Fate: Movie Stars, Fame and Predestination

Share Button

Fifty Hollywood actors of similar talent toil for years looking for that big break, frequently crossing paths through the same auditions and talent agencies. Eventually, two of them make it to A-list status, yet the others languish in obscurity. We don’t call it luck, we call it fate.

It makes me believe in fate. In most cases, the readings where I’ve been really bad have usually been the ones where I got the part.”
Robin Wright

After reviewing thousands of people’s comprehensive astrology and numerology charts, our objective findings consistently show those who are fated to become famous do, and those who aren’t, don’t.

That may sound “void of promise” to you, but we prefer to tell it as we see it to help you save time, money, and avoid heartache. Besides, life is about the journey, not the destination, wouldn’t you agree?

Consider these other quotes about fame and predestination:

“Casting sometimes is fate and destiny more than skill and talent, from a director’s point of view.”
Steven Spielberg

“When I was growing up in Terrell, Texas, I felt that it was not where I was supposed to be. I knew that I was meant for a different destination. I think that the minute I was born, there was something inside telling me where I would go, it’s like energy – an intangible destiny.”
Jamie Foxx

“…I didn’t know what I was going to do with myself. And then fate reached in and took me in its hands. I was discovered right out of high school and started getting work.”
Sally Field

“We are all tied to our destiny and there is no way we can liberate ourselves.”
Rita Hayworth

“I’m a great believer in fate. I think things happen in spite of, and despite, yourself.”
Randolph Scott

“Fate pulls you in different directions.”
Clint Eastwood

“Fate gives you the finger and you accept.”
William Shatner

Those who deny fate assert that force of will and hard work allow you to achieve anything. Perhaps there are multitudes of aspiring Hollywood actors thinking to themselves, “If someone like Brad Pitt can make it big, so can I.”

Do you believe Brad Pitt is just a pretty face and got lucky in his career? We disagree. The patterns symbolizing fame and money success in Brad Pitt’s comprehensive charts are beyond stellar, even breathtaking. The aspiring stars that never get a break, despite working as hard as anyone else, simply lack the necessary patterns. In other words, it’s their fate to never get that big break, and the unique patterns in their charts represent it. Again, we know this doesn’t sound encouraging, but we’ve found that being direct is ultimately more helpful to you.

Interestingly, extreme infamy is equally as easy for us to identify in the charts, as is an exceptional fall from grace, significant career beginnings and peak points, and key love life connections, to name a few.

After years of doing this type of work, we’ve learned the importance of working with fate and accepting what you can’t change, and It’s always heartening to see patterns of extraordinary success in an individual’s comprehensive charts.

After recently watching on a long flight Ex Machina and A Most Violent Year staring relatively young (36 years-old) Oscar Isaac, we appreciated his talent. We then reviewed his charts and were intrigued with how his overall lifetime mega fame and career staying power is similar to that of Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones. He’s staring in the upcoming Star Wars movies, episodes VII and VIII.

The theory of personal fate (same meaning as destiny) tells us there’s a reason for everything and things happen when they’re supposed to happen.

However, fate does not mean you should always wait around for things to happen. Get centered, figure out your talents and what you really want, and take action. Fated events sometimes just happen to you, completely out of your control, and other times they occur when you follow your dreams and work toward success.

5 Future Predictions That Won’t Happen Due to the Laws of Fate and Karma

Share Button

The world is currently experiencing a technology boom and the future looks incredibly exciting. We believe technology and the overall standard of living will be exponentially more advanced, beyond your imagination, in the near future.

However, many seemingly possible future life predictions won’t manifest due to the laws of fate and karma. Below we list seven.

1. Robotic and DNA engineers promise to create immortal humans. Simply go to your local DNA manipulation shop and free yourself from the restraints of the cycle of birth and death. Live forever, they say. This won’t happen because your soul (not your personality) determines your life’s particulars, and it has plans for your next lives too. The same goes for the concept of transferring your consciousness from one platform to the next, never dying. This might be possible some day after scientists finally accept that we are spiritual beings having a physical experience, and then address the soul instead of just the brain and body, but we’re a long way away from that.

2. The global, bureaucratic elite are aiming for a one-world currency. This won’t happen for the same reason a one-world government won’t happen: individual sovereign nation states have their own unique styles and trying to combine all the different cultures, forms of government, and fiscal policies is a recipe for disaster. The laws of fate and karma dictate that personal freedom is essential for spiritual growth.

Besides, the more power you, as a free individual, surrender to a centralized power, the greater the likelihood of tyranny. Individual sovereign nation states are a good thing, as is free market competition. We’re excited about future technology fostering more effective forms of bartering and financial exchange.

3. Religious extremists of various faiths and other bigots throughout the world are calling for homosexuality to be overcome in the future. They couldn’t be more wrong. Based on our empirical research, we believe sexual orientation is innate and exists before incarnating, rather than a choice like what you decide to have for dinner. As humans become more accepting and tolerant, sexual orientation will eventually be a non-issue everywhere.

4. We’re all for mutually rewarding, monogamous, long-term relationships, and tip our hats to those who are currently enjoying such a union. But the future won’t include more traditional American marriages and families; that relationship model may even fade into obscurity, eventually.

We believe one, five, or ten year marriage contracts will be popular in the future, just like they were common in ancient Egypt (if you’re both still compatible and happy, simply renew the contract). The trend will be toward more honesty and freedom in personal relationships because fate and karma demand it. The reason you see so much unhappiness today in relationships is because people have been conditioned to conform, swim upstream and fight the natural current of fate.

5. Technology will continue to do wonders for communication, but it won’t make tyrants and bullies nice people. War, in some form or another (e.g., economic warfare), and strife will never cease to exist on this planet due to the law of polarities. Utopia only exists on the other side, though technological advances and a growing number of people embracing the laws of fate and karma will create a better future.

Communication through thought transmission, increasing your intelligence through soft (brain implant) computing, inexpensive and unlimited fuel and power sources, new and faster ways of long-distance travel, non-invasive and cheap detection of cancer and other diseases, self-driving cars, holographic images of other people in your office or home instead of video communication, and much more makes the future very exciting. But the laws of fate and karma forever prevail.

7 Signs You Are Captain of Your Destiny and Fate is Not Real

Share Button

The fate vs. free will argument has been around for eons. We believe you have free will to make the most of your fate and even shape it, but not how you may think.

The motivational and self-help marketplace is full of well-intentioned professionals promising to make you the captain of your destiny. You can do anything you put your mind to, anything, they say. All you have to do is work hard, believe in yourself, and follow their advice.

We’re all for inspiration, but we like it to be rooted in reality.

Very few in that industry will concede to the concepts of reincarnation and personal fate. After all, you only have one life, they say. Others claim you’re just a body and brain with no soul. Fair enough–everyone is entitled to his or her opinion.

Unfortunately, if the motivational advice doesn’t work, a follower will feel like a failure, not understanding that outcomes depend on fate and that the journey is just as or more important than the goal.

The definition of fate, in part, includes events and circumstances in your life that you have no control over and cannot change. It’s pretty straight forward, but we’ve encountered many people who deny this basic concept or alter the definition to fit their agenda.

Are you in complete control of your destiny? Below we list seven signs you are the captain of your destiny.

1. You’re able to control the choices and actions of others–what they think, say, and do. You never face any insurmountable obstacles in your interpersonal interactions because you’re the master of your reality. Your superhero cape is as beautiful as you are brilliant!

2. Your health and that of everyone you love is like that of an Olympic gold medalist swimmer. There are rarely any physical limitations or illnesses to distract you from living the dream life you demand. If you ever do encounter any, you cure it with your magic wand and then go on to have the best year ever!

3. Despite clear evidence to the contrary, you believe you control your subconscious mind. All those hidden fears and defenses (e.g., arrogance) don’t bother you, and you never screw up because of them.

4. You’ve never experienced anything but success in your career. Every money-making venture you’ve undertaken has turned to gold, exactly to your high expectations. Nobody ever blocks your plans or projects because everyone knows you are the CEO of your existence and to do so would be an affront to the power of the universe. All you have to do is get in touch with the abundance of the universe and it’s yours, right?

5. All your relationships, including early life, family, romantic, and professional are completely harmonious. There’s no resistance, strife, or negativity. It’s common for you and all your loved ones to spontaneously break into song about the perfection of your relationships.

6. Every time you travel, nothing goes wrong. Delays, cancellations, bad weather, rip-offs, and other travel problems are for other people, because you are the controller of your reality.

7. Whenever something unwanted or unexpected happens in your life, you wave your favorite motivational book at the problem and call out, “I am the wizard of my reality! I command thee to go my way!” Magically, things do go your way because you create everything in your life, exactly to your tastes.

Unfortunately, nobody has super-human powers that will change their preordained fate.

Sometimes it may seem like you changed your fate, but the change was destined, as was using your free will within the framework of your fate.

We believe you can make the most of your fate and you can even shape your future fate (i.e., your fate in future lifetimes) by how you respond now to people, events and conditions in your life.

You can’t eliminate your fate, but you can do your best, which will optimize the rewards and limit the challenges in your life.

How Spiritual Laws Affect Your Love Life

Share Button

The law of attraction says that you attract what you focus on. But what about the other, equally important spiritual laws? Below we discuss them, and how spiritual laws affect your love life. Our findings are the result of our extensive empirical research.

Law of Higher-Self/Soul Influence Over Personality

Even though you may want a permanent fairytale-like romantic love life, that’s not what your soul chose before incarnating. Your soul’s agenda is to learn and grow, and a perfectly happy love life wouldn’t help you accomplish that goal. Fortunately, you have free will to react positively to fated events and make the most of your love life.

Law of Subconscious Personality Domination

Your subconscious beliefs, defenses, and fears rule your life. If you believe you must suffer for love, that’s what you’ll experience. If you have a fear of being alone, you will do anything, including enter bad relationships, to avoid it. The good news is that it’s possible to use hypnosis and past life regression to overcome, or at least be better able to deal with, many fears and defenses.

Law of Reincarnation

Even if your current personality doesn’t believe in the concept, it didn’t prevent your soul from choosing to reincarnate to learn from, love, and interact with souls you knew in previous incarnations.

Law of predestination/personal fate/destiny

Souls choose the bodies they reincarnate into, and the experiences that are destined to be part of the package. They aren’t aware of every single possible life event and circumstance before incarnating. The forces of predestination, beyond earthly comprehension, and put into motion lifetimes ago, help shape the circumstances of the “package deal” of each physical body.

Our findings show the major events of your life, and love life, are fated. You cannot “manifest” an ideal love life if that is not destined for you at that time. Sometimes you must use your free will, by doing what you feel compelled do, to meet your fate.

Law of Karma

All your intentions and actions return to you in this life, or more likely, in a future life. This means that your love life now is, in part, the result of your previous actions. However, if you crave but don’t have an ideal love life, that doesn’t necessarily mean you were “bad” in past lives; it’s possible that your soul chose a different path for learning or other reasons.

Law of projection

When you are projecting, you see potential love interests and partners as you are, not as they are. The greater your self-awareness and understanding of your strengths, fears, and defenses, and the more detached you are in your viewpoint, the more you will see others as they are.

Law of Intent

Your true intentions drive your actions. Sometimes your conscious intent clashes with your subconscious intent. For example, if you consciously want a harmonious relationship, yet your subconscious mind has a need to argue and be right, your love life will suffer.

Law of Asking for Assistance

Much spiritual guidance and protection is available to you, including advice about how to improve your love life, but you must ask for it.

Law of Universal Order

The change of seasons, tides, and the way planetary motions are predictable are examples of this law. The law of universal order also relates to humans and makes accurate interpretation of personal fate, such as the main events of your love life, possible through comprehensive astrology and numerology.

Law of Free Will

You have free will to react to life, within the confines of your destiny. You cannot change your fate, but you can react positively and make your life and relationships more enjoyable and harmonious.

It’s our hope that by understanding how spiritual laws affect your love life, you’ll be able to experience more peace of mind and happiness in your life.

5 Politically Correct Myths About Karma

Share Button

You want to avoid creating negative karma if you’re like us and believe that whatever you intend, say or do comes back to you.

We’re confident that our long-term empirical research with past life regression and interpreting personal fate through comprehensive astrology and numerology, has enlightened us about what we believe to be the law of karma.

Even if you don’t share our theories, you still want to do the right thing in all situations, assuming you have a conscience.

Over the years we’ve read and heard about what we interpret as a lot of myths about karma.

Below we list five politically correct myths about karma.

Myth Number 1: “A person who wants to become famous and wealthy for selfish reasons instead of wanting to inspire and help others heal and share their wealth with those less fortunate is doomed. The karmic consequences of such selfishness is to lose it all and suffer disgrace.”

Does anyone really believe that wanting to be rich and famous just for the sake of being rich and famous will condemn you to poverty and dishonor? It sounds like absolute rubbish to us, embraced by those who have financial hang-ups.

We’ve said it many times: there’s nothing wrong with the desire for financial abundance. It’s perfectly spiritually acceptable. What’s important is what you do with your wealth and how you treat others. There are countless shining examples of wealthy individuals who give a lot of money to charity.

“People acting in their own self-interest is the fuel for all the discovery, innovation, and prosperity that powers the world.” John Stossel

In truth, most, if not all people who achieve their goals of becoming rich and famous acted in their own self-interest; it won’t make you incur negative karma by doing so.

Myth Number 2: “Your free will can change your fate greatly.”

This assertion is in dire need of clarification. Our findings firmly show that your free will can only alter the fate of your future lives, not this life.

Most of your fate in this life–we believe 75% of the core circumstances and events in your life–is unchangeable and you’re powerless to alter it. It may sound depressing, but cheer up, because that 75% includes the rewarding things in life too, and you have free will to make the most of your circumstances through your attitude, grace, unconditional love, and forgiveness.

Myth Number 3: “You decide your fate by your decisions and faith and nothing is set in stone.”

This is another one that needs clearing up. Fate is not like an entree you choose from a menu. Your core life circumstances in this life are due to your actions in prior lives, even if you don’t remember them. Your decisions now won’t change your ultimate fate in this life, but they can shape your future life fate. Also, we believe faith is important, but it won’t alter your personal karma and fate in this life.

It’s always amusing to us when we hear, “nothing is set in stone.” It’s the mantra of those who want an easy out if their predictions don’t manifest, deny that personal adversity exists and, or haven’t done the work necessary to witness the recurring correlation between patterns (in the comprehensive astrology and numerology charts) and key circumstances and events in people’s lives.

Myth Number 4: “Ascension is happening on the planet so instant karma is happening, as is co-creation, which allows you to bypass bad karma.”

We believe “ascension” is New Age nonsense and the law of karma isn’t changing at all–the basic tenet remains the same.

What you do today won’t catch up to you any sooner because of a New Age myth called ascension. Karma, both good and bad, always catches up to you, in time.

Also, you’ve always been “co-creating,” from the moment of your first lifetime, eons ago. You create your reality by how you view and deal with your life situations. You can’t erase or bypass negative karma. You must balance it directly.

Myth Number 5: “Most of us are on our last lifetime, so the karma is almost balanced.”

As much as we would like this to be true, nothing in our research points to this notion. The reality is that most people have many more lifetimes to endure.

Life is not easy. But understanding, what we believe to be, the reality of karma will make it much easier to endure.

The Truth About Rewriting Your Soul Contract

Share Button

The notion of rewriting your soul contract is about eliminating life’s challenges and getting what you want in a snap. We believe it’s impossible to rewrite your soul contract, though you do have free will to respond positively to it.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful to suddenly live the life of your dreams and never again have any challenges? We applaud you for going after your dreams, but challenges are part of life. Without them you don’t learn and grow.

We can hear it now–legions of New Age enthusiasts calling for our heads. We get lots of hate e-mails due to our writings, but we insist on telling you the truth about what we’ve found on our spiritual journey since the late 1980s, rather than pandering to you to increase sales.

Our role may not be to deliver inspiration, but we strive to offer spiritual truth.

The notion of rewriting your soul contract is marketed in the spiritual arena as a cure-all to life’s problems, like waving a magic wand. The claims span from slight life alterations to instantly eliminating massive burdens like terminal diseases.

Carnival barkers will always exist, but aren’t you glad you have people like us to remind you of reality?

We acknowledge that a positive attitude, faith, and gratitude can work wonders in dealing with life’s problems, but unfortunately, you must work through your karma to balance it. There is no magic bullet.

By all means, do everything you can to overcome life’s challenges, aim high, and enjoy life to the fullest, but don’t be disappointed if you can’t avoid the approximately 75% of fated circumstances and events in your life.

Below we list five things you’ll have an easier time doing than altering your soul contract:

1. Become instantly sober after drinking several alcoholic drinks. Just pray to the Booze Gods and ask for forgiveness. What’s that, you say, they’re not listening? You’ve got to pray harder.

2. Look exactly like you did when you were age twenty-one, at age fifty. Just pray to the Youth Gods and get your grove back.

Actually, you can look far younger than your age. Use your free will and discipline to do anti-aging exercises like yoga and high intensity interval training (rather than long-distance running, for example), and avoid consuming things that age the body, like sugar and junk food.

3. Is someone in your life driving you crazy? A neighbor, coworker, your boss, or a family member? Get rid of them, legally and within spiritual law, by calling on the Exile Gods and they’ll be gone in minutes.

4. Quickly have a rewarding and lucrative career, without the hassles of any training, advanced degrees, major set-backs, or hard work! It’s easy and simple! Just pray to the Life Purpose Gods and they’ll make sure you get whatever you want!

In reality, you do have free will to follow your passions and develop and share your talents. If your career path is destined to earn you a high income, that’s a bonus, but wealth is secondary to how you deal with your spiritual lessons.

5. Take your relationship back to the honeymoon phase, even if you can’t stand the sight of each other!

Fortunately, you do have free will to make the most of your love life. Sometimes that means accepting someone as they are, admitting your faults and, or moving on.

Life demands discipline, effort, and patience, and there is no easy way out of your soul contract, even if you make daily contact with your spiritual guides.

What about people who decide to make changes and then overcome difficulties? We believe the options to overcome the difficulties and their efforts were destined. They did not “create” anything that wasn’t already part of their contract.

Sometimes you need to endure difficult times, as harsh as that may sound, because the spiritual reasons outweigh the mundane. Some spiritual lessons are easy, some are rewarding, and many are challenging.

How you embrace your lessons is vital. Even though you can’t completely rewrite your soul contract after reincarnating, detachment, acceptance, faith, gratitude, confidence, and joy make it much easier to deal with it. Do the best you can and you’ll pass your life tests with flying colors.

Our Direct Your Destiny E-Package offers an easy way to relax, release, avoid stress, and know what is the next best step in any situation to help you more effectively deal with your soul contract.

New Age Case Study–You Can’t Avoid Fate And What to do Instead

Share Button

We offered our sympathy when a friend expressed anxiety about a very tough personal situation she was going through. Hearing about her situation reminded us about the futility of attempting to dodge personal fate and adversity.

She said, “Aside from the challenges in my childhood, or maybe because of them, I’ve always managed to power though the tough periods in life. But now I’m going through some really overwhelming things and I’m about at my breaking point, consumed with worry and fear.”

She went on to say, “My ex-husband is in trouble with the IRS, and he’s facing charges for being way behind in child support. Now he’s trying to take full custody of our children because he’s very angry that he had to go to court about child support. He probably won’t win, but he’s playing dirty and it’s costing me a lot of money and my good reputation. He wants to steal my children, move them to another state, and wants me to pay for it!”

“I must have been a very horrible person in a past lifetime because I can see no wisdom in all that’s been happening. Usually I can see the lesson or the wisdom in it. This time I’m truly blind.”

We mentioned that while fate is likely at play, it may also be a case of 1 + 1 = 2 (marrying someone who is not compatible and who has serious personality red flags, which were hidden until it was too late = problems).

We told her that she’s an honorable person now, that’s what matters most, and even if she did keep her kids from her ex in a past life, it’s best not to worry about that now because everyone has been incorrigible in past lives.

She also mentioned that she dabbled in some New Age manifestation techniques (spells) and, “Literally, it blew up in my face and made things worse. ‘Manifesting’ proved to be very dangerous in my case.”

“It’s a given this is a very tough time in your life,” we said, “but as you know, personal fate frequently isn’t logical when viewed from just the perspective of this lifetime. Maybe you’ve been led to believe, by the usual New Age suspects, that you wouldn’t have to endure such pain if you would just believe in the ‘secret’ and ‘manifest’ a better tomorrow, for example. Those philosophies don’t work in the real world when you are faced with impossible odds.”

“One benefit of this experience is that you can now more easily spot New Age bull. Well written New Age prose may feel wonderful and inspiring, like a sugar high, but so much of it is myth and pure escapism.”

“Hey, our apologies if that sounds harsh, but fate is fate, unalterable, and much in life isn’t so pleasant. It can’t be avoided by New Age snake-oil solutions, no matter how much they inspire you.”

“However, as you know by now, you can view life’s challenges in a way that makes them more bearable; accept what you can’t change and view them as a necessary part of life. Things aren’t going as you had planned, but a year from now you’ll be through with the bulk of it. Hang in there!”

Unfortunately, our friend, like many others, found that when life (i.e., personal fate) deals you an impossible hand, it makes popular New Age solutions like “manifest anything you want” appear frivolous and disingenuous.

While we appreciate inspiration rooted in reality and the idea of constantly striving toward your goals, it’s important to avoid getting caught up in spiritual hype because it can make you feel like a failure or worse.

Irreversible personal adversity, the really hard stuff in your life, is a reality for everyone at some point or another. The best approach is usually to deal with it head-on, compassionately and assertively. You are stronger than you realize. Accept what you can’t change, like others’ behavior, change what you can, and be grateful for the opportunity for growth because it’s largely the trials in life that make you the person you are destined to become.

Watch Out For Psychics Who Say “Nothing is Set in Stone”

Share Button

Recently, someone e-mailed the following feedback and question about fate, free will, and psychics to us:

“First, I want to say that the older I get the more I believe you are right that the major events in our life were planned by us before we reincarnated. While many may find this frustrating and not want to believe that they don’t have total control over their future, I actually find it comforting.

“There have been many times in my life where I have put forth great effort professionally and personally and things just didn’t work out despite how hard I tried. It’s actually comforting to a large extent to know that those things just weren’t meant to be and there is a larger plan for me.

“Unlike other people who may find your philosophy off putting or limiting I like knowing that the next step or steps in my life are inevitable (if I understand you correctly) as long as I put one step in front of the other and take action and do my best along the way.

“I wanted to ask though, I have been to psychics before and many of them have been quite accurate in predicting events in my life though their timing has been off, why is it that many psychics believe that the future is not fixed and free will can change anything? This actually frustrates me when they say this because I don’t agree!

“Major events in my life have unfolded despite my ‘free will’ and efforts to change them. I just don’t believe things are ALWAYS in my control. You would think a psychic would realize this? Why is it so many don’t?”

Our Response

We believe it’s important to always proactively take appropriate action and assertively strive to reach your goals, yet also realize that the belief of being able to entirely “control your destiny” is largely futile and an ego-self construct.

Directing your destiny is about taking the most appropriate action (free will), which is innately part of your destiny, and also directing your future life destiny through doing the right thing now–destiny is something that extends beyond this life, into future lives.

As we always recommend, keep forging ahead in the direction you feel is optimum.

We believe the major events in your life are predestined, as is meeting the major players. The minor ones may not be, unless they influence you greatly. For example, if you have a “chance” conversation with a stranger who gives you information that leads you to significantly change your life direction, that was likely destined. You then used your free will to achieve your destiny; you moved in that direction and made those choices because they felt like the best options (such decisions hardly seem like “choices”).

You would think that most psychics would tell you that many of your future life circumstances, events, and conditions are set in stone, if they really can predict the future. However, many of them don’t, for one or more of these reasons:

1. They don’t know any better.
2. They don’t want to disappoint you.
3. They don’t want to believe it themselves.
4. They want an excuse as to why their prediction didn’t manifest and it’s easier to blame it on the faulty “nothing is set in stone” myth, or you for “not taking the right path” or “not trying hard enough.”

So what do you do? Keep doing everything you can to reach your goals, yet take comfort in knowing that there is much in life that you can’t alter or avoid, and that your energy is better allocated toward embracing and working with your fate instead of attempting to override it.

Metaphysical Terms 101: Basics, Misconstrued and Misused, Part II

Share Button

On your quest for spiritual truth, the last thing you need is misinformation.

Unfortunately, today’s New Age market is full of dead ends.

We list below the definitions of key spiritual terms, according to our empirical research since the 1980s, to help you cut through the cosmic debris and follow the most authentic spiritual path possible.

Fate: Here’s a word that is often distorted beyond recognition. It actually means the same as destiny. You’ve likely heard the phrase, “You can’t cheat fate.” We can’t emphasize enough how true we’ve found this to be, always. It would probably be easier to stop time.

You’ve also probably heard the phrase “nothing is set in stone.” Many psychics say this, perhaps to let their clients down easy when they foresee unpleasant events, or when they need an easy out if things don’t go as they say they would. But we’ve found that much in life is set in stone–that’s why we always recommend that you become more aware of your true self and highest path so you can capitalize on the rewarding parts of life.

Predestined: Life circumstances and situations chosen by your soul (higher-self) before you live this life so that you learn specific spiritual lessons. Our findings tell us that at least 75% of the major events and conditions (challenges and rewards) of everyone’s life are fated.

Karma: Many people use this word accusingly, and often incorrectly. What they often don’t realize is that if something “bad” happens to someone they consider a negative person, it has more to do with that person’s past life actions. For example, just because a woman has a habit of “loving and leaving” men, it doesn’t mean that she created karma in this life that caused a man she liked to do the same to her in this life. More likely, it was destined for the man to leave her for one or more of multiple past life karmic reasons.

Your “good” and “bad” karma is collected and worked through over many lifetimes. The theory of karma indicates that all actions, words, thoughts, and intent will return to you, and usually not in the same life. People only get away with things until the karma catches up to them–the direct consequences are always inescapable.

Karmic Reason: The spiritual reason, the cause, which stems from circumstances in previous incarnations.

Root Cause: The origin of the problem, often connected to the karmic reason.

Cycles and Timing: Recurring patterns that symbolize life occurrences. We’ve found that life is cyclical, that it can be outlined by comprehensive numerology and astrology, and natal patterns and cyclical timing methods represent life happenings; they don’t “affect” you or “make” things happen. Good timing really is important, and can be identified in conjunction with specific goals.

Lost souls: We believe that your soul is eternal and the physical body is a temporary home for it. However, upon the death of the physical body, some souls stick around on the earth-plane instead of going to the “Light.” Common reasons include addictions and a violent or sudden death. Some may not fully grasp that their physical body has perished since they still feel alive.

They can interfere with or drain your energy and sometimes it’s not easy to distinguish their thoughts, cravings, and emotions from your own. Instead of just noting their existence with electronic equipment like select ghost hunting shows do, we recommend helping them (and yourself) and guiding these lost souls to the “Light” by asking for assistance from other-dimensional spiritual helpers (A helpful script about how to do so is in our Direct Your Destiny e-package, or try our Spiritual Detox audio MP3.)

The best approach to gain the most spiritual awareness possible is to keep an open mind, yet maintain a decent sense of discernment. Explore for yourself, cross check, and scrutinize various theories before accepting them as part of your belief system. In time, you’ll know if a concept rings true or not.

Metaphysical Terms 101: Basics, Misconstrued and Misused

Misunderstandings regarding metaphysics and spirituality abound. Our empirical research since the 1980s has allowed us to realize, what we believe to be, the authentic meanings of the following spiritual terms.

Be cautious of “updated” definitions and alternative versions of these important terms, as in many cases they have been construed to fit the author’s agenda and profit goals. Redefining spiritual truths is like re-writing history–it’s misleading and disrespectful to your audience and the ancient sages and philosophers who worked tirelessly to enlighten the world.

Mystic: This word can conjure up images of crazy old men with long, white beards or worse, thanks to Hollywood.

The American Heritage dictionary defines mysticism as consciousness of transcendent reality or of God through deep meditation or contemplation. Mystic is defined as of or relating to religious mysteries or occult rites and practices; one who practices or believes in mysticism.

We add to the term mystic the following: a spiritually sensitive individual and, or one who is actively involved in personal growth and self-realization, and who searches deeply into the meaning of life. Therefore, we believe many of you reading this article are mystics.

Metaphysics: This word sounds complicated, but it’s actually quite simple. Meta means beyond, so metaphysical translates into beyond the physical. It’s the field of philosophy concerned with the study of the nature of existence, beings, space, time, and causality.

Higher-self: Your super-consciousness or sixth sense. You could also refer to it as your “God-self.” This is that mysterious side of yourself that you access under meditation and, or, for example, when you have piercing psychic insight about the future.

Destiny: The bulk of the conditions and key circumstances in your life which are planned out by your soul before incarnating. This, however, doesn’t mean you can’t influence (see the next definition) and make the most of your life.

This is one of the most misused and misunderstood spiritual words, especially among those we call “New Age cheerleaders” (inspirational-focused authors). They claim to be able to show you how to “create” or “change” your destiny. Wouldn’t that be nice? Whatever you want, it’s yours! Well, we believe the reputable ancient mystics were right: Destiny is fixed and already in motion when you are born. Just like you can’t sober up right after downing several drinks, you can’t skip the karma you have carried into this life.

Free Will: How you react to your destiny or the events that “happen to you” is your free will. You have free will to “create” and “manifest” what you’d like, as long as that goal is within the confines of your destined path.

Unfortunately, no matter how much you want something and no matter how clear your intent and how devoted you are to getting it, if it’s not part of your destiny, it’s not going to happen. The cheerleaders (and poets) fail to mention this, as their followers realizing the cold, hard spiritual realities of life would mean less seminar revenue and fewer book sales.

Are your main choices destined? We believe so. As we outline a person’s past and future circumstances through our work, it does appear to us that even the key “choices” they make are predestined. We’ve also found that your richest rewards are also predetermined, so have faith that you will realize what you’ve earned. More information can be found in our free download, Direct Your Destiny.

Taking note of these theories and incorporating the philosophies into your spiritual awareness, after testing them yourself, will save you an enormous amount of time and heartache. At the same time, be sure to objectively weigh other points of view.
