Finding Your Perfect Career

Share Button

One of the most common questions we receive is “What should I do for my career?”

Some are studying toward a degree and questioning if it’s right for them.

Some didn’t have parents or mentors who helped them develop interests other than TV, sports, or video games, or they were urged into unwanted careers.

Others want us to tell them what to do. They are so used to following directions and pleasing everyone that they have forgotten about their own inner needs and interests. This is an area where you need to be a bit selfish.

New Age “life purpose” marketing is popular today. For example, one “guru” says, “Knowing your life purpose is the first step to attracting great wealth and changing the world!”

Mythical assertions like this lead people to believe that their most fitting life purpose automatically leads to a high paying career. Unfortunately, we’ve found that not everyone is destined to have “the ideal job” and, or be rich. However, everyone has free will and can make the most of their circumstances, talents, and interests.

Many people are unhappily employed and have no idea what to do. Perhaps life has overwhelmed them, they are stuck in survival mode, and forgot about their passions and dreams.

Here are four tips if you don’t know what to do for a career:

1. As many successful people have said, follow your passions. What you “should” do, your highest path, will likely make your heart sing. Think deeply about what you’re passionate about, what you’re good at, and what you love to do. Somewhere in there lies what you “should” do with your life. Then your task is to figure out a way to make money with those things.

2. Learn to meditate. Then, ask these two questions every day in meditation: “What are my passions and talents and how can I use them to best serve myself and others?” “What is the next step for me in my quest for a fulfilling and successful career?”

3. Once you define a definite career direction, seek out a mentor who has been successful in a similar career.

Note: despite claims to the contrary by New Age marketers, not everyone is meant to be a self-employed entrepreneur. The rate of failure for American businesses, for example, is 90%. For on-line marketing, it’s 95%. It may be that you are best suited to be in a partnership, or even part of a large organization.

Keep in mind that your passion may need to remain a hobby while you pay your bills working a tolerable job. On the other hand, if you’re creative and it’s part of your path, you may be able to find a way to make money doing what you love. Also, sometimes you need to go through a longer process of trying different options, some of which may be needed to develop skills for a later career.

4. Comprehensive astrology and numerology, handwriting analysis, tarot and intuitive, and other types of readings can tell you a great deal about the career that is most suitable for you, and even give you significant clues about how or where to find it.

By the way, some people actually believe that to be truly spiritual you must provide “selfless service” and not put your interests ahead of others. If you want to be a martyr, fine, but we strongly discourage this because you can’t serve others in the best way you can unless you’re also serving yourself in some way.

Stunning Peak Into the Number 9 and Numerology

Share Button

Numbers relate to quantities (“party of 3”), as well as qualities (“she’s number one”).

Personality traits, timing trends, and key events in your life are astonishingly and consistently represented by number symbolism, as empirically evidenced through the ages.

Although the mere mention of numerology in today’s “if I can’t touch it, I don’t believe in it” society easily induces a wince, years of objective observation of distinct patterns comprised of multiple indicators in the comprehensive numerology charts (reflecting life circumstances) leaves all doubt behind. Back up the theories with a system of checks and balances including astrology and handwriting analysis, and you have reason to be confident with your hypotheses.

Below we outline the uniqueness of the number 9.

1. The number 9 is one of several unusual numbers in that it is very unpredictable. Just like 7, 11, 22, 33, and others, while under collective timing symbolized by its energy, for example, things often don’t go as expected. In fact, a common theme includes events unfolding from out of nowhere, collapsing all hope of things going as you would have liked.

2. One thing that can be expected with the number 9 is endings. Although you might be able to rise above the conditions symbolized by the number 7 and detach from challenges, there is no way getting around the conclusions represented by the number 9. When it’s over, it’s over, and the energy of the number 9 can painfully remind you of that fact of life. No amount of inspiration can override this and change fate, unfortunately.

3. Those with heavy 9 energy usually appear to be natural leaders. Yet leaders need firm convictions, and a hidden uncertainty of their true principles is one of the biggest problems with the number 9. 9 can talk a good game, but when things are on the line, that inner vagueness and ambiguity pops up and can result in disaster, particularly in politics or other high-profile positions.

4. A related issue is problems with integrity. A theme is those with heavy 9 having a “do as I say, not as I do” way of living life. Things are so obscure in 9’s world that bending the rules doesn’t seem inappropriate, as long as that feeling of compassion and understanding of the highest good of mankind is present, as if the heart connection and intent matters more than actual behavior.

5. Nervous tension and anxiety attacks fall under the 9’s domain, as do problematic emotional issues. Take it easy under heavy 9 timing, or you’ll have a rough ride. Best advice is to take a detached, yet understanding approach to things, and also drop your expectations of how you want things to be, even though your demands might seem to be reasonable.

6. One of the best things about the number 9 are the inherent rewards. The benefits can be through your love life, career, fame, family, friends, or money, and they are often vast. One thing to keep in mind though: under heavy 9 timing, the good life experienced is unexpectedly cut short, post 9 timing. So live it up, by all means, but keep it in perspective. If it seems too good to be true, it might be. A reliable numerology software program like Numerology Decoder can help you understand your basic timing and personality.

7. If you have exceptional sympathy and tolerance, think of how much better your life can be. Nothing really bothers you, and everything is beautiful. You can’t seem to lose, and your gratitude is like a never ending river of opulence, gifting you with a wondrous life. This is the number 9.

Stunning Peak Into the Number 11 and Numerology

Numbers symbolize quantity. Numbers also symbolize qualities, as through number symbolism, better known as numerology. The number 11 is one of the most popular topics in basic numerology due to the unique energy it represents.

Below are ten things you need to know about the number 11.

1. Chances are the number 11 has been emblematically connected to unusual experiences you’ve had. For example, seeing apparitions, hearing strange voices when nobody is around, having visions of future occurrences, and prophetic dreams are all related to the number 11 and numerology (and other spiritual numbers). The connection is through your natal and timing numerology charts and, or universal timing charts.

2. It’s not mundane at all, it’s symbolic of very unusual energy. 11 is one of the most spiritual numbers–it’s very other-dimensional. 11 is the link to the unseen realms. If you were to list numbers most associated with the energy of Spirit (or the Divine, God, etc.), the number 11 would be on that list for sure, as would the numbers 7, 9, 22, and others.

3. 11 isn’t easy in relation to health. It fosters a hyper-sensitive nervous system and physical body. Those who have it in abundance most often have to moderate their diets and lifestyles to cope with the heightened sensitivity. Staying grounded is imperative for those with excessive 11because there’s a tendency to be out of body more often than not, and that tends to energetically separate the native from the physical self, causing bodily stress, even health issues. Being elsewhere yet here at the same time makes for a more challenging earthly existence. Regular meditation and healthy habits help to deal with this problem.

4. Everybody has a distinct collection of hundreds of numerological natal and timing indicators in their comprehensive numerology charts. If 11 dominates your charts, it’s very important to you. Unfortunately, the more of it you have, generally, the more challenges you have in life (yet opportunities for spiritual growth and advancement). It’s an unpredictable, inexplicable, and mysterious other-dimensional number and frequently clashes with ideal of smoothly running, everyday affairs. It’s a wild card and even though those with a lot of it have greater burdens than average, they may also be more experienced than average as an incarnated soul and have enough wisdom to deal constructively with their fate.

It’s a “Master Number,” and so are all double digit numbers, including 22, 33, 44 55, 66, 77, 88, and 99. “Master” relates to the need to overcome steeper challenges than those symbolized with other numbers, yet they also hold more promise for achievement, relative to the collective energy in your personal charts. They could just as fittingly be called “Danger Numbers.” A reliable numerology software program like Numerology Decoder Software will correctly calculate your Master Numbers and tell you where you have them in your basic chart.

5. It’s common for those with heavy 11 in their charts to have a greater amount of charisma and recognition in their life. Alternatively, infamy, if the charts support it, is typical with the number 11.

6. Unfortunately, on the low side, number 11 can be connected with duplicity and betrayal, as well as crime and insanity. It’s not an easy vibration to deal with in this mundane world.

7. It’s also characteristic for those with lots of natal or timing 11 to have greater financial challenges in life. Heavy speculative risk is to be avoided at all costs under strong 11.

8. Bi-sexuality and homosexuality are very common in association with the number 11. If you had to equate the number 11 to an astrological sign, the sign of Aquarius is the most fitting, although it’s not a mutable sign, and 11 is certainly a mutable (i.e., varying, inconsistent, volatile) number.

9. Distorted idealism is common with excessive 11 energy. An example is extreme religious and, or spiritual beliefs. “True believer” fits the energies associated with the number 11.

10. To their credit, those with heavy number 11in their natal and, or timing charts have potential for unequaled spiritual awareness and vision, being prophetic messengers of divine spirit. But it’s important to realize that the 11 energy has to be supported by other spiritual vibrations to manifest positively.

2016-2018: Start of Major Financial Calamity for World’s Economies

Share Button

Could the U.S. and the rest of the world be headed for a dire financial crisis, one that could even dwarf the most recent economic downturn, which is considered to be the worst since the great depression?

Although we mostly avoid mundane predictions such as international policy /economic concerns and earthquakes, and focus instead on private individuals and business consulting, since the late 1990s we’ve repeatedly noticed distinct, extremely off-putting cyclical timing patterns (negative or positive extremes are easy to spot) in the comprehensive charts of countless individuals and entities that alert us to a specific period of time in the future.

We’ve been saying for years that we believe the period of 2016-2018 is the start of an overwhelming financial crisis, possibly much worse than the 2000/2001 stock market collapse, and the 2008/2009 credit crisis. 2016 appears to be the peak of the financial markets and economic escalation, with the giant reverse beginning as early as 2016 and as late as 2018, but more likely as late as 2017.

An aside, from our perspective it’s much, much easier to assess financial prospects of individuals versus financial markets, corporate entities, entire economies, etc.; during economic calamities some individuals fare worse than others, and the degree is reflected in the patterns of their unique comprehensive charts including the checks and balances of our systems of analysis. The red-flagged time-frame of 2016–2018 has appeared over and over in so many charts that we have to bring it to your attention.

Please note, to be taken seriously, in our view, any professional making mundane predictions must list all public predictions–the ones they got wrong and right, on their website. No one is 100% accurate, but there must be a clear record of their successes and failures. Unfortunately, highlighting the hits exclusively and fabricating the successes is all too common in the professional psychic industry (and financial investment industry).

Our view is that there will be temporary downturns during the next major long-term upswing in the financial markets, which we believe will start as early as late 2010. By late 2011, the U.S. financial markets will have begun a dramatic, long-term escalation, but of course you will see occasional, now-common, heavy volatility along the way.

If you find yourself asking from 2011 through 2015 if a particular financial markets’ correction is the culminating collapse that will finally lead to feasible government policies (unlike the current ones) being put into action, it won’t be. You’ll know when the concluding crash happens and you won’t have to ask. It will be that big.

We believe that between 2011 and 2016-2018 will be known as the roaring teens period for the financial markets (especially the U.S. markets), and thus for the world’s major economies, and that many people will forget about the fact that booms frequently end in busts, especially when the foundation of the recovery is built on unsustainable economic policies.

What will cause the disaster in 2016–2018?

What’s currently happening in Greece may foretell the imminent. The Greek government has been spending and borrowing way beyond its means for years, is being suffocated by debt, and is all but bankrupt. 25% of the Greek workforce are government employees and many have fat pensions and full retirement benefits: 14% of Greeks are government early retirees (at age 50 for women and 55 for men), with the average retirement age of 61. Unfortunately, too many Greeks have become used to excessive government entitlement programs and since such programs have to be downsized to deal with economic reality, they are outraged.

Why Greece Isn’t Really Saved

Although many financial experts are now saying the Greek Tragedy has been averted with a financial rescue plan by the International Monetary Fund and the European Union, Simon Black, Senior Editor of the website SovereignMan, says, “…anyone with two brain cells to rub together recognizes that Europe’s economic woes cannot be contained with more paper money… and now the problem just became $1 trillion worse.”

“Battling back from an economic crisis requires hard work, savings, and minimal disruption from the government. There’s no magic pill, entitlement program, or paper money bomb that will suddenly make things better.”

“Instead, governments should be curtailing social benefits that encourage people to be lazy, while simultaneously stripping taxes to the bare bones in order to give entrepreneurs and investors the proper motivation to work hard, take risks, and hire employees.”

“These things are not happening, nor will they ever happen in the foreseeable future. And so, backed by Europe’s trillion dollar pledge, Greece will likely go back to business as usual… spending money that it doesn’t have, and making its problems exponentially worse.”

The U.S. is on the Same Path

Even though the European debt crisis may appear to be under control by the end of 2010, it’s to be expected that Europe, including Greece, America, and Japan are heading for a financial brick wall with government spending and regulations out of control and funny-money solutions. The causes of previous financial crises mirror how politicians are handling the problems now, which will only serve to create the next crisis.

Although the overall message we relay here isn’t very optimistic, everything is cyclical, and there will be more prosperous times after the coming financial catastrophe we speak of. We believe that the U.S. won’t cease to exist for at least another 200 years, and the U.S. will likely shock many with its resiliency and subsequent economic triumphs.

The root (or at least a major part) of the next financial calamity, as outlined above by Simon Black, now seems obvious. It is clear to us that the world’s governments will not have the foresight or ability to act and change the path we’re on until after the next huge disaster.

Just keep this in mind when the financial markets are soaring in the upcoming years: When things look too good to be true, remember that they usually are. Capitalize on the trends, but avoid excessive risk.

Numerology and Sex: Numbers Personified–1-9 on a One Night Stand

Share Button

Numbers symbolize qualities, as well as quantities. It’s optimum to have a balanced expression of any given root number 1 through 9, but the under-balanced and over-balanced forms are just as common, especially as it relates to human behavior.

Most everyone is familiar with the association of the day of birth, for example with specific personality traits. But our objective, empirical research since the 1980s has convinced us that the symbolism of any single numerology indicator is negligible and must be supported by the other hundreds of indicators in the comprehensive charts to actually represent life circumstances and events.

For example, whether or not a 7 day of birth or a 7 Life Path (the modern numerology term for the sum total of the full date of birth) corresponds to destructive energy (extreme over or under-balanced) such as alcoholism or paranoia, or balanced energy such as teaching or spiritual or scientific work, depends on the collective energy of the rest of the charts’ factors.

Even though we strongly recommend that you avoid relying on only one or a few indicators for any sort of analysis (unless you’re one of the few professional psychics who has that very rare, exceptional talent of being able to consistently and accurately use very basic touchstones, such as numbers, for insight), personifying each of the root numbers 1-9 helps you understand their related energies.

In this article we offer extreme examples of out-of-balance forms of each root number in order to demonstrate how they would conduct themselves in a one night stand situation. We recommend not reading any further if you don’t believe sex is spiritual and natural, or if you are offended by sexual references.

You can find out more about the energy of each root number 1-9 with our Numerology Decoder software.

1:
“Do what you want with me,” he says. “Being your sex slave makes me happy.” Later, further souring the mood, 1 says, “I’d expect it wasn’t good for you. I tend to be worthless.” His date quickly tires of his lack of self-esteem and substantial self-doubt and wonders how anyone can be so pathetic.

2:
“Do you feel it? Even though we just met, we’re already eternally connected –and I won’t let go, ever,” she says. Her lover feels ill-at-ease, as if there are invisible tentacles wrapped around his entire body. “Don’t worry, I’ve only had a couple lovers in my life,” 2 says, while crossing her fingers behind her back and secretly scheming how she’ll extract what she wants, even to the detriment of her new lover.

3:
3 wakes up next to his new lover and feels an overwhelming sense of guilt. They had the craziest sex all night long, but now he can hardly stand the shame thanks to his very religious upbringing, which conditioned him to believe that sex is only for procreation, and that it’s a religiously sanctioned act, bound by strict rules. He carefully gets out of bed while she sleeps, quickly dresses, dashes from the apartment, and cranks up the music on his i-pod to help him forget about last night.

4:
Pushing 4’s lover onto the bed, it’s as if 4 is in the midst of a wrestling match instead of sex. “Take it easy!” 4’s partner says. “You’re being too rough.” 4 boasts, “My friends don’t call me ‘the machine’ for nothing. You don’t like it rough, fine, how about we get really crude instead?” “I’m out of here,” 4’s date says, hurriedly dressing and making an escape.

5:
“Do you do this often?” 5’s new lover asks as they lay in bed. 5 just offers a charismatic smile, and shrug, silently thinking, “This lover is number 3000, so I better celebrate this momentous occasion.” 5 then reaches for the bottle of tequila.

6:
“The last time I did this, it turned into a 5 year relationship,” 6 breathlessly utters as she gazes into her new lover’s eyes. Not being one to love them and leave them, 6 says, “Hey, how about we make plans to get our families together next weekend–I think it’s wrong to not have a family get-together at least once a week, and besides, we’re going to be together forever.”

7:
7 can’t stop analyzing last night and he marvels at the other-dimensional contact achieved while having sex. “Mind-blowing,” he says to himself. Although he realizes that not everyone can read their partner’s mind and know exactly what they’re thinking, can’t they meditate more often? And can’t they bring more intuition to the bedroom? He then decides to do a spiritual cleanse to clear out any toxic energy he picked up last night.

8:
“This could end up being very fruitful,” 8, the aspiring Hollywood actress, thinks to herself as they arrive back at the producer’s luxury home. “Sure, I like sex, but I love money, status, and power more,” she’s thinking as she quickly figures out exactly how to play this situation to her advantage.

9:
“Hey, the more, the merrier,” 9 says to his new lover. “I don’t mind if your roommate joins us!” 9’s lover is impressed with his humanitarian, live and let live spirit. Enthusiastic and passionate, 9 makes a great lover, but 9 will slip through your fingers if you try to possess it.

2012 and the Mayan Calendar–7 Myths

Share Button

Remember “Y2K?” Consider the noise surrounding 2012 and the Mayan calendar to be similar.

The alarmists and poetic New Age opportunists who promote their tall tales while tugging at your heart strings with “heart-centered” communications will move on to other things in 2013.

Yet another correction in the financial markets will probably take place in 2012, along with extreme weather conditions around the globe and other calamities, but none of it will be any more out of the ordinary than any other year over the past several thousand. Even if E.T.s landed on the White House lawn in 2012, it wouldn’t have anything to do with the Mayan calendar.

Do yourself a favor and refuse to accept feel-good prose mixed with half-truths and outright myth as fact. Escapism and Hollywood-esque science fiction isn’t “spiritual,” it’s just a means for profit for the New Age snake-oil salespeople while taking you on a ride to nowhere.

We highly recommend fact-checking everything in films/books centered on 2012 and the Mayan calendar. Stories of catastrophe and doom sell and there’s a huge market for such misinformation.

7 Myths surrounding 2012 and the Mayan calendar:

1. The New Age 2012 authorities speak of “transcending many of the worst prophecies already…” (and if you buy their next book and attend their seminars, you can transcend the others too).

2. The “future of humanity” is not at stake and there is no “critical crossroads, evolutionary jump and shift in consciousness, and radical transformation,” in connection with the Mayan calendar and 2012.

Humans have always been spiritually progressing for eons, and everyone’s evolution is unique and transpires at various rates. For some, the year 2012 may be a very important year, for others not at all. And that goes also for the years leading up to and following 2012.

Additionally, as humanity moves beyond each decade, century, and millennium as reflected in our modern calendar, there always have been and always will be adjustments and shifts of varying degrees (e.g., year 999 to 1000 AD): they are gradual, and represent different things to everyone depending on their unique personal charts.

3. The Mayan calendar (Tzolkin) has not predicted “…every eclipse (and other astrological phenomenon),” as some 2012 exploiters claim.

4. There is no “galactic alignment, occurring for the first time in 26,000 years.” At this time, Earth is approximately 30,000 light years from the center of the Milky Way Galaxy. Also, viewed from Earth, the Sun will only appear to be in the center of the Milky Way, and this “alignment” happens every winter solstice (yawn).

5. Your “spiritual parameters” aren’t dissolving at this time (leading up to Dec. 2012) to allow you to “create the reality you want…” That’s just another false-hope-for-profit scheme.

6. “Everything” is not leading up to 2012 and things are not “coming to a head.” The magnetic fields aren’t weakening, the Sun has not “already lost its poles,” and the Earth’s poles aren’t melting any more than at any other time in recorded history.

7. The Mayans said nothing about disaster and doom, financial or otherwise in relation to 2012. The recent financial crisis has nothing to do with the Mayan calendar and 2012–it’s an extremely tenuous link.

The Mayan calendar is a perpetual calendar, it had to end/start over again at some point, and it isn’t the most accurate calendar when you compare it to others throughout history.

December 21, 2012 is merely the first day of the Mayan calendar 13th “b’ak’tun” (144,000 day cycle), and when a new 5,125.37 year (1,872,000 days) cycle begins. Just as we begin our modern calendar (which is a more accurate time keeping system than the Mayan calendar: http://tinyurl.com/yzqyxar ) on January 1st, the longest cycle in the Mayan calendar starts anew every 5125.37 years.

Prediction is all about pattern recognition. In order to establish a reliable pattern you have to note every time there is a significant, regular juncture in the cycle. In this case, the Mayan calendar, it’s every 144,000 days (394.3 yrs. in our modern calendar), or every 5,125.37 years for the longest Mayan calendar cycle.

However, you must look at multiple cycles/indicators (Scott relies on over 500 in his systems of analysis) to get reasonable accuracy rates, in particular how the universal cycles relate to you personally (personal cycles).

At the start of each 144,000 day/394.3 yr. Mayan cycle, you’ll find these years in our modern calendar (besides 2012), going back in time: 1618; 1224; 830; 435; 41, etc.

Notice that none of those years coincide with any of the most significant financial crises in recorded history, as outlined below?

*Tulip craze/collapse of mid 1600s
*South Sea Company craze/collapse early 1700s
*Railway mania bubble in mid 1800s
*Stock market crash of 1929
*Dot.com crash of 2000-2001
*Mortgage/credit crisis 2008/2009

(The Great Railroad Bubble is one of history’s worst financial collapses: Speculators in Britain spent more than 25% of GDP, the equivalent of $4 Trillion today.)

It could very well be that we’ll see another financial markets/credit collapse in the near future (e.g., 2016/2017); everything is cyclical, including boom to bust financial cycles, and they have nothing to do with the Mayan calendar.

The 2012 story-tellers who exploit an impressionable audience’s thirst for escapism should be seen for what they are: myth propagators and profiteers.

We believe that end of the world scenarios and Mayan “prophesy” that promises ruin and transformation for all of humanity are 100% entertainment. It’s deplorable that so much New Age content is full of fabrications and falsehoods. It’s just an opiate for the uninformed and adds to the colossal body of evidence that exposes the bulk of the New Age industry as a racket.

“…(the interpretation of 2012 as a doomsday or ‘cosmic-shift’ event is) a complete fabrication and a chance for a lot of people to cash in.”
Sandra Noble, executive director of the Mesoamerican research organization

“There is no serious scholar who puts any stock in the idea that the Maya said anything meaningful about 2012.”
David Stuart, director of the Mesoamerica Center at the University of Texas at Austin

Numerology: Numbers Personified — 1-9 on a First Date

Share Button

The root numbers 1-9 each symbolize unique qualities and are expressed in various forms, including balanced, over-balanced, and under-balanced energy.

The specific form of the number expressed depends on the symbolic support or mitigation of the other hundreds of considerations in the comprehensive personality and timing numerology charts.

Let’s say a person has a 9 Life Path (a popular modern numerology indicator, which is the sum total of the full date of birth reduced to a single digit). The expression of that one single factor hinges on the collective energy of the others. An over-abundance of 9 energy throughout the comprehensive charts represents a 9 Life Path that may play out in an over-balanced way, such as in excessive sensual gratification. If there’s a lack of 9 elsewhere, then it may represent a too impersonal disposition, for instance.

Although any single factor in the numerology charts is almost meaningless by itself, personifying each of the root numbers 1-9 can help you understand their related energies.

Below we detail how each root number would conduct themselves on a first date. Note: we are emphasizing the over-balanced or under-balanced form of each and you can find out more about these extremes with our Numerology Decoder Software.

1:
“I just closed on a seven figure business deal and I’ve out-negotiated the competition, once again,” says number 1, making sure her date understands just how achievement-oriented she is. After obviously attempting to one-up her date each time they relay a personal experience or funny story, 1’s date tires of the connection and calls it a night after an hour into their first meeting, making a mental note that there will be no second date.

2:
2 asks his date if she would like to hold hands as he scoots closer to her on the park bench. Still secretly with his girlfriend, but telling his date they have broken up, 2 masks his deep resentment about his current relationship and says with a smile, “I’m the most accepting and non-deceiving person you’ll ever meet.” While thinking of how he’ll lie to his girlfriend about where he has been all day, he says “I can’t stand dishonesty in relationships.”

3:
“Wooo hoooooooo!,” 3 hollers. “Bring it on!” Taken aback, her date says “Well, when I said that I’m easy, I meant I’m easy-going.” 3 frowns, quickly changes the subject by asking about her date’s day at work while smacking her gum and twirling her hair. 3 then looks down at her smart-phone to read an in-coming text and suddenly laughs at a joke she remembers hearing. Before her date can answer her question, she says, “Oh, did you hear about what (fill in blank for Hollywood star of the moment) said about (another Hollywood star’s) cosmetic surgery (laughs uncontrollably)!?” 3’s date is pleasant in response, but inwardly groans and feels a major headache coming on from 3’s energetic fireworks.

4:
“No, I will not have the salmon, I want the steak or I will leave the restaurant,” 4 sits bolt-upright and complains to the wait staff, who answers, “Sorry sir, we are out.” 4 insists on leaving and while walking from the restaurant, explains to his date the importance of proper business planning and execution, which the restaurant is lacking. “So what do you want to do for dinner?,” says 4’s date. “Something practical. How about we go to my mother’s and grab some leftovers from her fridge?”

5:
“Look, this bar is way too loud, let’s go back to my place where we can relax and talk,” says 5. Back at 5’s place, while her date is in the restroom, 5 calls another date and tells them she’ll be over in a couple hours, then texts yet another date and asks if they are still on for tomorrow, all while downing two tumblers of booze. “Here’s your drink,” 5 says with a smile and loads of charisma, handing it to her date, thinking of the best approach to quickly get them into her bed.

6:
“I’ve always been in serious relationships and have only been single for about 3 months of my entire adult life,” says 6. He takes his date to a formal dinner because “It’s the right thing to do,” and asks “Wouldn’t you like to see a law requiring everyone to be married by age 30, and stay married for life?”

7:
7’s date looks at her and wonders what she’s thinking since she has hardly said a word all night. It’s like she’s physically here, but the rest of her is off on some other planet. Painfully challenged with small talk, 7 finally gets the conversation going as she elucidates on the irrelevance of peer review in scientific research.

8:
“So, what did your business do last year, pretax?,” 8 blurts out. Always quick to spot an opportunity for gain, he later says “You know, I’m a heart-centered person and I would never be a gold-digger, but I think it’s a good idea if we get serious in our relationship–oh, and by the way, I don’t believe in pre-nups.” (Unless it’s his money, of course.)

9:
“No, I’m not drunk,” 9 says to her date, as she sips her second jumbo margarita, reaches again for the tortilla chips and accidentally spills the contents of her purse on the floor. “I’m in the middle of writing a novel and I’m under a lot of pressure, so it feels great to let my hair down!” “Anyway,” 9 says as she exudes compassion, “I thought we could go and volunteer at the shelter tomorrow since I’m always up for a good cause.”

Avoid Vedic/Sidereal Zodiac Astrology Trap

Share Button

Avoid the astrology trap of using the Sidereal zodiac exclusively (or practitioners who do) or risk vast inaccuracies.

You’ve always thought that you had a Sagittarius Sun sign, but then you’re confused when a friend shows you a “cooler” form of astrology, one which totally changes what you thought you knew about your basic natal chart. You think, “How can I have a Scorpio Sun?” You don’t.

Sidereal zodiac (the zodiac of constellations) advocates will tell you, “…but Sidereal is the ‘oldest astrology,’ it’s the basis for Hindu astrology!”

While it is the basis for Hindu astrology, functional Chaldean and Greek predate horoscopic Hindu/Vedic/Jyotish/Indian, and evidence shows that Hindu horoscopic astrology borrowed heavily from these cultures.

You’re not alone if you’ve fallen for a smooth-talking Internet marketer telling you that she’ll help you fix all your problems if you buy her products and services based on the Sidereal zodiac. Her getting testimonials from big, recognizable names (who happen to use the same publishers in many cases) means that she has a good P.R. machine, that’s all.

How to Escape This Trap

We recommend using the Tropical zodiac (and practitioners who do) instead as the primary zodiac. This is the zodiac of Western astrology and it’s what you’ll find at most non-Eastern astrology sites.

While we’re sure there exist talented astrologers in India who rely upon the Sidereal zodiac and have shaped their systems to be efficient in the real world, we have yet to encounter an American, European or other Western astrologer who uses the Sidereal zodiac exclusively and offers even consistently semi-acceptable accuracy rates.

If the practitioner who uses Sidereal is very psychic and, or has developed their own unique, reliable system using it, then perhaps they might be able to obtain consistently high accuracy. But our experience since the 1980s tells us that they don’t exist in America or anywhere else in the Western world.

Your “Real” Signs

It must be said that you won’t find your “real Ascendant/Rising sign” (or “real Sun sign,” or “real Moon sign,” etc.) by using the Sidereal zodiac.

Make no mistake: you won’t find out “…what sign you really are…” using the Sidereal zodiac (basis for Hindu/Vedic/Jyotish/Indian astrology), and it isn’t the “…true zodiac.” Don’t fall for this nonsense.

Sidereal Zodiac Origins

Usage of the Sidereal zodiac is from an era when practitioners had an inadequate understanding of the realities of our planet and solar system. It was already developed (in a very rough form) before the origins of horoscopic astrology.

The origins of the actual precise astrological horoscope (horoscopic astrology), which includes the Ascendant or Rising sign, etc. is traced back to Hellenistic Egypt (about 330 BC – 30 BC). Prior to this time (when the Hindus adopted horoscope astrology), our findings show that Hindu astrology was essentially an ambiguous spiritual philosophy, without distinct means for explicit delineation and prediction.

The Hindus borrowing the functional horoscope, which includes the Ascendant/Rising sign, from other cultures is certainly acceptable, but using the Sidereal zodiac in conjunction with it results in some technical concerns, as outlined below.

The Sidereal Zodiac system is based on fixed stars, hence the problem. We attach importance to the fixed stars, but we don’t like how the Sidereal system links the degrees of the Ecliptic to them.

The True Ascendant

The true Ascendant (Rising sign), in our opinion, is where the Eastern horizon intercepts the Ecliptic. This is so in the Tropical zodiac system, but not the Sidereal. Using that system, due to the current 20+ degree difference between the zodiacs, you’ll likely have a different Ascendant, Sun sign, and Moon sign, among other differences.

Precession

Due to precession, there exists the current 20+ degree discrepancy between the Tropical and Sidereal zodiacs, but it’s only a concern with transits and other superficial timing indicators. The natal calculations are absolutely valid under Tropical, in our opinion. Anyway, you can always adjust Tropical zodiac transit charts, lunar return charts, solar return charts and other methods that are altered due to precession.

Complicated Forms of Astrology

Furthermore, while the techniques of Hindu, or Vedic astrology are said by some proponents to be “more complicated” than those of modern Western astrology, they aren’t more complicated in the least than the collective methods of ancient astrology, including those of Chaldean, Greek, Egyptian, Arabic, and others.

Real Astrology Symbolizes Personal Fate

The more deeply a practitioner objectively explores the science of astrology, instead of trying to find ways to manipulate life to one’s desire (e.g., “getting astrologically unstuck and finding and keeping the love of your life”), what is really discovered is that the comprehensive charts symbolize immutable fate–predestination. Although you can’t turn your charts into a magic genie who will grant all of your wishes, self- understanding, thus acceptance is obtainable.

We accept Sidereal zodiac astrology as an alternative, yet we believe the Tropical zodiac is optimum for precision. We recommend you seek out astrologers who are well-versed in the Topical zodiac, which is the basis for Western astrology. Also, due to proven, more reliable methods, you’re better off hiring astrologers who favor ancient rather than modern astrology, as we’ve detailed in many articles.

Modern Astrology Folly, part III

Share Button

Imagine, an astrologer (who is widely known and seen as an “authority” in modern astrology circles) tells you, “You have potential to be a famous actor. But if you don’t strive to become one in the right ways, you’ll wallow in obscurity.”

Translation: that astrologer is hedging his bets and making his refusal or inability to do accurate assessment of personal fate your problem, unfortunately.

No legitimate professional in this field boasts 100% accuracy. The best an analyst or reader can do is offer their perspective and if they happen to be wrong once in a while, that’s acceptable. But to shroud one’s advice in New Age political correctness to the point of making it impossible for anyone to get direct answers to their questions is irresponsible.

Our empirical studies tell us that if someone is destined to become a famous actor they are fated to become a famous actor and will become a famous actor. Also, if someone is destined to serve in a modest support role in the play of life, that’s what they will do, this time.

We’re all for using modern-focused methods such as transits, secondary progressions, solar and lunar returns, and the more funky, creative, newer techniques (even though we’ve found many of those to be pure nonsense), as a means to firm up an existing comprehensive analysis based on tried and true ancient methods. However, to put the bulk of the emphasis on the modern methods and philosophies only invites vast inaccuracies, our research has consistently shown us.

You Only live 100,000 Times or More

If you look at your life as the result of multitudes of lifetimes and not just one (“You only live once”), it makes more sense why some seem to “have all the luck” and some don’t. It’s how you view and handle your circumstances that really matters.

Don’t worry about missing that one right “choice” that could potentially make all your dreams come true. Fate doesn’t work that way. You can relax, because if it’s meant to be, it will be. Keep forging ahead, make informed decisions, follow your heart, do what you need to do, and you’ll get to where you’re fated to be.

Psychology, Consciousness, & Modern Whimsy

Modern astrologers say they are excited about the astrological developments during the last century or so. They name Jungian psychology (being mixed into the science of astrology) as “groundbreaking,” yet we’re convinced it’s largely a way to sidestep real issues, like personal adversity, including poverty, and other life concerns connected to personal fate. Don’t get us wrong, we appreciate psychology when it’s approached constructively, but not the way many modern astrologers abuse it. You can’t interpret the charts through fuzzy psychological thinking and expect valid results.

“Progression of consciousness…” is a way of claiming that times have changed to the point where “…multi-dimensionality alters our realities beyond stoic fatalism…” We feel that this view is completely false and a poor excuse to deny that predicting personal fate is possible. It’s pure subterfuge and typical of the sort of skewed creativity modern astrology promotes to mask the original purpose of astrology (prediction of personal fate), which isn’t as marketable and profitable in the New Age.

Herd Mentality and Modern Methods

Furthermore, having 1000s of practitioners of modern methods, some of whom periodically gather for conferences through the organizations to which they belong, means very little as far as credibility goes. They may all pay $50 or more each year to belong, but it only means that they all share similar beliefs (e.g., denial of personal fate), and that they all largely go along with one another’s radical astrological creativity.

There is an abundance of people who favor modern methods, just like there is an abundance of modern astrological entertainment, excuse us, literature, on the shelves of book stores (next to the trashy tabloid magazines). Why? Because they’re taking the easy way out, at your cost. What sells well doesn’t have to be valid, it only has to be appealing and poetic or sexy, according to the whims of modern demand. No wonder the New Age has a bad reputation.

In conclusion, we recommend you maintain a sharp sense of discernment in dealing with modern, New Age methods and have the courage to go against the grain of conventional thinking. In doing so, you’ll have a huge advantage in your quest for spiritual awareness.

Modern Astrology Folly, part II

Astrologers enamored with modern methods claim that astrology must “…promote human freedom…” and that ancient astrology “…is not aligned with modern times…”

Instead, our findings tell us this: modern astrology’s psycho-speak, trippy subjectivity and softened-up-reality-to-the-point-of-distortion drives you to cloud and misjudge reality and tells you what you want to hear. The escapist and fly-in-the-face-of-truth inspirational babble of modern astrology makes it easier to sell books and drawn-out counseling sessions through its exclusive application. This is by design.

Ancient astrology calls it like it is, pointing out the hard, cold realities of life and giving you infinitely more clarity.

There’s nothing “limiting” about ancient methods involving astrology (and numerology) other than helping you limit delusional thinking.

The revered astrologers and number mystics of days of old wouldn’t be amused if they learned what has become of these ancient esoteric sciences.

There is no room for political correctness in delineation and prediction, and you have to wonder about those who promote such programs. Distorting the foundation of a body of science (based on empirical observation) to make it sexier, more appealing to the masses, and adhere to a sales target and philosophical agenda is a crime against those who worked so hard to develop the practices since the dawn of humanity. This tragedy has been occurring during the last 100 years or so. The truth will eventually come out, and we are happy to be a part of the process.

Although, thankfully, the world is moving towards equal rights for all, not everyone is born with the same levels of ability and the same amount of karmic reward in life. Your soul (not your personality in this life) may have chosen steep adversity in any number of life situations, yet being promised a magic solution, an imaginary escape through feel-good astrological poetry, is preposterous and snake-oil marketing at its worst.

Most Core Life Experiences Are Fated

The Led Zeppelin song “Stairway to Heaven” notes “…there’s still time to change the road you’re on…” and there is in some cases (which is likely fated too in our view), but remember our theory that at least 75% of all life circumstances-the main stuff, the core events of your life-are predestined.

Some have asked if it’s possible to use that remaining 25% to create whatever you want, no matter what, and if it would alter the rest of your personal fate. While we do believe it’s possible to “create” within the framework of your fate, we’ve noticed through empirical research that no one, no matter how aware or spiritual they are, can change the major conditions that are fated (and predictable) in their life. You certainly have free will, but it will not allow you to sidestep destined experiences. “Creating reality with your thoughts” only goes so far.

Outrageous Claims by New Age Marketers

We understand that our convictions contrast with some of the “experts” on the best-seller lists, such as those who claim “anything is possible.” Without having actually done the intuitive/psychic work and, or work involving comprehensive charting with astrology and numerology to test the “anything is possible” belief–we’ve found no other ways to properly examine the idea that immutable life circumstances exist for everyone-you must ask yourself how any ethical person in their right mind can make such wild claims as “infinite blessings are available to you–all you have to do is read my book, pay for my seminar,…” et al.

By declaring that the law of attraction alone was responsible for creating something, yet not having thoroughly examined if that something was already fated to happen, you must ask yourself, how can the author of The Secret legitimately make such claims? What about the many people who have bought the book or seen the movie who gave it their all in the context of The Secret guidance, but couldn’t manifest what they wanted? What is the author’s response to those people, besides holding them accountable, e.g., not “believing” enough, or ignoring an additional angle to The Secret that they must investigate for another $19.95?

Trap of Using Modern Methods Exclusively

Astrologers who move beyond modern methods eventually discover that a huge amount of information, past, present, and future, about your life can be seen in the comprehensive charts.

Those who don’t move beyond modern methods and philosophies speak of fate and destiny as two different concepts: “Destiny is just potential and fate is what happens if you don’t make an effort to reach your destiny.” In this line of thinking, the term destiny is made inspirational and fate is designated as something to be avoided at all costs. This is false and misleading, of course, and it’s the type of pull-the-wool-over-your-eyes, creative language that steers you away from truth.

Personal Adversity is Necessary for Growth

Such an approach inherently denies the necessity (spiritually speaking) and unavoidability of varying degrees of personal adversity. Destiny and fate show up in the comprehensive charts as the same thing, we’ve found, and we believe anyone who tells you otherwise may mean well, but ultimately is merely reading poetry to you instead helping you to constructively face and deal with the actualities of life through constructive analysis of your charts.
