7 Signs You Are Captain of Your Destiny and Fate is Not Real

Share Button

The fate vs. free will argument has been around for eons. We believe you have free will to make the most of your fate and even shape it, but not how you may think.

The motivational and self-help marketplace is full of well-intentioned professionals promising to make you the captain of your destiny. You can do anything you put your mind to, anything, they say. All you have to do is work hard, believe in yourself, and follow their advice.

We’re all for inspiration, but we like it to be rooted in reality.

Very few in that industry will concede to the concepts of reincarnation and personal fate. After all, you only have one life, they say. Others claim you’re just a body and brain with no soul. Fair enough–everyone is entitled to his or her opinion.

Unfortunately, if the motivational advice doesn’t work, a follower will feel like a failure, not understanding that outcomes depend on fate and that the journey is just as or more important than the goal.

The definition of fate, in part, includes events and circumstances in your life that you have no control over and cannot change. It’s pretty straight forward, but we’ve encountered many people who deny this basic concept or alter the definition to fit their agenda.

Are you in complete control of your destiny? Below we list seven signs you are the captain of your destiny.

1. You’re able to control the choices and actions of others–what they think, say, and do. You never face any insurmountable obstacles in your interpersonal interactions because you’re the master of your reality. Your superhero cape is as beautiful as you are brilliant!

2. Your health and that of everyone you love is like that of an Olympic gold medalist swimmer. There are rarely any physical limitations or illnesses to distract you from living the dream life you demand. If you ever do encounter any, you cure it with your magic wand and then go on to have the best year ever!

3. Despite clear evidence to the contrary, you believe you control your subconscious mind. All those hidden fears and defenses (e.g., arrogance) don’t bother you, and you never screw up because of them.

4. You’ve never experienced anything but success in your career. Every money-making venture you’ve undertaken has turned to gold, exactly to your high expectations. Nobody ever blocks your plans or projects because everyone knows you are the CEO of your existence and to do so would be an affront to the power of the universe. All you have to do is get in touch with the abundance of the universe and it’s yours, right?

5. All your relationships, including early life, family, romantic, and professional are completely harmonious. There’s no resistance, strife, or negativity. It’s common for you and all your loved ones to spontaneously break into song about the perfection of your relationships.

6. Every time you travel, nothing goes wrong. Delays, cancellations, bad weather, rip-offs, and other travel problems are for other people, because you are the controller of your reality.

7. Whenever something unwanted or unexpected happens in your life, you wave your favorite motivational book at the problem and call out, “I am the wizard of my reality! I command thee to go my way!” Magically, things do go your way because you create everything in your life, exactly to your tastes.

Unfortunately, nobody has super-human powers that will change their preordained fate.

Sometimes it may seem like you changed your fate, but the change was destined, as was using your free will within the framework of your fate.

We believe you can make the most of your fate and you can even shape your future fate (i.e., your fate in future lifetimes) by how you respond now to people, events and conditions in your life.

You can’t eliminate your fate, but you can do your best, which will optimize the rewards and limit the challenges in your life.

9 Examples of Passing Your Spiritual Tests

Share Button

Are you passing your spiritual tests? We believe everyone frequently has the opportunity to pass spiritual tests, and in the process create a better world and good karma for the future.

Sometimes it’s not easy, but if you do the right thing and respond with honesty, unconditional love, and tolerance, you’ll pass the spiritual test.

Don’t feel bad if you sometimes fail a spiritual test because everyone is here to learn and that’s part of the process. As long as you make an effort you will reap the benefits in the future.

Below are examples of how to best handle spiritual tests.

1) While out with a group of friends, several of them gossip about a woman across the crowded bar, judging her for being “easy.” You happen to know her and that she’s a very kind person. Instead of keeping your mouth shut in order to keep the peace, you speak up, defend the woman, and call out your friends for projecting their sexual shame onto her.

2) You’ve tried to get along with that coworker of yours, but he always manages to push your buttons and strike when you least expect it. Instead of striking back, you detach, try your best not to take his actions personally, and accept him for the jerk that he is.

3) While shopping one day, a man walks by and accidentally drops his wallet full of cash. He looks loaded and you could really use the money, but you remind yourself that you’re not entitled to a stranger’s money unless they give it to you. You pick up the wallet, run after him, and hand it back.

4) Your ex-husband treated you horribly, but you never speak badly about him in front of the children, even though you’re aware that he does. It’s painful at times, but you hold your tongue and remind yourself that they’ll realize the truth when they’re older.

5) You have the option to lie about your sexual orientation and date the opposite sex, but you decide it would be selfish and unfair to deceive someone in order to hide your true orientation. Instead, you gather your courage, care less what others think, and live your life the way you really want to.

6) You fell out of love with him years ago. Instead of staying because of the money and having an affair with the other man you’ve fallen for, you’re honest with your husband and set him free so he can find someone more compatible.

7) You’ve experienced a lot of racism and you have no tolerance for it. However, when an acquaintance is accused of racism and you know it’s not true, you defend her. You understand that it would be unfair and unwise to use anyone in an attempt to stop racism.

8) A coworker and friend is accused of something she didn’t do. You know the truth, but if you speak out, it could jeopardize your job. Instead of saying nothing and allowing her to suffer, you tell your boss the truth.

9) You’re in love with your girlfriend but one day you check her phone while she’s in the shower and discover she’s been cheating. You have the opportunity to expose some nasty secrets to her boss and get her fired, but you know that revenge would only create negative karma. Instead, you bite the bullet, accept her infidelity and that it will take you some time to get over the betrayal and pain, and move on.

Make those spiritual tests more easily identifiable and tolerable, identify subconscious fears and blocks, and much more with our Direct Your Destiny e-package.

Reincarnation: 7 Past Life Circumstances Influencing Your Net Worth

Share Button

According to the theory of reincarnation, your past life behavior has a lot to do with the current state of your finances today.

Most people are acquainted with the basic concept of karma: whatever you do now will come back to you in the future, though our findings show it’s more likely to come back to you in a future life.

Anti-prosperity thoughts and actions from past lives have much more of an impact on life circumstances than most people realize.

This isn’t to suggest that the legions of people on this planet struggling with poverty and hunger were terrible people in past lives. Nor do we mean to imply that being wealthy is always a karmic reward or is always preferable to more moderate means. We don’t believe in a judging God that punishes you for your sins or hands out rewards. The poor and disadvantaged (their souls, not their personalities) may have chosen to experience hardship for any number of reasons.

Below we list seven sample past life circumstances that have a significant bearing on personal net worth in this life:

1. “It’s a sin to be rich. Poverty is next to godliness,” said the devout monk in the 5th century monastery. It was a way of life for him and he carried the philosophy forward into several lifetimes.

In this life, he’s an artist, and although he’s talented and just as devoted to his craft as he was in days of old, the same mindset about poverty covertly poisons his financial state. He may consciously desire more money, but his subconscious belief about how being rich is a sin plays a major role in his lack of financial success.

2. In her most recent past life she struggled against a wealthy competitor and became convinced that rich people are evil. She carried that conviction to her grave.

Today, she’s once again an upstanding, honest individual, yet can never get ahead financially: her subconscious will do anything to keep her from becoming rich because it believes that if you are rich, you are evil.

3. In a series of past lives, her wealth included vast responsibilities, which became a deadly burden.

Today, she has a hidden fear that wealth leads to demise through heavy obligations, so her unconscious mind keeps her poor.

4. She gambled away the family estate in a past life, and today she’s excessively driven to be financially successful. However, no matter how much money she makes, her spendthrift family members keep her from maintaining a significant net worth.

5. He abused his position of power as a 3rd century meddling bureaucrat and negatively affected many industries.

He’s still paying back the karma. His main gripe today is that those in power make too much money and are blocking his career success as he barely survives, paycheck to paycheck.

6. She was very wealthy in a past life, but bandits targeted her castle in a raid and murdered her family. She died holding the beliefthat if she had only been of modest means, her family would still be alive.

Today she can’t seem to break out of the middle class, no matter what she tries.

7. Military nobility in ancient times and through recent centuries, such as the elite Japanese Samurai and most classes of European warriors in the Middle Ages, detested merchants.

A soul that thrived in warrior lifetimes, while consistently despising traders, has decided to incarnate, in part, to learn more about non-military callings. Unfortunately, his time in the corporate world is fraught with battles involving some of the same merchants he loathed and worked against in past lives, curbing his financial success.

Although our findings show that personal fate is the number one determinant of financial standing, we believe negative, karmic thought impressions (also sometimes part of immutable fate) carried over into this life also have implications.

The Truth About Rewriting Your Soul Contract

Share Button

The notion of rewriting your soul contract is about eliminating life’s challenges and getting what you want in a snap. We believe it’s impossible to rewrite your soul contract, though you do have free will to respond positively to it.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful to suddenly live the life of your dreams and never again have any challenges? We applaud you for going after your dreams, but challenges are part of life. Without them you don’t learn and grow.

We can hear it now–legions of New Age enthusiasts calling for our heads. We get lots of hate e-mails due to our writings, but we insist on telling you the truth about what we’ve found on our spiritual journey since the late 1980s, rather than pandering to you to increase sales.

Our role may not be to deliver inspiration, but we strive to offer spiritual truth.

The notion of rewriting your soul contract is marketed in the spiritual arena as a cure-all to life’s problems, like waving a magic wand. The claims span from slight life alterations to instantly eliminating massive burdens like terminal diseases.

Carnival barkers will always exist, but aren’t you glad you have people like us to remind you of reality?

We acknowledge that a positive attitude, faith, and gratitude can work wonders in dealing with life’s problems, but unfortunately, you must work through your karma to balance it. There is no magic bullet.

By all means, do everything you can to overcome life’s challenges, aim high, and enjoy life to the fullest, but don’t be disappointed if you can’t avoid the approximately 75% of fated circumstances and events in your life.

Below we list five things you’ll have an easier time doing than altering your soul contract:

1. Become instantly sober after drinking several alcoholic drinks. Just pray to the Booze Gods and ask for forgiveness. What’s that, you say, they’re not listening? You’ve got to pray harder.

2. Look exactly like you did when you were age twenty-one, at age fifty. Just pray to the Youth Gods and get your grove back.

Actually, you can look far younger than your age. Use your free will and discipline to do anti-aging exercises like yoga and high intensity interval training (rather than long-distance running, for example), and avoid consuming things that age the body, like sugar and junk food.

3. Is someone in your life driving you crazy? A neighbor, coworker, your boss, or a family member? Get rid of them, legally and within spiritual law, by calling on the Exile Gods and they’ll be gone in minutes.

4. Quickly have a rewarding and lucrative career, without the hassles of any training, advanced degrees, major set-backs, or hard work! It’s easy and simple! Just pray to the Life Purpose Gods and they’ll make sure you get whatever you want!

In reality, you do have free will to follow your passions and develop and share your talents. If your career path is destined to earn you a high income, that’s a bonus, but wealth is secondary to how you deal with your spiritual lessons.

5. Take your relationship back to the honeymoon phase, even if you can’t stand the sight of each other!

Fortunately, you do have free will to make the most of your love life. Sometimes that means accepting someone as they are, admitting your faults and, or moving on.

Life demands discipline, effort, and patience, and there is no easy way out of your soul contract, even if you make daily contact with your spiritual guides.

What about people who decide to make changes and then overcome difficulties? We believe the options to overcome the difficulties and their efforts were destined. They did not “create” anything that wasn’t already part of their contract.

Sometimes you need to endure difficult times, as harsh as that may sound, because the spiritual reasons outweigh the mundane. Some spiritual lessons are easy, some are rewarding, and many are challenging.

How you embrace your lessons is vital. Even though you can’t completely rewrite your soul contract after reincarnating, detachment, acceptance, faith, gratitude, confidence, and joy make it much easier to deal with it. Do the best you can and you’ll pass your life tests with flying colors.

Our Direct Your Destiny E-Package offers an easy way to relax, release, avoid stress, and know what is the next best step in any situation to help you more effectively deal with your soul contract.

How to Get What You Deserve in Life

Share Button

A friend recently told us that he is waking up to the fact that what you think you deserve may not be what you merit, and that it’s a hard lesson to learn.

Although he’s considered successful by almost everyone in his professional and personal life, it was instilled in him early on in his life, and during school, that he deserved the very best. The sky was the limit and he believed it.

Yet as the years went by, he couldn’t break into the six figure salary realm no matter what he did in his career, and his personal life wasn’t free of the challenges that he thought that were beneath him.

In time, as he grew wiser, he realized that his expectations were too high, his income isn’t necessarily a reflection of who he is as a person, and he accepted that what he earns may not equal what he felt he deserved.

Tips to Prevent the Hard Lesson of Finding Out That Getting What You Deserve is Less Than The Best Life Has to Offer

1. Begin to accept that you might very well have exactly what you deserve, at this time. What you think you deserve is your opinion, a completely subjective viewpoint. Set important goals in life, strive every day to achieve them, and know that the journey is often more important than the result.

2. By all means, keep dreaming and dream big, but keep your expectations in check.

The world needs taxi drivers, cooks, construction workers, house-keepers, and other workers. Such professions are as honorable as any other, and your career doesn’t make you more or less equal to anyone; everyone is of the same spiritual essence. How you view your situation can make a significant difference, and in a spiritual sense, things aren’t always as they appear in the mundane world.

For example, someone in a seemingly unimportant job may have an extremely important spiritual role in the lives of people around her. Likewise, someone who society deems a prestigious professional and makes millions per year may be, spiritually speaking, a beginner soul who is not learning his lessons.

3. Accept what you can’t change, but do everything you can to enhance your life and get more of what you want. Develop a detached perspective; do your best to avoid judgment and be grateful for as much as you can in your life.

4. Avoid an excessive sense of entitlement. There is no such thing as inequality. Life is not supposed offer equal outcomes (equal rights and opportunity are another matter).

5. Take glorified inspirational messages in mainstream media and entertainment with a grain of salt, such as the one in the movie “Superman, Man of Steel,” which went something like this: “Superman came to Earth to empower people to rise above all challenges, to become empowered to fulfill their potential and avoid the limits that society places on them.”

Nobody is holding you down, and nobody places limits on you, unless you live in a communist country. Life will always include personal adversity and you have free will to make the most of it.

6. Stop living beyond your means. If you think you deserve the finest life has to offer, you better avoid spending like it unless you have the cash, not credit, to do so. Otherwise, when you find out you don’t deserve the finest life has to offer and lack the cash to pay your bills, you’ll have credit problems.

7. Practice humility, which is spiritual. A humble person never has the shock and disappointment of finding out she’s not the center of the universe, and that she isn’t entitled to what she previously thought.

The good news is that even though you can’t always get what you think you deserve, life becomes more enjoyable when you focus on being grateful for what you have in life instead of what you lack.

Take This Quiz–How Do You Get to Heaven

Share Button

How do you get to heaven? Will you be turned away? Take this short quiz and find out.

Answer “yes” or “no” if you’ve ever done any of the following: cursed; eaten meat; enjoyed any of the finer things in life, such as designer clothing or expensive meals; used numerology, astrology, tarot cards, or consulted a psychic; listened to and enjoyed music other than religious music; failed to attend religious services on a regular basis; questioned your religious leader; danced in public; been intoxicated; worn clothing that revealed your legs; worn platform heels; worn clothing of the opposite sex; looked at porn; touched yourself in an impure manner; had sex for the purpose of satisfaction rather than reproduction; had sex outside of marriage; had a sexual dream about someone other than your partner; had a homosexual experience; received or fantasized about receiving, either directly or indirectly, money for sex; paid for sex, either directly or indirectly; had an open relationship; divorced.

If you have done any of the above, congratulations! You’re human. None of these actions generate negative karma.

Next, consider if you’ve ever done any of these things: condemned others for being homosexual, bisexual, transgender, or of a different race; lied; cheated; manipulated or intentionally hurt another; stolen something.

These actions directly above, among others, create negative karma and you’ll have to balance it, eventually.

How do you get to heaven? Or for that matter, what about hell? Does it really exist? In all of our past life regression and life-between-life empirical research over the last 25 years, we’ve never seen any evidence of hell.

However, a small percentage of people who have experienced NDEs (near death experiences) have reported they perceived a place that seemed like hell, complete with people being tortured and an evil presence.

Were those people really in hell, and did they not get the “how do you get to heaven” memo?

In our opinion, in each case we’ve seen or read about, it seemed to us that it was a situation where their guides and subconscious mind created an illusion that would help them to straighten out their life, their mind created a vision based on their religious programming, or it was the result of experiencing lower astral planes, sometimes due to a drug overdose or other factors. Interestingly, in many of these cases, when the person yelled out to a higher power, like God, to help them, they immediately left the place that seemed like hell.

Rather than a final destination that’s reserved only for the religious elite, heaven seems to be a temporary place where all souls go after death of the body in order to review, rest, learn, and plan for the next incarnation.

As for the question, “how do you get to heaven,” our findings show that, in general, if you treat others as you want to be treated, you will create positive karma and future experiences that are closer to heaven on earth.

What Everyone Ought to Know About Redemption

Share Button

The Oxford Dictionaries defines redemption as “the action of saving or being saved from sin, error, or evil: God’s plans for the redemption of his world [in singular] a thing that saves someone from error or evil… the action of regaining or gaining possession of something in exchange for payment, or clearing a debt… the action of buying one’s freedom: soldiers who were captured had to seek redemption [as modifier]: serfs began paying redemption dues… ”

Two assassins are talking about their work and the associated burdens and one of them says, “Sure, I’ve killed many people, but I’ve also saved many lives. Have you ever asked yourself, at the moment of judgment, or whatever happens after death, is there anything that could redeem us?”

It’s a very common question: is it possible to clear the heavy karmic debts that you’ve incurred in this lifetime?

Our answer is, it depends. It may not even be a karmic debt in the first place, even in the case of terminating someone’s life.

In the case of the two assassins, considering they are under contract to eliminate only individuals such as terrorists who intend to harm civilians, we believe the assassins are free of any related negative karma.

Just as it’s acceptable in a karmic sense to squash a mosquito, or eradicate parasites from your body, it’s perfectly okay to kill terrorists, those who have killed and fully intend to kill more American (or European, or Thai, etc.) civilians, for example. Kill a terrorist, save multiple people (or even just one person) in the process, and you balance out your karma, in our educated opinion.

Alternatively, if an assassin is in the business of killing people who merely got on the wrong side of an outlaw, for instance, like in the case of someone with gambling debts, we believe it’s likely the assassin will incur the related karma. Although it may be fate that the gambler was supposed to die that way, and the assassin was supposed to carry out the hit, karma will probably still be incurred, in our view.

However, is it possible that the assassin who knocks off the gambler won’t incur any negative karma? Yes, we think so, because in our past life regression empirical research we’ve witnessed cases where so called horrible acts were committed, yet no karma was incurred, either because it was payback time and the final chapter from past lives, or there was some sort of karmic exemption, since that’s how all the key players set it up before incarnating.

In the case of warriors on the battlefield slaughtering each other, based on our findings, we believe there can be some sort of spiritual “war exemption,” agreed to before incarnating, that frees the soldiers from the heavy spiritual burden; they won’t be forced by their higher-self to be murdered again and again for each battlefield kill. Note: for those who say “war doesn’t have to happen,” we disagree–there will always be alternating periods of war and peace, just like you will never be able to avoid all disagreements and contention between two very different people. Besides, there will always be very bad people on this planet, no matter how much you pray for peace.

Do guilty feelings reflect and even contribute to karma? They can, but a total sociopath who feels no guilt at all is still accruing karma on a regular basis.

For those of you who believe that you have sinned and are damned to hell, you still have time to at least work toward redemption by making up for negative acts with positive ones. Even for those without major sins, helping others however and whenever you can on a small or large scale is always a good idea.

Why Inequality is Not What it Seems

Share Button

“Income inequality” has been a popular topic in the news lately. Some say that those who make more money should give to those who have less to “even the playing field.”

From the standpoint of karma and reincarnation, there is no such thing as inequality. Life is not supposed offer equal outcomes (equal rights are another matter). Everyone is experiencing what they need to for their soul growth and, or for karmic reasons; like it or not (and we risk angry e-mails every time we mention this), you’ve earned much (not all) of the “good” and “bad” in your life through your past life actions.

We’re all for helping the disadvantaged with intelligent and reasonable solutions, but in our opinion, confiscating large portions of wealth from those who earned it legally, just because they have more, is unfair and it will also create negative karma. To demonstrate how we think forced wealth distribution is a bad idea, here are some similar solutions to some of life’s other inequalities (and often karmic circumstances).

Looks. Effective immediately, all good-looking people must wear bags over their heads and contribute to a cosmetic surgery fund for the appearance disadvantaged.

Weight. Everyone who makes an effort to exercise and eat healthily must stop. They are also required to eat a quota of junk food and drag the unmotivated to the gym.

Style. Do you always manage to look your best? Not anymore. You now must dress sloppily and refrain from any form of hair or clothing improvements.

Friends and family. Do you have great friendships or a loving family? Sorry, it’s not fair because many don’t. From this point forward, you must include the socially disadvantaged in your circle and do things to offend and alienate family members.

Grades. It’s wonderful that you’ve worked hard to achieve that stellar GPA, but you’re making others feel scholastically inferior. Your grades will now be shared with those who haven’t made an effort or people whose memories are not as photographic.

Boobs. It’s not fair of you to show off what you were born with or bought. Anyone caught doing so will be fined and forced to contribute to a fund to help the less endowed.

Love. How dare you! You’re happily involved when so many aren’t. You must now either share your relationship with someone less fortunate, or end it forever.

Money. Are you angry that you have less than the “fat cats?” Do you think they are greedy and should share their wealth with you? You have a lot more than the truly poor in impoverished, third world nations, so from this point forward, you will be required to share a large portion of your income with those less fortunate people.

Author J.K. Rowling went from poverty to billionaire status with her books and movies. Does anyone in their right mind call her prosperity in the free market, a fair exchange with willing fans, a “social injustice?”

If you “have not” and are furious at the “haves” (and we’re not talking about the “have”-thieves; the vast majority of “haves” are honorable) it’s likely that this “inequality” is karmic for you. Guess what you were like in a past life? Life doesn’t owe you, it’s perfectly fair, and nobody deserves a “participation trophy” just for showing up.

Envy is ugly. Be grateful for what you do have and do what you can to help others with your time, wisdom, or in other ways. The good karma will come back to you.

Watch Out For Psychics Who Say “Nothing is Set in Stone”

Share Button

Recently, someone e-mailed the following feedback and question about fate, free will, and psychics to us:

“First, I want to say that the older I get the more I believe you are right that the major events in our life were planned by us before we reincarnated. While many may find this frustrating and not want to believe that they don’t have total control over their future, I actually find it comforting.

“There have been many times in my life where I have put forth great effort professionally and personally and things just didn’t work out despite how hard I tried. It’s actually comforting to a large extent to know that those things just weren’t meant to be and there is a larger plan for me.

“Unlike other people who may find your philosophy off putting or limiting I like knowing that the next step or steps in my life are inevitable (if I understand you correctly) as long as I put one step in front of the other and take action and do my best along the way.

“I wanted to ask though, I have been to psychics before and many of them have been quite accurate in predicting events in my life though their timing has been off, why is it that many psychics believe that the future is not fixed and free will can change anything? This actually frustrates me when they say this because I don’t agree!

“Major events in my life have unfolded despite my ‘free will’ and efforts to change them. I just don’t believe things are ALWAYS in my control. You would think a psychic would realize this? Why is it so many don’t?”

Our Response

We believe it’s important to always proactively take appropriate action and assertively strive to reach your goals, yet also realize that the belief of being able to entirely “control your destiny” is largely futile and an ego-self construct.

Directing your destiny is about taking the most appropriate action (free will), which is innately part of your destiny, and also directing your future life destiny through doing the right thing now–destiny is something that extends beyond this life, into future lives.

As we always recommend, keep forging ahead in the direction you feel is optimum.

We believe the major events in your life are predestined, as is meeting the major players. The minor ones may not be, unless they influence you greatly. For example, if you have a “chance” conversation with a stranger who gives you information that leads you to significantly change your life direction, that was likely destined. You then used your free will to achieve your destiny; you moved in that direction and made those choices because they felt like the best options (such decisions hardly seem like “choices”).

You would think that most psychics would tell you that many of your future life circumstances, events, and conditions are set in stone, if they really can predict the future. However, many of them don’t, for one or more of these reasons:

1. They don’t know any better.
2. They don’t want to disappoint you.
3. They don’t want to believe it themselves.
4. They want an excuse as to why their prediction didn’t manifest and it’s easier to blame it on the faulty “nothing is set in stone” myth, or you for “not taking the right path” or “not trying hard enough.”

So what do you do? Keep doing everything you can to reach your goals, yet take comfort in knowing that there is much in life that you can’t alter or avoid, and that your energy is better allocated toward embracing and working with your fate instead of attempting to override it.

Worried She Will Miss Her Destiny

Share Button

We received the following question recently:

“What happens if you don’t take action at the right time to manifest your destiny? Does this mean you will miss it? Or miss important events in your life? Will the opportunity present itself again at a later time?”

Based on our empirical research, we believe that at least 75% of the core events, circumstances, and conditions (rewarding and challenging) in your life are predestined. That means those things will transpire no matter what.

To make an analogy, if you miss an exit ramp and that opportunity is passed up, that exit was only part of the 25% that really wasn’t part of your core predetermination. If it, or rather the lessons related to it, were part of your path, something similar will present itself, in time.

Children and Fate

If you are meant to be a parent or mentor for a particular soul, it will happen even if you are unable or choose not to have your own children. The soul will find you through adoption, as a niece or nephew, or perhaps as a neighbor. The bond will usually be special from the beginning, and you’ll both likely recognize the significance.

Career and Fate

If you are meant to influence people through a certain type of work, it will happen even if you don’t consciously plan it. It’s likely you will feel passionate about the work, and sharing it with others will give you pleasure and be something that you just feel compelled to do. The specific form of the work may not be destined, but if it’s meant to be, you’ll somehow get the message, technique, or lesson out to the public.

Love Relationships and Fate

If you are meant to enter a serious relationship during a predestined window of time, you will. That is not to say the relationship is guaranteed to be all that you expect and desire it to be.

If you’re already involved, yet are meant to meet another soul mate, perhaps because your current relationship has expired even though you’re still going through the motions, a marriage certificate or commitment will not prevent destiny. You have free will to act responsibly and honestly, although we’ve witnessed time and time again the swift current of predetermination making a mockery of marriage vows.

If a person has very challenging love life karma, it could very well be their fate to endure excessive anxiety about it. Regrettably, those with challenging love life karma may strong-arm a partner into a “permanent” relationship, then when it falls apart, blame their partner. Enduring romantic satisfaction just isn’t part of their personal fate. However, generating gratitude and acceptance of what they can’t change (which tends to foster happiness) is always an option.

How You Know Which Path to Take

Whichever action feels most right, that you naturally take, especially that which you all but can’t help but take, is part of your fate. Even the apparent mistakes, especially those from which you learn the most, are destined.

The best approach is to let go (daily meditation helps a lot), follow your heart, and avoid fear-based decision-making.

As we mentioned, if you don’t take action at a point in your life to attempt to seize on an evident opportunity, and you likely will if it’s meant to be, fate will find you regardless, within the bounds of your unique personal destiny. By the way, contrary to popular New Age thought, these words all have the same meaning: fate, destiny, predestination, and predetermination.

Life is only meant to be fair related to the degree your karma is rewarding.

Also understand that you aren’t being punished if you have tough karma. Your soul (not your personality) has chosen it in this lifetime for whatever reason, which can be discovered, in part, through past life regression. Realizing the root reasons why often makes it easier to tolerate.
