They take a local strategy and make it international and are always ten steps ahead of everyone else.

Edgar Cayce Predictions, Past and Future
Edgar Cayce (1877 – 1945) also referred to as the “sleeping prophet” and the “father of holistic medicine,” was the most documented psychic of the 20th century. He gave thousands of readings for over 40 years, often correctly diagnosing illnesses and predicting future events.
Hundreds of books have been written on the subjects of Cayce’s work, including developing your intuition, how to discover your mission in life, taking responsibility for your health, and ancient mysteries. Cayce’s wisdom is even more incredible when you consider the spiritual topics he spoke of didn’t become popular until decades later.
“A soulmate is an ongoing connection with another individual that the soul picks up again in various times and places over lifetimes. We are attracted to another person at a soul level not because that person is our unique complement, but because by being with that individual, we are somehow provided with an impetus to become whole ourselves.” ― Edgar Cayce
Cayce said he had two sources for his insight. The subconscious mind of the person he was reading for was the first, and the Akashic Records the second. He provided information in each reading that was “most helpful and hopeful.”
The Akashic Records or “The Book of Life” or “God’s Book of Remembrance,” is a storehouse of all information for every person who has ever lived on earth. They contain all thoughts, actions, feelings, words, and intent. He referred to the records as the following:
“Upon time and space is written the thoughts, the deeds, the activities of an entity – as in relationships to its environs, its hereditary influence; as directed – or judgment drawn by or according to what the entity’s ideal is. Hence, as it has been oft called, the record is God’s book of remembrance; and each entity, each soul – as the activities of a single day of an entity in the material world – either makes same good or bad or indifferent, depending upon the entity’s application of self.” — Edgar Cayce Reading 1650-1
Seven Edgar Cayce prophecies that came true include The Stock Market Crash of 1929, World War ll, pole shift, convergence of communications companies, the life of the Essenes, blood used as a diagnostic tool, and the La Niña and El Niño effect.
Seven Edgar Cayce prophecies yet to come true include extended human lifespan, self-fueling perpetual-motion machines, a new “root race” evolving, halls of records from Atlantis being discovered, great things including religious freedom for China and its people (but “it is far off as man counts time”), and a second coming.
According to Edgar Cayce, the history of humankind is about ten million years old. He claimed Atlantis was an advanced civilization located from the Gulf of Mexico to Gibraltar. 12,000 years ago, before the end of the last Ice Age, the ocean levels were at least 300 feet lower than now. He said Bimini is one of the mountaintops of ancient Atlantis, and a huge “island” was there rather than the current chains of islands.
Cayce said Atlantis was destroyed over a period of thousands of years through destructive misuse of advanced technology, and the final destruction was about 10,000 B.C.. Atlanteans fled to other parts of the world such as ancient Egypt and the Yucatan Peninsula and brought with them their technological advancements, beliefs, and recorded history.
“Birth in the physical is death in the spiritual. Death in the physical is birth in the spiritual.” ― Edgar Cayce, Reincarnation & Karma
What did Edgar Cayce say about earth changes? We remember visiting a psychic book store in Sedona, AZ in 1997 and seeing a large map of predicted earth changes (like this one). The USA was totally transformed, with ocean where much of the western portion once was. This blog post points out that his mentions of earth changes might be symbolic and more spiritual than physical.
However, it’s also possible that there will be major earth changes (even if they don’t happen for centuries), but they will be gradual and Edgar Cayce was just off about the timing, which is common with psychics. Also, no psychic, no matter how talented, is correct 100% of the time, just as professionals in other fields aren’t.
“There will be a shifting of the poles. There will be upheavals in the Arctic and the Antarctic that will make for the eruption of volcanos in the Torrid areas… The upper portion of Europe will be changed in the blink of an eye. The earth will be broken up in the western portion of America. The greater portion of Japan must go into the sea.” ― Edgar Cayce
Ending on a lighter note, here are some words of wisdom from Edgar Cayce about humor: “The entity should attempt, – seriously, prayerfully, spiritually, – to see even that as might be called the ridiculous side of every question, – the humor in same. Remember that a good laugh, an arousing even to what might in some be called hilariousness, is good for the body, physically, mentally, and gives the opportunity for greater mental and spiritual awakening. ― Edgar Cayce

Predestination and Crime Q and A
Question:
“Isn’t there always deliberation involved with behavior? Wouldn’t you say that an individual who deliberates is free to commit a crime or not, which would indicate most crimes even fraud or murder aren’t fated?”
Answer:
We would like to believe that life’s unpleasantness is avoidable, that bad behavior can be prevented, but our long-term findings tell us otherwise. Unique personal adversity, including myriad unavoidable life events and circumstances appear to be part of the predetermined human experience.
Impulse Control
Self-control allows you to manage emotions and personal conduct toward goal-achievement relating to all areas of life.
Impulse-control disorder is classified as a psychiatric disorder involving the failure to control one’s actions. Examples include regularly blurting out inappropriate comments in a social setting, the inability to stop eating or drinking, white collar crime involving the compulsion to habitually trade on insider information, frequent physical theft, or uncontrollably committing acts of violence.
A psychopath (zero remorse) with lack of impulse control or even someone with sociopathic tendencies (may be remorseful, but does it anyway) makes matters much worse. Many killers don’t deliberate, or even have time to deliberate if their life is on the line. It’s kill or be killed.
Lack of Impulse Control Can be Inherited
According to a research article titled “Genetics of Impulsive Behavior,” there is no single gene that can be identified as an “impulsivity gene,” but the lack of impulse control can be inherited: “As described, impulsivity is a heritable, disease-associated trait, useful as an endophenotype for gene discovery. Impulsivity is, however, not a unitary construct and, as discussed, multiple laboratory behavioural tasks and self-reported measures are used to assess different aspects of impulsivity. On the other hand, it is also true that there is no one gene that will be identified as an ‘impulsivity gene’…”
Impulse Control and Dishonesty
A Wall Street trader convicted of extensive insider trading and fraud spends two years regularly visiting a psychotherapist, yet still fails to understand what motivated him to lie and cheat. You could say an intensely competitive and merciless system in which he worked encouraged him to act illegally. But if he were to fully take responsibility for his actions, he would admit it’s possible he has an innate tendency to act dishonestly, considering his behavior from an early age as well as his long, corrupt career as a Wall Street “bankster.”
What about parents who teach their kids to take responsibility for their actions? Does that prevent bad behavior? Our findings tell us that even if the subject had loving parents who taught him well, if his astrology and numerology patterns include strong negatives, the parents’ influence won’t stop it; he still has the likelihood of being a bad egg.
We aren’t contending that all crooks are born that way because environment plays a role too. However, recognizing patterns in the natal astrology and numerology charts firmly representing duplicity, along with handwriting that includes the same (noting his personality at the time of writing), as well as lack of impulse control, suggest inherent problems.
Predestined Incarceration
Based on pattern recognition involving comprehensive astrology and numerology, criminal activity and incarceration appear to be fated at least some of the time. From a spiritual standpoint (considering reincarnation) we’ve noticed personal natal patterns that suggest select individuals have had past incarnations including long stretches of incarceration, such as a prisoner of war, or a jailed criminal. It’s reasonable to think that incarceration leaves an indelible mark on the subconscious that may carry over into future lives: avoid impulsive, reckless action or you’ll be put in a cage. It’s possible that an individual’s higher-self wanted the prison time to work on impulse control or other personality traits–spiritual growth tends to blossom through solitude and hardship.
Astrology and Numerology Patterns and Family Dynamics
Our findings show that whenever significant, life-changing events (rewarding or challenging) occur in someone’s life, they are reflected in his or her astrology and numerology patterns, as well as in those of his or her loved ones, which supports the idea of predetermination. Something had to happen for that individual and his loved ones to endure, or enjoy, the ensuing life circumstances.
For example, the white-collar criminal’s family enjoyed two decades of the high life, but then it all came crashing down. Both the good life and later destitution are reflected in the four individuals’ natal and timing patterns (husband, wife, and two daughters). Even before the aftermath the impoverished existence could have been foretold because all four family members have patterns in the charts that symbolize dramatic changes, and lack support for enduring wealth. Extremes are easy to identify, like with the above, but sometimes the patterns aren’t as explicit.
A lot more in life appears to be fated than most people realize, but keep in mind that you have free will to attempt to mitigate life’s challenges, as well as optimize life’s rewards.

Myths About Mediums
Dr. Julie Beischel is a scientist who has scientifically researched mediumship and life after death for over 15 years. Her goal with Windbridge Research Center is to ease suffering around dying, death, and what comes next. They do rigorous scientific research and share it with general public practitioners to spread the word.
This Skeptiko video interview with Dr. Beischel explains her mission with the research and discusses some myths about mediums.
She didn’t know much about mediums until she experienced a reading with one after her mother died and realized how accurate and helpful they can be.
She also noticed there is a large percentage of people who don’t know anything about the subject of mediums, yet dismiss them as frauds.
Dr. Beischel decided to use her scientific background and apply the scientific method to help others understand the medium process, and show more people how it can ease the pain of losing a loved one.
More Common Than You Think
She said after death communication is very common, but people are used to hearing it’s weird, so they may not recognize when a loved one is trying to contact and comfort them. Understanding it when it happens can alleviate suffering and make the person more open to it next time.
“As a society we move forward with science and data,” Dr. Beischel said, and this is part of her goal with applying the scientific method to mediums. The data helps people, including doctors and nurses, and especially skeptics, realize mediumship is real.
In the past, most medical professionals would say someone was crazy for saying they encountered deceased loved ones. It still happens today, and some medical professionals even classify them as schizophrenic and give them medication. She hopes to help stop this.
Psychic and Medium Overlap
She found in her research that during psychic readings for the living, it’s common for psychics to have communication (whether they realize it or not) with random deceased people in the area not associated with the psychic or “sitter.” In other words, the lines between a psychic and medium overlap and are much blurrier than previously thought.
Mediumship Misconceptions
Our consciousness is actually more than just in our body. You only think “you” are in your body because you receive constant feedback that you are. Once you die you’re still “you,” just not in your body. Dr. Beischel said that mediumship is like a radio; the consciousness and communication from another person is not from it, but going through the medium.
She said that more people know what mediums are now because of TV shows about the subject, but they don’t always show the reality of the process.
For example, 30% of the mediums she surveyed don’t charge for readings.
Not all mediums are clairvoyant (seeing); some are clairaudient (hearing), some are clairsentient (feeling), some are claircognizant (knowing), and many are all of these at times.
Some mediums don’t understand how they receive insight.
Many mediums see themselves as oddballs and don’t feel like they can be open about their talent.
Other Findings
Dr. Beischel said many mediums have a higher rate of health problems, such as autoimmune disease. At first they wondered if mediumship can cause disease. Her organization drew blood before, during and after medium readings in a controlled study and did over 30 tests on the blood. They didn’t find any changes, which showed the medium readings were likely not causing the health problems.
Then they surveyed over 200 mediums in a childhood abuse survey and they scored off the charts. She said others have made the correlation between childhood abuse and psychic abilities. It might be because they had to learn to sense danger, or disassociate themselves from abuse when it happened, which made them more aware of or in touch with the Other Side. In short, she found mediumship doesn’t cause disease, but trauma can stimulate mediumship and disease.
Side note: Scott can determine with his comprehensive astrology and numerology work who might be more likely to be a natural channel or medium. For example, strong recurring patterns including the numbers 7, 11, and 22, in part, tend to symbolize innate psychic ability.
The Future
The host asked Dr. Beischel if she sees the future of technology helping with mediumship. She said consciousness is funneled through the brain. Meditation helps one be more psychic and act as a medium for consciousness. Technology may eventually help us with that state of mind so we can more easily be psychic, a medium, and have access to other realms.

Fate and Predetermination Q and A
The reason the topics of universal order vs. randomness, and personal fate vs. complete free will are so fascinating is because they deal with the meaning of life itself.
Predicting future trends is an ancient, and now largely underground tradition since the Age of Reason; seers, psychics, number mystics, and astrologers such as Ptolemy, Vettius Valens, Abu Ali Al-Khayyat, Ibn Ezra, and others guided emperors, kings, queens, religious leaders, military generals, warlords, and others, and continue the practice to this day.
We received this inquiry recently on the topic:
“Is it really possible to know ahead of time when an event in your life is going to happen? Isn’t this ‘cheating’ in a sense? Because then you can prepare ahead of time for the event to either make sure it happens or be better equipped to handle it if it’s a negative event. Wouldn’t you be missing the life lesson involved if you know if and when it’s going to happen?”
The apprehension involving personal fate is understandable, but our long-term findings may give you some peace of mind: you have free will to react in a positive way to whatever is destined in your life, and besides the major challenging stuff, the key rewards in your life are also predetermined. Additionally, your predetermined framework allows you to get what your heart desires at least some of the time.
“To all those broken or hopeless, I have learned this: Be grateful for every single person who was part of your story. The ones that hurt you. The ones that helped you. The ones that came, and the ones that left. They all taught you. Don’t think for a moment that any of it was random. There are no oversights with God. Only perfectly crafted chapters in each unique journey.” Yasmin Mogahed
How To Gain An Educated Viewpoint On Personal Fate
One sure-fire way to gain an educated viewpoint on the topic of fate vs. free will is to do the following: observe the key events and circumstances in the lives of many individuals while simultaneously identifying the corresponding patterns in the comprehensive astrology and numerology charts. Witness daily the constant repetition of patterns directly corresponding to life happenings for more than twenty years and you’re assured to consider the theory of personal fate as an integral part of the human experience.
“Whosoever may be adapted to any particular event or pursuit, will assuredly have the (collective energy of various heavenly bodies) indicative thereof very potent in his nativity.” Claudius Ptolemy, 2nd century AD astrologer
As the astrologer and, or numerologist improves his or her ability to recognize patterns in the charts, the illusion of chance involving key life circumstances disappears.
“Random chance was not a sufficient explanation of the Universe — in fact, random chance was not sufficient to explain random chance.” Robert A. Heinlein
Why Fate Exists
Our long-term findings lead us to conclude, thus far, that the philosophy of challenging and rewarding unchangeable destined events in everyone’s life is based on the concept that there is a vastly bigger purpose to life than, what is today considered as, success in love life, family, career, and finances. Briefly, it has to do with understanding and growth on a soul level. Your soul (not your current personality) chooses to live many lifetimes to carry out specific undertakings.
Specific Events vs. General Inclination
We readily identify the general inclination of personal fate (e.g., love life, friends, money, career success, etc.), yet identifying the exact future date of specific events is much more challenging. We sometimes get the date of a specific event correct, but it’s very rare for a psychic or astrologer to consistently do this on a regular basis. Much easier is, for example, determining optimum time frames for planned launches, mergers, acquisitions, speculation, and taking on an adversary. Extremes (e.g. a very rough personal six month period that would equate to disaster for risky speculation) are easy to identify in the charts. It’s also easy for us to ascertain compatibility, and optimum personal timing to make the most of your life in all areas, within the realm of your personal fate. So you avoid wasting time trying to plant your garden in winter, as the saying goes.
Just as you know when it’s storm season in the Caribbean and there is potential for more severe storms than in the rest of the year, you can forecast the periods of time, for example, when your love life is optimum (and when it isn’t).
How Much In Life Is Fated
Our long-term findings show that at least 75% of the main circumstances and events in your life are predestined.
Consider some of the things in your life that you have zero control over, i.e., that are fated: the actions of others—what they say, think, or do; criticism and rejection from others; illness, disease, physical limitations (though it’s possible to reduce susceptibility through good health practices); your ingrained subconscious fears and defenses–though you can modify and learn to live with many unconscious fears (e.g., fear of expression, fear of heights, et al.), most can’t be completely erased; the level of unique, inborn harmony or disharmony between you and another person; how and when your integrity, honesty, faith, and convictions are tested; the family you are born into; your early life environment; the undercurrent of your personal karma that shapes much of your life; natural disasters; God’s laughter when you announce your plans for the future.
On the bright side, consider some of what you can control: how you respond to things in your life that you can’t control, considering you don’t lack impulse control (which is largely discerned through handwriting analysis); the level of inspiration you generate and focus you apply (to the limits of your personal energy) to make the most of your personal fate; what you think and say (aside from subconscious impressions, which greatly influence your thinking); your overall attitude; who you associate with; what you eat; how you spend your leisure time; how much money you spend and save; how much unconditional love and sympathy you express, which can also greatly impact your life, within the realm of your personal predetermination.
“While in theory randomness is an intrinsic property, in practice, randomness is incomplete information.” Nassim Nicholas Taleb
Cheating
We’ve found that some things in life, both difficulties and rewards, you can’t know ahead of time, no matter how insightful you are. It’s sort of like a built-in defense designed by your higher-self to make sure the circumstance or events can’t be avoided. Someone, such as a psychic, may know, but is predestined to never relay the information to you.
You won’t miss the key life lessons you’re supposed to endure (or enjoy), no matter what. Those important life episodes are destined and then you have free will to react and seize opportunities.
It isn’t “cheating” to know the general inclination of future challenging fate, or even the specific circumstance, just as sailors and investors aren’t cheating by knowing weather and economic forecasts. You aren’t cheating by being forewarned of a life lesson so you can try to mitigate difficulties, just as you aren’t cheating by knowing it’s going to be freezing cold at your travel destination and dressing appropriately.
Would you rather have the discernible, future negative circumstances in your life creep up on you and surprise you, or would you like to be prepared in advance, and better equipped to handle them? Also, wouldn’t you like to be able to optimize your rewards in life by being tipped off in advance?
“Events may appear to us to be random, but this could be attributed to human ignorance about the details of the processes involved.” Brain S. Everitt
To believe in personal fate isn’t dangerous or fatalistic. It’s realistic, practical, a sign of humility, and you can still be an optimist. Discerning predetermination allows you to brace for life’s challenges and capitalize on the good parts, making the most of your life.
“When it is all finished, you will discover it was never random.” Unknown

Are Near Death Experiences Real or Imagination?
Dr. Raymond Moody introduced the concept of NDE, or Near Death Experience, in 1975 to millions with his best-selling book Life After Life.
Well before and since Dr. Moody’s book, countless people from all over the world have reported having a NDE.
Most NDE accounts have similar themes, such as feeling completely detached from the physical body and any pain, traveling through a tunnel to “the Light,” feeling deep love and compassion, experiencing an incredibly vivid and beautiful world where there is no fear, meeting loved ones who had previously died, encountering wise guides, no organized religion (what they experience doesn’t always match their beliefs), and life reviews including experiencing key moments but from the other person’s perspective.
Adding to the evidence is some NDE experiencers giving detailed accounts of things that happened when they were “dead” that they couldn’t have possibly known, such as conversations by medical staff inside or outside the room, or events with loved ones miles away.
Skeptics say NDEs are not really spiritual experiences, but just biological or even delusion. They say they can be explained away by brain states that happen from stress, dying, and drugs, or mental illness.
Psychiatrist Bruce Greyson disagrees. In a panel discussion of psychiatry and NDEs by www.IANDS.org, he gives the main differences between mental illness and NDEs. Below are his words from the slides of his presentation.
Comparison of Near-Death Experiences and Psychotic Experiences
Mental illness includes dysfunction, distress, paranoia and a change with meds.
NDE includes growth, meaning, altruism, and no change with meds.
Both include visions, odd beliefs, and changed roles.
NDE usually occurs during life-threatening or otherwise extreme situations. The other doesn’t.
NDE is usually rare and of short duration. The other isn’t.
NDE usually occurs in absence of a mental disorder, intoxication, or metabolic derangement. The other doesn’t.
NDEs usually follow prior normal functioning. The other doesn’t.
NDEs are specific and detailed. The other isn’t.
NDEs are patterned, structured, and non-random organized. The other isn’t.
NDEs are consistent across individuals and cultures. The other isn’t.
NDEs may include verifiable perceptions, such as out-of-body perceptions. The other doesn’t.
NDEs are compatible with religious or spiritual tradition. The other isn’t.
NDEs are unrelated to events in the physical environment. The other isn’t.
NDE is recalled as real or hyper-real. The other isn’t.
NDE memory persists over time without fading. The other doesn’t.
NDE memory remains vivid over time. The other doesn’t.
NDE memory retains original detail over time. The other doesn’t.
NDE has insight into meaning of the experience. The other doesn’t.
NDE distress, if any at all, lasts only until experience is integrated. The other doesn’t.
NDE has a positive exploratory attitude toward the experience. The other doesn’t.
NDE has the desire to share with other experiencers. The other doesn’t.
NDE has the absence of symptoms of mental illness. The other doesn’t.
NDE has the absence of thoughts of harming self or others. The other doesn’t.
NDE has the ability to maintain jobs and relationships. The other doesn’t.
NDE has the absence of legal difficulties. The other doesn’t.
NDE has increased sensitivities (e.g., to electromagnetic fields). The other doesn’t.
NDE has positive outcomes over time; life becomes more meaningful, increased joy, decreased fear, expunged fear of death, feelings of increased connectedness to others, and less self-absorbed and more altruistic. The other doesn’t.
NDE is unaffected by antipsychotic medication.
You can have both at the same time, or one and then the other.
One of the psychiatrists in the video apologized for their colleagues in the field who didn’t believe and, or downplayed their patients’ NDEs.
The following videos were recommended for more information about NDEs: “The Near Death Experience: What Medical Professionals Need to Know” by Roberta Moore; “Life After Life” by Peter Shockey, based on Dr. Raymond Moody’s book “Life After Life”; “Afterlife” by Sir Paul Perry.

Which Belief Helps More, Reincarnation or Religion?
According to a study, most Americans believe it’s important to follow the Ten Commandments.
The study found “US Adults overall are more likely to say every commandment is ‘an important principle to live by’ rather than an unimportant principle. The top Commandments that are still accepted as important in America today: don’t murder (91%), don’t steal (90%), don’t bear false witness (88%), don’t commit adultery (81%), honor father and mother (77%), and do not covet another person’s possessions (73%). The least popular Commandment for modern significance is to keep the Sabbath holy (47%), according to the survey—which asked Americans about the King James Bible’s translation of the Ten Commandments.”
The study also found Christians and people who identify as Atheist or Agnostic mostly agree about the importance of “Thou shalt not kill”, Thou shalt not steal”, and “Thou shalt not bear false witness”.
However, they disagreed about “Honor (obey) your father and mother”: 50% Agnostic/Atheist, 71% Religious Non-Christian, 88% Christian.
They also differed about others, such as “You shall not commit adultry”: 72% Agnostic/Atheist, 75% Religious Non-Christian, 87% Christian.
The study suggests religion isn’t required to encourage good behavior or be a virtuous human being.
However, most people understand the importance of doing the right thing, but all people don’t do the right thing in all situations.
What would encourage everyone to be more likely to do the right thing more often, even when it might be difficult to do so?
Acceptance of the likelihood of reincarnation and karma, based on the vast evidence supporting it (such as the work of Dr. Ian Stevenson with past life memories of children, for example).
Many people freely and unthinkingly associate the word karma to all sorts of circumstances yet don’t understand it’s usually tied to reincarnation.
When you accept reincarnation and karma, you understand that everything you do will return to you, and it may not be in this lifetime, so you are more mindful of your actions and words. It’s all about personal accountability.
The acceptance of these two concepts holds everyone accountable; you can’t just do whatever you want, then get a free pass by asking for forgiveness from your God, confessing with a priest, or manipulating the “matrix” and magically ” rising above” the karma without having to directly balance it.
Countless people– from all over the world and all religions, including many former atheists– who had a near death experience will tell you there really is life after life, and we really do reincarnate. They’ll also tell you reincarnation and karma affect everyone, no matter what their beliefs. You don’t need to believe in it if you choose not to, but what is the harm in acting as if all actions return to sender?
Can you imagine a world in which everyone was taught from a young age about the importance of reincarnation? And then if they experienced past life regression it would lead to an understanding, a knowing; they’d perceive for themselves, and be shocked in the process, how their actions in past lives are influencing their current life.
Radical honesty would replace lying and cheating in relationships, for example. Everyone would know the vast audience on “the other side” is watching them, their deeds recorded forever, and how their words and actions contribute to their future fate.
With everyone (aside from some sociopaths and psychopaths) on their best behavior at all times, relationships could change quite a bit because they would be less damaged and driven by selfish desires or agendas.
We wouldn’t have to worry as much about theft because everyone would know they wouldn’t get away with it, from a spiritual perspective.
Those in need would benefit greatly because charity and the incentive to give would increase dramatically. You would see a lot more unpublicized competitions of who could donate the most to various charities.
Politics would change drastically because the bad eggs on both sides would be forced to set aside their political bias, be honest for a change, and put their country and its people first, rather than their own selfish desires. Corrupt politicians would think twice before looting their country.
Those prone to drug and alcohol abuse or other addictions would have another incentive to abstain, since they wouldn’t want to carry over that problem into future lives and have to work on it again, and again, and again.
You don’t need to believe in reincarnation to be a good person. But if you live your life like it’s true, you’ll help make the world a better place.

Numerology Compatibility Secrets Part II
Eons ago, truth seekers and spiritualists recognized that numbers represent qualities as well as quantities.
Number mysticism, the ancient and more complex form of today’s modern numerology, is one sure-fire divination method to discern personality and compatibility.
Everyone has unique strengths and problematic traits, and remarkably, those traits are represented in the astrological and numerological patterns (over-balanced and under-balanced forms of each number).
Granted, learning comprehensive astrology and numerology is like learning foreign languages; it takes time and discipline. However, you can get clues about personality and compatibility through basic number symbolism, as long as you realize that there is no “this (one single factor) equals that (a specific personality trait),” and final conclusions must be corroborated with supporting patterns.
Of course, there are those exceedingly psychic individuals who are able to use single factors as touchstones to consistently get accurate reads, but those people are atypical.
The day of birth (e.g., June 7th) is one of the more popular indicators in modern numerology, and also can be used effectively for signs about a person’s overall temperament and how they appear to others.
Since this is an introduction to numerology and compatibility, we’ll group all the day of month numbers together that have the same root number: 1, 10, 19; 2, 11, 20; 3, 12, 30; 4, 13, 22, 31; 5, 14, 23; 6, 15, 24; 7, 16, 25; 8, 17, 26; 9, 18, 27.
The reason 7, 16, and 25, for instance, are grouped together is that the root number of 16 and 25 is 7 (16=1+6=7, 25=2+5=7). 7, 16, and 25 share a lot of the same qualities having the same root number. Non-root numbers are an area of advanced study. Every number is unique.
Illustrating extreme over-balanced or under-balanced forms of numbers helps to learn the related energies. Below we highlight compatibility issues with each of the root numbers one through nine. A single number heavily recurring throughout the patterns in the personal charts can make a person seem a lot like one of the root numbers illustrated below. Otherwise, most people’s patterns in their personal charts include a mix of several numbers, making them appear like more than one number.
1: The problem with two ones is that they can’t both be ones at the same time and get along, unless their energy is perfectly balanced. Two impatient, intolerant, and headstrong people may find it difficult to be together. If balanced, one tends to gravitate to eight, sometimes nine and four, and always can get along with two, unless two is too fault-finding, an over-balanced trait of the two. One and seven get along if they spend most of their time apart, or at least if one gives seven lots of space.
2: Although two gets along with almost anyone, she believes five lacks tact and may stray, and seven is reticent and seems too distant. A self-depreciating two mirrors the under-balanced one; this couple should be careful of too much modesty and others trying to take advantage of their good will. Two wins the award for keeping the peace among difficult people.
3: Three can’t stand seven’s lack of communication and the fact that he always seems like his mind is somewhere else, like in outer space. She wants to enjoy life and the five and nine offers her a thrilling escape, until they get into trouble. Four is much too serious for three, and six can be too stuck in convention.
4: Four loves one’s efficiency and pragmatism, yet can’t stand three’s emotional volatility and nine’s lack of discipline. She appreciates six’s reliability and seven’s mental instead of emotional disposition. But she loathes five’s recklessness and restlessness, who goes through romantic partners like some people go through shoes.
5: Five would like four to be more flexible, but appreciates four’s affinity for physical activity. He wonders how six can be happy while being so traditional. Five likes adventure and to experience all things in life. She makes a good partner to nine, unless they both like too much of a good thing. Five is willing to commit to two, as long as five is permitted some discrete freedom.
6: Nobody is more responsible than six, but few also have such high expectations in romance and partnerships. Eight can deliver and makes six happy as long as six doesn’t demand regular endearments because that’s not eight’s style. It is two’s and sometimes three’s style, so they get along well with six. Six steers clear of thrill-seeking five, and especially seven. The phrase “sixes and sevens” certainly does apply in numerology—the two numbers are like water and oil together. Six is family, emotions, affection, and teamwork, and seven is meditation, spiritual work, solitude, and “We spent yesterday together so I need some space now, thanks.”
7: Seven can be happy with anyone, as long as they don’t live in the same house. Seven may as well be married to God, as he loves solitude more than anyone. He’s never alone, and can call up his other-dimensional friends at any time. He’s always working on something, often doing other-dimensional work. Seven is familiar with the deeper, spiritual side of relationships and tires of others failing to recognize that relationships have a higher purpose, beyond companionship, sentiment, sex, and mundane concerns. Seven sees (and intuitively knows), for example, how person A has person B in her life to learn specific karmic lessons. Five would like seven to be more daring, and five makes seven uneasy, unless they are drinking together. Seven likes four’s stability, but not his avoidance of spirituality. Seven avoids the melodramatic three—he is alarming to the serene seven.
8: Eight as a successful businessman with a seven wife can be trouble. When he’s not building his empire, he wants to spend time with her but the lights are on and nobody is home, or so he thinks. She’s mentally and spiritually at a symposium in a higher dimension, but physically appears to be asleep with her eyes open. She can’t stand the small talk at the functions he drags her to, and would rather be with her psychic friends who eight calls “cosmonauts.” He sometimes wishes his wife were more like the two (eager to please) or four (grounded and practical).
9: Nine has a blast traveling the world with five, and is considering a spiritual retreat with seven. He’s very open-minded so clashes with, four, six and eight, but only if they are expressing the over-balanced energies of four, six, and eight. Nine helps one, but one gets tired of nine being a wanderer with his buddy five. Nine attracts the finest money can buy, but often times it doesn’t last. What does endure is nine’s inherent unconditional love.
Though the language of comprehensive numerology is a discipline that takes as much time to learn as any foreign language, even basic number mysticism can give you a remarkable glimpse into human personality and compatibility.

Numerology Compatibility Secrets Part I
Mystics realized thousands of years ago that numbers symbolize qualities as well as amounts.
Numerology, or what used to be referred to as number mysticism, is one of several tried and true forms of divination used to derive personality traits and compatibility.
Nobody is perfect, and those imperfections are reflected by unique patterns of over-balanced and under-balanced forms of each number.
A modern numerology bad habit is associating one single numerological indicator with distinct personality traits. There is no “this (one single factor) equals that (a specific personality trait).” A single factor gives you only a hint. It must be corroborated with other factors, forming patterns to firmly represent personality talents and challenges, along with personal fate. The exception is if you’re one of those consistently psychic individuals who only needs a single indicator such as the day of birth to access the divine.
It’s possible for us mere mortals to at least get an idea of the truth from single factors if you’re in a hurry, as long as you realize it’s necessary to go much deeper to verify your impressions.
The day of birth, such as the 1st of January, is one of the more popular indicators in modern numerology, and also happens to be one of the factors that is firmly associated with how a person appears to others and their overall nature.
The reason 1, 10, and 19, for example, are grouped together is that the root number of 10 and 19 is 1 (10=1+0=1, 19=1+9=10=1+0=1). 1, 10, and 19 share a lot of similar qualities having the same root number. So we’ll focus mostly on the root numbers 1-9 below. More information can be derived from non-root numbers, a more advanced area of study.
Personifying extreme over-balanced or under-balanced forms of numbers helps to understand the related energies; below we highlight compatibility issues with each of the root numbers 1-9. A single number heavily recurring throughout the patterns in the personal charts can make a person seem a lot like one of the root numbers illustrated below. Otherwise, most people’s patterns in their personal charts include a mix of several numbers, making them appear like more than one number.
1:
Imagine a driven alpha male who is one of the best in everything he does—academics, career, and financial success. It’s very symbolic of a balanced, healthy number one. This form of the one gets along exceedingly well with the number two, four, and nine, and sometimes eight (if the eight lacks power and control issues). It doesn’t click well with an un-balanced three, who he thinks is too scattered and immature. However, a balanced three with a balanced one make for a fantastic creative team. One doesn’t click with six, unless six is flexible and doesn’t try to overrule the one.
2:
Two can get along with pretty much anyone, especially if two is healthy and balanced. She makes the perfect supportive and understanding partner. But if two is under-balanced, she is dependent, cowardly, and overly sensitive. If over-balanced, she is deceitful and manipulative.
3:
Three can get along with most others, especially those who have an affinity for creative expression, laughter, pleasure, good times, and socializing. Three has a problem with four’s lack of imagination and critical nature, and wishes seven would lighten up and have some fun. The problem with three is his emotional volatility, superficiality, depression, and irresponsible nature. Three is a Friday night out number, not an everyday take-care-of-business number.
4:
Four tends to like one, two, six, and eight, and can tolerate seven. Three and five tend to be too unsettling, and nine is too spacey and vague for the pragmatic four. A structured partnership without surprises suits four.
5:
Being the most versatile number, five can get along with everyone (especially nine), but isn’t quite compatible with two, four, and six. Five appreciates two’s sensitivity, four’s work ethic, and six’s heart. But it also gets tired of two’s inactivity, four’s rigidity, and six’s dogma.
6:
Six and two are most geared toward long-term relationships; they can’t be single for long, and they are really good together. Six also gets along well with four and eight, as long as eight isn’t too unsympathetic. Six has a problem with five’s promiscuity, three’s lack of seriousness, one’s aggressiveness, seven being so spacey, and nine’s hedonism.
7:
Seven has an affinity with nine, two, and one, and appreciates four, but tends to have a problem with other numbers. Although he likes four, he believes four and eight are too mundane-oriented. Three is frighteningly mercurial, five is too adventurous, and six needs too much together time.
8:
Eight gets along great with one, two, four, six, and nine, as long as the others know eight is in charge. Eight believes three is too superficial and seven is too otherworldly. Eight and five get along well in business, but not in romance, unless eight pays the bills and five is okay with being dependent on eight. Eight appreciates partners who offer her status and security. Two eights can be great together, as long as they aren’t exhibiting typical over-balanced tendencies of eight: power and control games, argumentativeness, and bullying.
9:
Being the humanitarian, nine gets along with everyone, as long as they don’t walk out after realizing nine won’t stick to the commitment. Nine thinks four is too narrow-minded, and eight is too business-oriented. Nine and seven (and five) should be careful of the tendency to over-indulge.
Although the language of number symbolism is a discipline that takes as much time to learn as a foreign language, even basic numerology can give you a fascinating glimpse into human personality and compatibility.
