3 Most Overlooked Factors of Why Your Life is the Way it is

Share Button

The bulk of self-empowerment coaches and motivational speakers tell you that there are only two main elements that matter in getting what you want in life:

1. Taking positive action
2. Thinking positive thoughts (to attract what you want)

If it were only that easy. There is no shortage of those who do both and fail to live the life of their dreams.

Limited Viewpoint

Such an approach to life is based on a belief that your life circumstances are only the result of two things: what happens in your life; and your response to what happens in your life.

The latter is a presumption based on the idea that if you react the right way to what you encounter in life, you can easily create any reality you want. We are firm believers of the notion that you can make the most of your life, largely by how you handle and capitalize on your life circumstances, but there’s more to it than that.

The former can imply a type of victim consciousness. For example, if your lover cheated on you, would you consider that you (from a spiritual perspective) and the unrealistic expectation of blissful, mutually fulfilling, life-long monogamy may have just as much to do with the issue as she does, or would you take the most common approach (e.g., “poor me”) and blame her entirely?

Expand Your Horizons

If you want to understand more about yourself, why you are here, and how you can best serve the world and yourself, you must look beyond the scope of this single lifetime. Accepting the eternity of your soul, thus the theory of reincarnation, you realize that you have unfinished business (in “bad” and “good” ways) from multiple lifetimes and this is why you (your soul) have returned to Earth.

However, don’t worry about the possibility of being the villain in your past lives because everyone has played that role. As part of a tribe of conquerors during the Middle Ages, for example, you may have raided a village, unmercifully made the captors your slaves and weren’t very kind to them. However, you also saved many lives and helped to defeat an oppressive ruler. What goes around comes around.

Missing Keys

Our empirical research involving personality analysis, cyclical timing assessment (prediction and forecasting), past life regression, and predestination has shown us that there are three commonly overlooked facets to your reality:

1. Your karmic blueprint, which includes your past life debts and credits (whether you choose to believe in past lives or see them as symbolism, they still mirror and affect your reality today, as we’ve seen in countless case studies), as well as key, current life circumstances and personality characteristics, some alterable, and some not.

2. Your unique timing, which is linked to your karmic blueprint/life structure. Everyone’s timing is different, and everyone progresses (or regresses) through multitudes of cycles of various lengths, of which the energy may or may not be conducive to the fulfillment of their goals. Spiritually speaking, the goal is often less important than what is learned through attempting to fulfill the goal.

3. Your compatibility with others is reflected largely by your karmic blueprint and timing, which holds the keys to how you knew each other in the past, what needs to be learned this time, and more.

Everyone of significance in your life has an enduring cosmic link to you and you’ve likely spent time with them in multiple past lives, in various roles. How you get along now is a sign to how things were back then.

All three can be discerned in the comprehensive astrology and numerology charts and, or an intuitive reading, and handwriting analysis can be used to uncover subconscious character.

Perhaps the reason why these concepts are over-looked so frequently is because it’s complicated enough to deal with this life without seriously contemplating the spiritual reasons for life’s dilemmas.

But life becomes less complicated as you learn more about who you really are and your journey this time around. All the unimportant stuff melts away as you align yourself with your highest path and you can then capitalize on your timing to make the most of your life.

We readily agree that your attitude and proactive behavior can take you far, but there’s so much more to it than that, in our view.

Wall Street Excess and Spirituality

Share Button

Wall Street professionals are getting a lot of heat in the press lately for the exploits of few. Although we target Wall Street excess in this article, we believe the vast majority of financiers are honorable.

Our view is that the financial shenanigans that you see today are 10-15 years (at least) in the making, largely due to negligent, even reckless, and outdated government policy, regulations, and oversight. Politicians on both sides of the political spectrum are to blame, as are those who elected them.

An aside, though we find many foreign countries and their citizens appealing, we are grateful that we had the opportunity to incarnate as citizens of, what we believe is, one of the greatest countries on Earth. Also, we both minored in economics in college and consequently gained a vast appreciation for, and have absolute faith in capitalism, which your modern way of life depends upon.

As Margaret Thatcher said, “The problem with socialism is that eventually you (the government) run out of other people’s money.” Considering the way the government imprudently spends your tax dollars, it’s clear that the private sector is far more efficient in financial matters. The financial crisis of 2008 and 2009 pales in comparison to the never-ending, out of control spending of the U.S. government.

Furthermore, it’s a myth that fiscal white-collar villains are always white, male Republicans. The desperados hold varying affiliations and are from diverse walks of life. In fact, Democrats accepted just over 50% of Wall Street’s 2008 election contributions.

Also remember that when the super-wealthy get wealthier, it’s your good karma to benefit as well (think Bill Gates and Microsoft). The growth of the world’s economies through private enterprise benefits all, despite what some media sources might tell you. For those of you who live in the U.S.A. and other free market economies, remember that you have the freedom to take advantage of the system in any legal and ethical way you see fit, which will in turn increase your own and the world’s prosperity and standard of living.

Below we offer 7 examples of Wall Street dubiousness from a spiritual perspective.

1) When your derivatives trader acquaintance tells you with a wink and a nod that lack of proper over-sight and dreadful Securities and Exchange Commission regulations (helped along by celebrated Washington politicians, Democrat and Republican, who deal–emphasis on the word deal–with the more than 2000 lobbyists employed by the financial community) has helped create an environment where it’s easier than ever for the scammers to dodge the feds, feel compassion for her as you see a succession of future lifetimes of hers as being on the other side of a bad deal, getting ripped off repeatedly.

2) “Un-checked leveraging and bear-raids on failing companies using suspect short-selling tactics, which is like taking an insurance policy on your enemy, knocking them off, and getting away with it while enjoying the payout, has allowed me to rake in over $100 million this quarter alone!”, beams a trader. As you look at his aura and sense dozens of demons driving the bus, resist the urge to scream and run like hell. As soon as you get home do a spiritual cleanse.

3) You tour the trading floor of a high-profile firm and sense that many pros live on the edge in adrenaline, drug, and alcohol-fueled existences. The battlefields on which they work seem as fierce as any in the Middle East. While the rate of burn-out is high, have heart for these guys and gals who go for the gold. Just don’t get in their way, refuse to allow that rare broker to trade wildly, jacking up their commissions, and don’t pay excessive commissions on trades.

4) As levels of cronyism on publicly-traded firms’ boards escalates, don’t bother telling the CEO who abuses corporate finances that he is sailing a sinking ship. Know he’ll get his karmic punishment in time, even if it’s 50 lifetimes from now. When he says in a speech that his faith is very important to him, try not to laugh out loud and announce to the crowd, “Is that the faith of the Dark Lord of Pilfering you speak of?”

5) Whispers of insider trading and excessively creative accounting in non-private firms, even occasional false invoices used to purchase illicit services and goods, is enough to make you consider retribution. But be strong, it’s not worth your energy. Do what you can to combat the wrong-doing, but be careful to avoid gaining negative karma.

6) Through her bias, or even sometimes in exchange for favors, Alice the high-profile analyst over-inflates the projected worth of the equities she rates, hood-winking 1000s of investors. Nobody will notice, right? Sure, nobody but your spirit, Alice, and you’ll carry these deeds with you into your future lives. “Enjoy!”, you can’t resist saying to yourself. But have faith, she will eventually learn that it’s best to be honest, even when nobody is watching.

7) The train-robber-esque world of unregulated Credit Default Swaps (CDSs), has over the past several years turned speculation on corporate credit into a casino-style sport instead of merely hedging downside risk. “10, 20, 30 or more times your investment in leverage with only the risk of losing your initial capital! Who cares if I wreck a few companies and bring the financial industry to its knees!” exclaims George the gangster. You sigh to yourself as you sense he’ll, on a soul level, chose to endure multiple lifetimes of balancing the spiritual debt he’s acquired. Send him lots of Light, he’ll need it.

Is every Wall Street worker void of all shame and a conscience, you ask yourself? Of course not. Just as with any profession, there exist bad apples. Again, we believe the vast majority of American financial merchants are principled.

Ultimately, investors, employees, and consumers vote with their feet. If you don’t like the way some executives operate, don’t work for the company, don’t buy their products and services, and avoid investing in their equities.

Fatalism and Karma: Myths and Misconceptions

Share Button

The American Heritage dictionary defines fatalism as “The doctrine that all events are determined by fate and are therefore unalterable.” To us, fatalism is more forgiving. We have found through our long-term empirical research that at least 75% of everyone’s key life circumstances are predetermined. The type of financial standing, love life, recognition and fame, personal adversity, life purpose, and more, and the related timing; we think it’s all part of your unique personal destiny.

Fatalism in its Proper Perspective

Fatalism can be the predisposition that someone will over-indulge in and become addicted to sugar and nicotine, for example, and therefore incur serious health problems.

Fatalism, seen through comprehensive astrology and numerology, and intuitive readings, consists of general inclinations, and sometimes specific circumstances, such as an alcoholic parent, strife within the family between siblings, three difficult romantic breakups or divorces, two kids, a dynamically successful self-employment career involving publishing, or shrewd investing yielding vast abundance.

You Can Improve Your Life Even With the Most Challenging Fate

Even with the most dire personal fate, you have some freedom within your karmic plan to strive toward a better life. Additionally, we are convinced that much of predestination involves taking the right action at the right time, utilizing your free will; we believe fate and free will are intimately connected. Yet many times, significant events happen in your life no matter what you do. As the saying goes, the way to make God laugh is to make plans.

We always advocate the following life philosophy: understand yourself to the point of knowing your personal fate, deal with the hand you’ve been dealt (by your higher-self, your soul) constructively, take care of your responsibilities, and do everything you can with your free will to enhance your life.

Karma and Fatalism Aren’t Excuses to Avoid Responsibility

Unfortunately, too many people mistakenly think they have 100% free will while dismissing the belief in karma and predestination as a way to dodge obligations, commitments, and taking responsibility for their lives. Some people have the wrong idea about the topic of “fatalism” and “believing in karma.” They erroneously believe that karma is “…merely an excuse (like the will of God) to never take charge of your life and actually do something.” Or they may say that it’s just a tricky way to avoid taking responsibility because the person is too cowardly to act.

While some people on this planet (e.g., in select non-Western countries where Eastern religions prevail) believe in and practice absolute fatalism, meaning they believe they have zero free will to influence their life, all superstition aside, by and large the rest of the human race believes it is possible to improve their lives (at least to some degree) through appropriate action. “Control over one’s destiny” is another way in modern times to say “taking action to make a better life.”

Fatalism doesn’t have to mean 100% of everything in your life, even what you decide to have for desert, is fated. That’s silly. Equally silly is a lot of praying and, or visualizing without taking any concrete, efficient action toward your goals, or setting unrealistic goals.

Acceptance of Karma Equates to Taking Full Responsibility For Your Life

Most rational people today who believe in the notion of karma understand that embracing the idea of karma is all about taking responsibility for everything about your life. There’s nothing cowardly about, for example, forgiving those who have hurt you, healing yourself, accepting that you may have had the negativity coming to you (since you know that what goes around comes around even if it finally comes around from, for instance, 70 lifetimes ago), and not placing the blame on someone else.

Americans mostly believe that consistent, efficient effort makes for a better life, and we believe it does too, within the confines of personal fate. But don’t deceive yourself out of overbearing pride that you can “be or become anything you want.” You can if the desire matches your path, but life doesn’t
always work that way (total free will) despite what many self-help “authorities” might tell you.

That might sound unpleasant, but we believe you’ll agree, in time, it’s ultimately far more unpleasant to be led astray on the New Age path of illusion. Being sold New Age snake-oil is something you want to avoid, no matter how enticingly poetic and heartfelt the sales-pitch might sound to you.

Fatalism Includes Rewards Too

Occasionally there is an innately talented and intelligent person who works his or her way up from ground zero to accomplish great things, but this is all in the realm of fatalism too, in our view-big things happen because they are fated to happen. Success, good fortune, and failure is relative to your karmic plan. Hang in there and make the most of your life, it’s within your fate to do so.

Past Lives and Controversial Topics

Share Button

In our society it’s considered inappropriate to vocalize your opinion to a stranger on topics such as politics, religion, sex, money, racial issues, and abortion, just to name a few.

Everyone has an opinion, and some become very emotional, even angry if you don’t agree with theirs. Their strong beliefs are sometimes linked to their childhood or other miscellaneous defining moments in their lives.

But let’s not forget about the impact of past lives. If you want to find the cause of something in your life, whether it be your fondness for a certain nation or group of people, or your fear of flying or snakes, it can almost always be traced back to past lives.

Side note: As we’ve frequently said, it doesn’t matter if reincarnation exists or not. What is important is that exploring one’s past lives can be very healing, even if it turns out that the perceptions may be metaphorical, linked to your subconscious mind.

Do you know someone who spends a lot of their time campaigning for a cause or political candidate? They may simply believe strongly in the purpose and truly want to help others, but there could be other reasons too. For a person who is consumed by anger against the opposition, our findings indicate that a strong past life link is often likely: whoever is screaming the loudest (anti-whatever) could easily have been on the other side in a past life. Perhaps their actions in a past life as an 1800s shipping tycoon, for example, were often very dishonest, racist, unfair, and selfish. Consciously they don’t remember this, of course, but subconsciously it triggers a response. Guess why they’re spending so much energy on the cause now? Answer: they project their former nefarious self (or selves) onto others who may or may not (often times not) be creating the negative karma that they did in the past. Until they get to know themselves better (spiritually speaking) and recognize their projections for what they are, they’ll continue exclusively seeing the world as they are or were (instead of how it really is), spinning around like a dog chasing its tail.

How about a certain internationally famous pop star who, in the 1980s and 1990s, caused a lot of controversy through her sexual and (some would say) anti-religious images and lyrics? Is it possible that she lived one or more lives as a powerful religious figure who, by his or her actions, caused the populations of entire countries to be more shameful and fearful about sex? Absolutely. Could this pop star have been destined to attempt to reverse some of that through her (legal and mostly harmless) provocative and sexual public image and behavior in this life, and be ridiculed repeatedly in the press as a result? Yes.

Do you know someone who despises the wealthy? Do they insist that most rich people are greedy, mean, and had to be ruthless and cheat others to gain their wealth? Guess who very possibly acted in such a way in a previous life and created negative karma for themselves? Even if someone does obtain wealth unfairly by hurting others, try not to let it bother you too much. Have compassion for them and know that they will ultimately have to pay for it in other ways, even if it is not until a future life.

It’s important to note that your karmic circumstances in life are not about reward or punishment, but learning and growth. For example, being born rich or poor, straight or gay, black, white, brown, or red, attractive or not, fit or not, is not simply because you were “good” or “bad” in past lives.

However, if you are forced to deal with steep and stressful challenges in this life related to your family, sexual orientation, race, appearance or something else you cannot change, it’s possible your soul choose them for you to experience the other side of things. Or, sometimes it may be that your soul volunteered to be an example in some way for those around you, ultimately to help progress human understanding and compassion, for instance. You may or may not have been, for example, a rich, straight, handsome womanizer who used and abused females in a past life (and may or may not have already balanced the energy in successive past lives). Even if you were, everyone has been “good” and “bad” in past lives, so go easy on yourself; it’s much more important to focus on doing the right thing now in all situations than to feel guilty about how you were in past lives.

If you would like to overcome or at least be better able to deal with burdensome personal issues, past life regression can shed new light on the situation, help you to detach from it, and in some cases overcome it. If you just want to explore past lives out of curiosity, going back in time can be an eye-opening experience and help you realize the deeper reasons for why you are who you are and how you knew the people in your life.

We’re often asked which metaphysical and spiritual books we recommend.

You’ll find some grains of truth, wisdom, and plenty of inspiration (“You can do it!–ra-ra!”) in most metaphysical publications, especially the best-sellers.

After all, you would think so many people purchased them due to worthwhile content, instead of just a big name author or very effective public relations and marketing. At least we hope so.

You may not like us after reading this article. But if you heed our advice, you will eventually forgive us, even thank us, for helping you save enormous amounts of time and money in your spiritual journey. We would much rather generate positive karma (how selfish of us!) than lead you down a path of illusion just to make a quick buck.

If you’re new to metaphysics, or simply want to gain a more thorough understanding of it, we recommend titles that objectively cover the basics, such as reincarnation, personal karma, fate, destiny (same as fate in our view), and meditation, among others. A basic understanding of numerology, astrology, and other self-discovery tools can be very helpful, but knowing only a little of any esoteric science can do more harm than good unless you develop and rely more heavily upon your intuition.

Why are these subjects so important? There’s a good reason why they are an essential part of most of the major non-Western religions and spiritual philosophies of the world. Once you understand the inner-workings of these sacred subjects, your life and the world around you will make more sense.

Regarding astrology and numerology, we recommend works (or modern-day, objective interpretations of those works) prior to the 1600s AD (with some exceptions). While we value some forms of personality analysis using select forms of modern, psychological astrology and numerology, we’ve found the bulk of modern methods to be too subjective and recklessly creative, thus invalid.

Whatever titles you choose, beware if an author’s theories and messages deny personal fate and karma and he or she refuses to acknowledge that varying amounts of personal adversity is necessary for spiritual growth.

Imagine that! The seemingly unavoidable trials you’ve had involving finances, your health, or those with a lover, family, or a boss, ultimately resulted in you being a much wiser person. Who would have thought it possible that you could be grateful for such experiences and that they served you perfectly?

Too many of the well-known authors in the New Age and spiritual arena exclude discussions or even a mention of hard spiritual truths such as those involving the not-so-fun parts of life and those relating to your spiritual checks and balances.

This may be because they haven’t studied the concepts and lack an awareness of their importance. Or it may be because fate and karma greatly contradict with the main messages of their book or books, at times even rendering their claims or steps to success totally invalid.

Personally, we feel we owe it to our readers and clients to be candid about fate, karma, and other metaphysical issues. We may initially lose some potential clients who don’t want to confront the realities of these topics, but since people are better off in the long-run with the awareness we are often thanked later. We’re simply sharing the results of 20 plus years of our empirical research, without an agenda, and without a rigid marketing platform that disallows information that isn’t 100% cheery, uplifting, or inspirational.

The following are quotes from various, well known spiritual and metaphysical authors and teachers, along with our comments to show you how, in our well researched opinions, they are misleading people.

“Life is supposed to be good for you. You can be, do, or have anything that you desire.”

And if you just buy this book, you’ll instantaneously manifest a life of pure ease and luxury, erasing any and all of your negative karma, having anything you want! Sorry, that’s pure, fanciful, wishful thinking. There is no utopia and anyone who tries to sell it is either delusional or trying to pull the wool over your eyes for their own financial gain.

“Did you know that you have the power to eliminate all of the struggles in your life?”

Sure, just change your thinking and all your problems will disappear! This has to do with a secret (New Age), spiritual formula, otherwise known as denial and self-delusion. Yes, how you perceive your life circumstances can make a difference, but it will not allow you to skip karma that was set in motion before you were born, or side-step important, challenging life circumstances that serve to strengthen your soul.

“Inside, you’ll find all the tools you need to get anything you want out of life.”

The last page in this book has one word in size 17, bold font: “Sucker!” Really, there are no magic-bullet solutions to life’s complexities, as most realize (or will realize, in time).

“…will help you learn how to manifest your desires so that you’re living the joyous and fulfilling life you deserve. …It’s your birthright to live a life filled with everything that is good- and this book will show you how to make it so in every way!”

As we’ve stated many times in previous articles, we have found through extensive empirical research that everyone’s birthrights are different, and no one is entitled to anything they have not earned in a karmic sense. Everything that is good they say? Without “bad” there would be no “good.”

We half expect to soon see New Age books making promises such as, “You deserve to overcome the need to defecate” and, “It’s your birthright to feel full of energy without ever sleeping again!”

“The world of endless possibilities is awaiting you.”

Not really. What is waiting for you is what your soul has planned before you incarnated, and this may clash with what your ego-self (personality) wants.

“…Allows you to balance your key emotions in order to reach your destiny.”

Simply “balancing your emotions” to get whatever you want is like just pasting an insincere smile on your face in an attempt to feel true fulfillment. Your destiny is not a destination, it’s not “the life of your dreams” involving all the trappings of material and romantic success, and it’s only sometimes what you consciously choose. It’s your personal fate, and your soul dictates it, not your conscious mind.

It’s ironic that the author of this book uses the word destiny in the title but clearly doesn’t even understand its true meaning, the constant meaning that has been associated with the word since the ancients began predicting personal fate!

“…Helps you get in touch with the inexhaustible and natural flow of wealth. Once you tap into that flow, you can maintain and increase it indefinitely… You deserve to live a life of freedom, flow and trust.”

Increase wealth indefinitely? We teach, such as in our Direct Your Destiny e-package, how to make the most of your life. We believe you do have free will to reach destined goals, and those that fit within your personal karmic and fated plan. However, no New Age or spiritual authors, to our knowledge, have directly or even indirectly helped to produce any billionaires, ever, but today there certainly are a lot of millionaire snake-oil sales people, er, ah, we mean New Age inspirational authors. There exists personal limits in life and you can’t reach any particular goal unless it’s your fate to do so. If you don’t believe this, you would if you had done as much objective work in this field as we have. It’s impossible to deny the astonishing correlations between personal fate, karma, and past life regression work, well honed intuition, and the comprehensive numerology and astrology charts.

“Life is magical. It doesn’t have to be difficult. The universe that we each experience can be a luminous one. Your life can be all you imagine.”

We agree that life is magical, and as long as you have a great imagination, you can imagine anything you want. In fact, imagination is a great tool to help bridge the gap to reality. But those dreams will not become reality unless they are part of your destined path. The good news is that if you’re centered and grounded (regular meditation helps), you will naturally tend to draw your focus toward goals and dreams that are destined for you.

“One’s positive thoughts are powerful magnets that attract wealth, health, happiness.”

This is extracted from one of the biggest selling metaphysical books published in recent years. We’ve written about it in prior articles.

It’s unfortunate that this overly simplistic spiritual viewpoint, while denying all other conflicting spiritual laws, implies that people who suffer natural disasters or who die in plane crashes, for example, must have been low on positive thoughts that day.

Are these authors selling their souls to the devil to make a buck? Most of them likely mean well (we hope!), but just be wary of major life-changing claims. If it sounds too good to be true, it is.

Hey, we’re all for lots of inspiration, but if it’s not grounded in spiritual truth, ultimately it’s not going to be for your highest good. Do you now see why the New Age has earned a bad reputation?

Commercially-corrupted versions of spirituality are hot sellers because the packaging is captivating, the marketing is powerful, instantaneous credibility is given to almost anyone who appears in mainstream media, a sheep-herd mentality exists, and people have always looked for immediate gratification and quick fixes.

We recommend reading whatever you’re attracted to, as bits of wisdom and inspiration, often just what you need at the time, can be found in most books. But keep in mind that if the author promises, for example, a perfectly compatible soul mate or over-flowing financial abundance, these may not be your personal birthrights and such lofty goals are not going to be reached unless they are part of a person’s destined path. Everyone’s personal fate is different.

Within all self-help, inspirational, and spiritual books, we would like to see a one page disclaimer about the reality of fate and karma, and personal adversity, and how any promises the author makes aren’t applicable to everyone, or even anyone. But then again, perhaps it’s not everyone’s personal fate and karma to be aware of the concepts of fate and karma, despite their lives being ruled by them.

“I Don’t Believe in Karma”

Share Button

We’ve interacted with thousands through our work and often ask people if they believe in the concept of karma. Karma is simply defined as what goes around comes around, meaning you reap exactly what you sow, including (and perhaps mostly) rewards and challenges from past life actions.

About 60% say they do believe in karma, 15% say they don’t know, and about 25% say they don’t believe in it. We’ve concluded that those who don’t accept the concept of karma appear to reject it for one or more of the following three main reasons:

1) Some are simply more analytical, rational, of the if-I-can’t-see-it-it’s-nonexistent frame of mind and need proof. They don’t have a good reason to accept it, so they’re rejecting for now.

2) Some have misconceptions about the concept. They may mistakenly feel that karma is all about punishment, and since they don’t believe a higher power would punish people, they reject what they perceive karma to be.

Our work has convinced us that karma is not about punishment, but a spiritual law of energy; whatever you do and say, both “good” and “bad,” will return to you, even if you don’t believe that it will. This really is a universe of justice, but it understandably doesn’t seem that way to those who focus only on the circumstances of this lifetime.

It’s also common for people to think that karma only happens immediately, in this lifetime, but it often takes more than a lifetime to balance itself out. For example, it was not “his karma to be dumped” just because he broke up with someone else a year before. The act of breaking up with someone, by itself, does not incur negative karma unless it’s done in a negative way.

Another misunderstanding about karma is that many don’t realize that the more you try to balance karma yourself through negative actions, the more negative karma you’ll create for yourself.

Does that sound like too passive of a disposition to you? There’s nothing passive about changing what you can and letting go of what you can’t change, or that is not your right to change.

Yet another misconception about karma is that due to your subconscious and super-conscious self (soul, or spiritual self) being beyond your conscious personality, simply forgiving yourself or confessing your sins won’t eliminate your karma. While doing so, your higher-self is smiling and shaking its head, saying, “That’s one more circumstance you’ll have to experience directly from the receiving end in a future life.”

3) Another reason some reject the concept of karma is that they seem to have great difficulty in taking complete responsibility for their actions, would rather maintain a victim-consciousness, or refuse to admit the reality of their behavior. This group of people is likely to be in denial about things they’ve done or said and don’t want to face the possibility that they will eventually need to experience directly what they’ve inflicted upon others. No matter how good someone is at justifying their actions and convincing themselves of their own lies, they still must face the music of the karma they generate at some point in the future.

These types of people are less likely to do “the right thing” in all situations, especially when no one is looking. They assume, incorrectly, that if no one catches them, they can get away with anything. Based on our past life regression and astrology and numerology charting work, we’ve found that the eyes of truth really are always watching all of us, at all times.

What is doing “the right thing,” you ask? Ultimately, it’s treating others as you want to be treated.

But it’s not easy to fathom exactly how karma functions through traditional, earth-bound thinking.

A good way to envision how karma works is to imagine a spiritual tie to everything you say or do, like an invisible, indestructible golden link that only detaches itself from you once you finally balance, often unknowingly, the energy. Each time you’re born, your soul is still attached to all the golden links from previous incarnations and you deal with some of them directly in the current life according to what your soul planned before incarnating.

Whether or not you believe in karma, don’t do or not do something just because you “should,” or “shouldn’t.” Remind yourself you’re doing the right thing because you don’t want to deal with the repercussions at a later time, and more importantly, because we’re all in this together.

According to life-between-life research involving past life regression, souls can decide to stay on “the other side” rather than come back for another lifetime, especially if they’ve worked through all of their karma during previous lifetimes (which is very uncommon). Or they may decide to learn their lessons in other ways or help others on Earth from the other side. But apparently, most souls are eager to return to Earth to play the roles they were born to star in.

Know that this is not a personality decision. On a personality level, you might be dreading every day on this planet, yet on a soul level, you understand the more spiritual reasons for why you’re here and what you’re experiencing. Sometimes you are not supposed to know the big picture before the time is right, as there may be lessons in the process that wouldn’t be learned if you were fully aware of your situation. As you become more aware of yourself and your life, you may find yourself perceiving the deeper reasons for life’s experiences.

Most people cannot remember if they’ve been here enough already, but some with very strong psychic and mediumship abilities may receive strong impressions that this may be one of the last ones.

Of course, many people say this is their last lifetime, but how do they really know that? Perhaps they feel they are a very old soul, but that could just mean they took many lifetimes to get where they are today, not that they have balanced all necessary karma. Or maybe they may feel they’re ready to move beyond Earth, and that they’re spiritually aware enough to break the cycle of reincarnation.

Frankly, it often seems like wishful thinking in the hope that they don’t have to endure any more earthly challenges and can instead just enjoy life in “heaven.” We can relate to that, as life on this planet is not easy. In fact, it’s commonly believed to be one of the more difficult places to incarnate. The best way to make sure you finish your lifetimes here on Earth as quickly as possible and, eventually, enjoy more of the good things in life, is to “do the right thing” from now on, in every situation.

In reality, most people don’t know for certain if they’ve completed all of their karmic lessons or not, and on a soul level, they may already be planning out many more future lifetimes. Considering Earth isn’t the only place (or dimension) where people incarnate (there are billions of stars like our Sun with likely millions, if not billions, of inhabitable planets in this universe), and that life in this universe has existed for eons, it’s reasonable to consider that souls typically have more lifetimes than you can count, not only 300 or fewer as some Eastern religions suggest.

There seems to be some confusion in today’s society about what exactly creates negative karma. Based on our experiences with 1000s of past life regressions, here is what we’ve found.

Some actions that generate negative karma include the following:

*murder, even if you are not caught, unless it’s in self defense

*stealing, even if you are not caught and no matter how you justify it

*telling a lie that hurts someone else in any way, even if you are not caught and even if you believe your own lie

*intentionally hurting someone in any way

*not doing the “right thing,” subsequently causing someone else to suffer in any way

*resenting someone; your anger may cause you to be confronted with similar circumstances in the future until you learn to forgive and if applicable, take responsibility for your part of the conflict

*incurring addiction, if it hurts you or anyone around you

*disrespecting yourself to the point of personal harm (such as being a martyr); yes you can gain good karma by helping others through martyrdom, but you still may have to balance a lack of self-respect

Some situations that are oftentimes believed to produce negative karma, but do not, include the following:

*making, or otherwise acquiring a lot of money, as long as you do so honestly

*having a lot of money and not giving a lot away to charities; the world is not your responsibility, yet of course you gain karmic credits or in some cases, pay back karmic debts by helping others, and besides, it feels good

*lying to protect someone, as long as you’re not hurting someone else in the process, or helping that person you’re protecting to dodge taking responsibility for their actions

*breaking up with a partner, as long as you are not intentionally doing anything to hurt them them in the process; their resistance and difficulty with it is not your responsibility

*divorce, as long as you take care of your responsibilities and leave peacefully

*having sex without being married, as long as you do not intentionally hurt anyone (or yourself) in the process

*practicing non-monogamy, as long as you are honest with everyone involved, are acting responsibly, and do not intentionally hurt anyone in the process

*accidentally hurting someone in any way, but any guilt could cause you to experience a reaction in the future if you don’t let go of it

*homosexuality

*prostitution, as long as it’s between two consenting adults and you are not intentionally hurting anyone in the process

*exceeding the speed limit, although any associated guilt may create karmic ties

*having a few drinks, although if done regularly enough in excess, you’re disrespecting and hurting yourself, therefore incurring negative karma

*being a single parent or having a child outside of marriage, as long as you provide for the child and be the best parent you can be

*refusing to give in to others’ “shoulds” (“you should do this or that”); it’s your life and you know what’s best for your highest good; as long as you’re not hurting yourself or anyone else you’re free to live your life as you desire

By the way, confessing to a priest or praying for forgiveness will not excuse you from any negative karma you’ve created. Also, it’s debatable whether or not practicing self-forgiveness will completely get you off the hook, since your future karmic circumstances are determined by your soul, not your personality.

No one, no matter how psychic or spiritual they are, can cheat karma and avoid future negative consequences if they don’t “do the right thing.” Everyone needs to return to school house Earth (or a similar place) until they’ve resolved all their karma and paid all their dues. If you, at any time, do not “do the right thing,” in most cases, you’re essentially buying a round trip ticket back to this planet for another life to endure your tests again. Admittedly, “doing the right thing” sometimes seems all but impossible for many due to the forces of personal fate; people will behave in accordance with their level of awareness more often than not, not as they “could” to minimize karmic consequences, but at least you know that ultimately it’s up to you take the high road to avoid accumulating additional negative karma.

Everyone’s Birthrights Are Different

Share Button

We respect those who search for their own answers in relation to spirituality, the meaning of life, and the concept of fated personal circumstances and events. In our professional opinion, everyone’s birthrights are different.

Let’s define, in this context, what a birthright is. In simple terms, it’s what is owed to you, in a karmic sense (rewards and challenges); birthrights are the credits you’ve earned and the debits you owe from past life actions.

Contrary to popular belief and based on our research, we’ve found that birthrights aren’t automatic entitlements to the “infinite possibilities of the universe.” Free will exists, but total free will is only available to you in spirit form before incarnating. Why? So you can’t escape confronting the issues you’re meant to work through, and therefore grow and progress.

Popular New Age declarations such as “It’s your birthright to have whatever you want,” are inspiring and sound promising, but these statements are too often misleading and potentially damaging. Disappointment and feelings of despair and failure ultimately follow when the New Age adherent learns the hard way that he can’t simply erase his intense marriage problems and “create a dream relationship,” for example.

On the other hand, inspirational messages can be like fuel for those who are following their highest path, take the action necessary to reach their goals, work efficiently and purposely, and are destined to reach those goals. But inspiration may be only a temporary high, an escape from reality, for those who don’t take action to reach their goals, or more importantly, have not set goals that match their fate.

By the way, sometimes “failure” or not getting what you want is integral to important life lessons and even future success. If everyone “got what they wanted” all the time, what would the world be like and how would one distinguish between failure and success?

Alternatively, we wholeheartedly approve of feet-on-the-ground proclamations such as, “you can have anything your heart desires, as long as it fits in your karmic and destined plan.”

Successfully reaching important life goals demands diligent effort, not just pure inspiration and idealism. More important, to know what’s most fitting for you (and within your personal, unique karmic blueprint), you must first ask in meditation, repeatedly “who am I?” and “why am I here?” if you want to begin to make the most of your existence.

One person’s dharma (what one must do, in accordance with one’s karmic plan) might be to live a life having enormous power and influence, and another’s might be to learn humility and live a modest lifestyle. One person’s fate might include decades of deep romantic love, another’s might include decades of solitude (e.g., as a monk, in a religious order, or even in prison), perhaps necessary for his or her spiritual growth.

Remember, we’re talking about long-term plans, as in multitudes of lifetimes that serve higher purposes, not just about trying to get what one wants right now, in this life, such as the most coveted material aspects of the American Dream.

How do you know what your birthrights are? Keep asking yourself. Get to know your higher-self through regular meditation. Comprehensive astrology and numerology are great tools to help confirm your hunches.

Don’t be afraid of discovering that your personal earthly plan may not be as glamorous or seemingly rewarding as another person’s might be. Everyone has an important role in this world. Some are meant to make a difference in one person’s life, and some in many people’s lives, but all are part of the bigger plan and ultimately we are all in this together.

You Are The Only Lord of Your Karma

Share Button

While the concept of being able to free one’s self from challenging karma by “asking ‘The Lords of Karma’ for release…” is certainly appealing, we ask, what sort of karma does one expect to be able to dodge using this method? Ongoing conflict with a family member? Noisy neighbors? Habits relating to over-indulgence?

Or, perhaps one expects to be able to erase much more significant karma and be released from the following, for example: physical handicaps or serious illness; moderate income with lots of work and little free time to learn other skills; the demanding burden of family members, like problem children or an ill parent who needs your constant support; being financially trapped with a spouse who does not give you what you want and who won’t change; or repeatedly attracting unfaithful and hurtful love interests.

One must first identify their personal karma if they truly want to know that they really did eliminate it without balancing it directly. How do you know it is your karma in the first place? We find comprehensive astrology and numerology to be the most effective way to measure karma and its timing. From our perspective, if significant karma really was removed from one’s life, it would be identifiable in the charts before it was removed, as important life circumstance and events are consistently symbolized by comprehensive charting patterns.

What we are saying is, all too often, we hear of people talking about “erasing karma” (often times they refer to future circumstances that they claim are “just possibilities”). In all the cases we’ve reviewed, we’ve asserted that it wasn’t their karma to experience in the first place after finding zero indications of the said “karma” in the charts, so they really didn’t erase anything.

We are very interested in hearing about karma that anyone claims to have successfully bypassed without having to directly balance. We are constantly searching for evidence that would challenge or invalidate our theory that everyone’s life is full of unalterable karmic events and circumstances. So far, we have found none.

For the record, as we state on our web sites, we contend that at least 75% of the key themes, events, circumstances, and happenings in everyone’s life are predestined. We also feel that everyone has their own unique “karmic framework,” within which only the desired outcomes that fit within those boundaries will be able to be manifested. Yes, the universe “always says yes,” and yes there are “unlimited possibilities” in this universe, but only on a soul level as you plan your next life before you incarnate into this dimension, where spiritual and karmic laws can’t be compromised.

We admire those who strive to heal and improve themselves, their relationships, and other parts of their lives, but we would like to remind everyone that many of the complications and challenges of life serve a higher purpose. It would be nice if you could just erase what you don’t like, but then that would defeat the primary purpose of being here.

It goes without saying that we feel the “Lords of Karma” concept is a myth. You are the only lord of your own karma. Most, if not all respected experts in the area of reincarnation, karma, past life regression, and life-between-life, based on years of unbiased research, agree.

We are disappointed that some promote the “Lords of Karma” concept because it encourages avoiding taking responsibility for one’s actions. No one gets a “get out of jail free” card, no matter how much they pray, lie, deny, or bargain. Ultimately, everything you do, say and intend will come back to you.

Furthermore, nobody “grants” you “ascension” or anything else and a talented writer saying something is so doesn’t make it so. We find promoting such baseless concepts irresponsible and frivolous.

You can’t live healthfully on a 100% junk food diet just by asking the Lords of Health to help you bypass health challenges.

You can’t be fluent in Japanese simply by asking the Lords of the Japanese Language to give you that ability.

You can’t sober up after downing 5 stiff drinks just by asking the Lords of Sobriety to free you of intoxication.

You do have free will to accept your karma, both the good and the bad, to forgive yourself and others, which will make it easier to deal with, and to react positively with unconditional love to the conditions and events in your life. But there are no simple wave-your-magic-wand solutions, despite what many New Age promoters cheerfully advocate.

Talking About Karma With Your Kids

Share Button

First, let’s define karma. Karma is energy, intent, and action. It’s put into motion in the present and you feel the effects now of the karma you’ve created during many, many, many past lifetimes. Karma is a spiritual law that affects everyone, just as gravity is a physical law that affects everyone. It’s not something you can change immediately, just as you cannot alter the path of an approaching tsunami.

Instead, everyone has free will to react to karma. Plus, doing the “right thing” in all situations will prevent incurring additional negative karma. Some people claim to be able to alter or delete karma without having to directly balance it. We would like to believe it’s possible, but conclude after 24+ years of study in this area that it’s impossible, and we’ve never seen anyone actually accomplish this. We’re not talking about frivolous things, such as deciding to avoid a main highway during a rush hour snowstorm, thus skipping two hours of anguish. We’re referring to key life circumstances and events, such as relationship and money issues. We’ve asked people who make such claims exactly what the karma was that they altered or deleted and how they knew it was their karma to begin with, and we have yet to hear a reasonable, straightforward response.

It’s very important to note that just because you don’t get what you want in a particular situation, it doesn’t mean you have “bad” karma. Fate determines how your life unfolds. You then have free will to make the most of all situations.

How you perceive situations can make a big difference. For example, if one of your daughters didn’t get into a college that she applied for, you might say it’s “bad karma.” Instead, it could be viewed as something that wasn’t meant to be. Perhaps she was meant to follow a different career path.

Many kids encounter difficult circumstances like romantic interests treating them poorly, personal attacks from other students at school, or the countless other challenges that they have to work through. The traditional meaning of karma supports the idea that there are no victims, and though it’s true from a spiritual viewpoint, that may sound a little harsh to a young person. Alternatively, while providing emotional support and guidance, suggest they consider that the challenges they work through now will help make them stronger, if you’re not already doing this.

The best approach may be to allow your children to hold whatever beliefs about life they choose, yet also occasionally make helpful suggestions and offer guidance when appropriate.

Finally, try to encourage them to get in touch with their inner-selves through the practice of meditation (or artistic hobbies or cardiovascular exercise, to name a couple more ways). Becoming more aware of their inner guidance will help them be more aware of their optimum choices in all situations. Handwriting analysis is also a very useful tool to help identify hidden, subconscious fears and defenses. Self-knowledge does wonders for improving one’s life.

For the skeptics, even if karma and reincarnation didn’t exist (these concepts have yet to be proved invalid), encouraging kids to act as if they do helps them to  understand the importance of taking responsibility for all their actions and doing the right thing in all situations.
