“I Don’t Believe in Karma”

Share Button

We’ve interacted with thousands through our work and often ask people if they believe in the concept of karma. Karma is simply defined as what goes around comes around, meaning you reap exactly what you sow, including (and perhaps mostly) rewards and challenges from past life actions.

About 60% say they do believe in karma, 15% say they don’t know, and about 25% say they don’t believe in it. We’ve concluded that those who don’t accept the concept of karma appear to reject it for one or more of the following three main reasons:

1) Some are simply more analytical, rational, of the if-I-can’t-see-it-it’s-nonexistent frame of mind and need proof. They don’t have a good reason to accept it, so they’re rejecting for now.

2) Some have misconceptions about the concept. They may mistakenly feel that karma is all about punishment, and since they don’t believe a higher power would punish people, they reject what they perceive karma to be.

Our work has convinced us that karma is not about punishment, but a spiritual law of energy; whatever you do and say, both “good” and “bad,” will return to you, even if you don’t believe that it will. This really is a universe of justice, but it understandably doesn’t seem that way to those who focus only on the circumstances of this lifetime.

It’s also common for people to think that karma only happens immediately, in this lifetime, but it often takes more than a lifetime to balance itself out. For example, it was not “his karma to be dumped” just because he broke up with someone else a year before. The act of breaking up with someone, by itself, does not incur negative karma unless it’s done in a negative way.

Another misunderstanding about karma is that many don’t realize that the more you try to balance karma yourself through negative actions, the more negative karma you’ll create for yourself.

Does that sound like too passive of a disposition to you? There’s nothing passive about changing what you can and letting go of what you can’t change, or that is not your right to change.

Yet another misconception about karma is that due to your subconscious and super-conscious self (soul, or spiritual self) being beyond your conscious personality, simply forgiving yourself or confessing your sins won’t eliminate your karma. While doing so, your higher-self is smiling and shaking its head, saying, “That’s one more circumstance you’ll have to experience directly from the receiving end in a future life.”

3) Another reason some reject the concept of karma is that they seem to have great difficulty in taking complete responsibility for their actions, would rather maintain a victim-consciousness, or refuse to admit the reality of their behavior. This group of people is likely to be in denial about things they’ve done or said and don’t want to face the possibility that they will eventually need to experience directly what they’ve inflicted upon others. No matter how good someone is at justifying their actions and convincing themselves of their own lies, they still must face the music of the karma they generate at some point in the future.

These types of people are less likely to do “the right thing” in all situations, especially when no one is looking. They assume, incorrectly, that if no one catches them, they can get away with anything. Based on our past life regression and astrology and numerology charting work, we’ve found that the eyes of truth really are always watching all of us, at all times.

What is doing “the right thing,” you ask? Ultimately, it’s treating others as you want to be treated.

But it’s not easy to fathom exactly how karma functions through traditional, earth-bound thinking.

A good way to envision how karma works is to imagine a spiritual tie to everything you say or do, like an invisible, indestructible golden link that only detaches itself from you once you finally balance, often unknowingly, the energy. Each time you’re born, your soul is still attached to all the golden links from previous incarnations and you deal with some of them directly in the current life according to what your soul planned before incarnating.

Whether or not you believe in karma, don’t do or not do something just because you “should,” or “shouldn’t.” Remind yourself you’re doing the right thing because you don’t want to deal with the repercussions at a later time, and more importantly, because we’re all in this together.

Sex Not Spiritual?

Share Button

Some people are surprised when they discover that along with our other spiritual products and services, we offer hypnosis and subliminal audios for better sex. Their idea of a spiritual lifestyle may mirror that of modern-day monks, nuns, and priests, so they can’t fathom how sex would fit into the picture. A spiritual lifestyle to them does not, and should not, include sex.

For others, sex is an important part of their spirituality. For example, they may use tantric sex to connect with their partner on levels that go beyond just the physical. Personally, we feel that if you’re incarnated on this planet, you may as well enjoy it to the fullest, and that includes (responsible, honest, and safe) sexual expression.

But it’s not surprising many feel that sex is not spiritual or feel conscious or subconscious shame, guilt, or fear associated with it when you consider the influence of many organized religions’ doctrine.

Traditional religious leaders have a long history of preaching that sex, outside of marriage, is “bad,” “sinful” or “wrong.” These beliefs originate from puritanical times when sex was not supposed to be enjoyed, even within a marriage.

Through past life regression research, we’ve found present-day negative unconscious feelings and emotions about sex can sometimes result from living one or more lifetimes of being punished for sex or otherwise having a unfortunate experience with it.

A 21 year-old acquaintance of ours, whom we’ll call “Sam,” reflects this dynamic. He told us recently that he doesn’t want to have sex until he gets married because he feels it’s dangerous and he’d rather wait for the love of his life. While this might be an admirable position to some, we refrained from telling him the love of one’s life sometimes doesn’t arrive until much later in life, and that he may be denying himself some potentially invaluable experiences.

Sam was raised by very religious parents and his outlook on sex has certainly been influenced by their fear-based views. However, he seems to feel an unusual amount of fear about casual sex. While meditating, we spontaneously perceived what may have been Sam’s most recent past life in which he, or the body his soul was incarnated into at the time, died in 1984 of AIDS contracted through promiscuous sex. Because of that, it’s certainly understandable why Sam would have the intense subconscious drive to want to be (more) careful (this time).

Unfortunately, we also perceive Sam as someone who would be much more comfortable with sexual variety. He’ll try to tame that desire and will likely succeed temporarily, but as we’ve seen happen before many, many times with others in similar situations, eventually the repression may result in unhealthy, even destructive expression.

Because of this, whether or not abstinence is truly spiritual, we believe, is debatable.

Others seem to have a very free-spirited attitude about sex. They don’t understand why a bare breast, a thong at the beach, or a sexually open relationship, for example, causes so much commotion. It’s very possible that these non-conformists experienced lifetimes in past cultures where sex or public nudity was not considered “bad” or “dirty” but simply natural, fun, creative, and a major part of their happy lives.

What about karma, fate, free will, and sex, you ask? Based on our empirical research, one’s sexuality and what is largely experienced in relation to it does appear to be karmic and predestined. But since you also have free will in conjunction with your personal fate, sex is as spiritual as you choose it to be. As long as you are acting responsibly, safely, and honestly, and you are not hurting yourself or anyone else in the process, you are not creating any negative karma.

Money and Numerology

Share Button

Numbers have qualities, besides representing quantity. They have rich symbolic meaning and relate to every area of life, including money.

Below we list each of the root numbers 1 through 9 along with a few details about how they relate to money, as we’ve empirically discerned since 1992.

For numbers above 9, use fadic addition to add them together and reduce to a single digit. For example, 14 is 1 + 4 = 5 and 5739 is 5 + 7 + 3 + 9 = 24 = 2 + 4 = 6. The single digit result represents the most potent energy, but each part of multiple digits also holds important energy. For instance, 5739 includes the energy of 5000, 700, 30, 9, and 6.

Note: In order to accurately correspond to specific personality traits, life events, or circumstances, any individual number in a person’s comprehensive numerology charts must be part of a larger pattern involving multiple numbers in various chart positions. Still, beginning by learning the energy of each single number is a good first step.

1:

1, 10, even the Karmic Debt Number 19, in key positions, and other variations of 1 (10 = 1+0 = 1, etc.) strongly symbolize monetary advantage. However, as a timing vibration, 1 can represent the end of a good thing where the person has to start over. But initiating new enterprises under the 1 is a very good sign for prosperity.

2:

2 is one of the worst numbers for monetary gain. It’s known for disappointment and delay and isn’t reflective of riches. However, 20 is nice in relation to monetary abundance, as can be 11 and variations of 11.

3:

3 represents easy financial acquisition. But it’s up and down, inconsistent and, or it’s spent too quickly. Those with lots of heavy 3 natal and timing energy in their comprehensive charts always have an easy time “manifesting abundance” because it’s their path.

As long as they can maintain their focus (3 is known for lacking focus), they often quickly reach and exceed financial goals.

4:

Nothing is easy about 4 and money. It’s all work and discipline. However, the great thing about 4 is that it is steady, solid, and enduring. 4 is the least likely to represent windfall, but the most likely to keep and grow what is already invested.

5:

5 is nice for money in that business and careers almost always prosper, allowing for healthy profits. However, the 5 (like the 3) is too often symbolic of spendthrift ways. Discipline is necessary to really benefit financially through 5.

6:

6 is great for abundance, if it’s clear of associated karmic patterns suggesting past life debts, which is somewhat common with 6. In heavy 6 timing finances almost always improve and flourish at an even pace.

7:

7 is a bit of a wildcard in relation to money. In the vast majority of cases, timing or natal, it is symbolic of financial challenges, but it can absolutely symbolize significant prosperity. High-risk ventures are best avoided under heavy 7.

8:

8 is one of the most financially-oriented numbers. It’s big bucks, but it can also be big loss and big trouble. 8 is perfectly suited to deal with financial figures.

Potent 8 timing usually includes an increase in funds, but also more expenses. Our Numerology Decoder software allows you to find out about the numbers in your basic numerology chart.

9:

9 attracts money. effortlessly, but also lets it go just as easily, similar to the 3. With 9 money isn’t usually a primary focus (if the 9 isn’t over-balanced). Those with heavy 9, natal or timing, are the ones with a golden touch, or are partnered with those who have a golden touch. Reaping huge rewards is par for the course with 9.

Babies’ Names and Past Lives

Share Button

We always ponder a soon-to-be-born child’s past lives and how we knew them during the pregnancies of friends and family members.

This past June, our sister Meg gave birth to her first child, a healthy baby boy, and we had fun perceiving insight about him on a spiritual level before his arrival.

During her pregnancy, Meg and her husband Jeff couldn’t agree on a name that felt right to both of them. She asked us if we would tune into the baby’s soul and if possible, find out what name the soul liked. We told her that it’s better to remain open and wait for the right name to come to them. It usually does at the right time.

Meg and Jeff were still undecided about a name three months before her due date, so at her request, Stephen tuned into the soul, but was only “given” the initial of “J” (the baby’s middle name was undecided until after the birth and this caused quite a bit of stress for Meg and Jeff; it did end up starting with the letter “J”) and an image of the full name in a gift wrapped box, which was to be revealed at the right time. He then perceived Meg and her unborn son together in a Native American lifetime, and the child at eight years old in this life, with darker skin (Jeff has very light skin and Meg has our family’s Italian, darker skin, and Meg was hoping the baby would have her darker skin tone) and quite tan because he played a lot of soccer. He also perceived some suggestions from a spiritual guide to help Meg sleep better during her pregnancy.

Years ago, Scott perceived Meg as a Native American woman in southeastern America. Later, after she connected with Jeff in this lifetime, he saw Jeff as an explorer from Europe who traveled to America; we believe Meg and Jeff were together in that lifetime too. Perhaps they were also with their new son back in that lifetime, as related to Stephen’s vision of Meg and her son together as Native Americans.

About 4 months into the pregnancy, Stephen was falling asleep one night and was in that in-between state of consciousness where he often perceives valuable insight. Meg came to his mind, then a man dressed like Davy Crocket holding a “musket.” Immediately he thought, “There’s Andrew.” Later when Stephen told Meg what he had “seen,” she told him that Jeff’s great grandfather’s name was Andrew. We wondered if the baby was him in a past life. A few days later, before she had heard about what Stephen perceived, our other sister Amy had thought of the name Andrew for the baby as well.

At about noon on a beautiful June day last month, we received word that Meg was in labor and had gone to the hospital. After hanging up the phone, Stephen had a spontaneous vision of the baby, in soul form, dressed in a very expensive suit, sipping fine scotch on the rocks in a crystal glass and smoking an expensive cigar in the lavish living room of a mansion. It seemed he was in his own personal, spiritual “green room” backstage before his debut, and this other-dimensional place the soul had created for the occasion, we believe, was quite like one of his previous, satisfying incarnations. Before making the plunge and being incarnated again he wanted to relax and live it up. Stephen also sensed that as a soul he has been “around the block” many times.

Coincidentally, Scott happened to skim through a financial news article on the morning of the birth that included a mention of an early 1900’s NYC banking tycoon. The article featured a photograph of him (bigger guy dressed in a suit, mustache, cigar). He thought of Jeff (Meg’s husband) because last year Stephen had perceived him living a similar past life, and Scott had a feeling the soul of the baby was there too. Use our Past Life Regression audio to perceive your past lives and how you knew others long ago.

As soon as we knew the possible window of birth time we of course checked the astrology and numerology. We noticed that an earlier, rather than later, birth time that day would symbolically include a higher amount of beneficial karma, as seen through the considerations. Unknown to each other until later, we both sent out messages to the unborn baby of this notion, in case speeding up the arrival time was part of the destined plan.

An hour later they received word that the baby was breech, and a c-section would be done immediately, even though the nurse swore she thought she saw the head when they checked the first time.

Since natal birth data reflects who the soul is, where they have been, and where they are going, perhaps the soul appreciated our telepathic messages, but would have said this to us if we could have heard him: “Thanks guys, I already know. It’s part of the plan that I would be born earlier rather than later. As you know, nothing is by chance.”

Numerology Number 1

Share Button

The numbers 1 and 7 may be the loneliest numbers; Fortunately, 7 has its other-dimensional beings with which to commune, as well as its books, writings, mystical revelations, and other such typical areas of focus to keep it happy.

1, however, must face at least occasional isolation and being a mundane number, its only company is desire, inspiration, goals, projects, every-day tasks, and cherished ideals. The faint at heart don’t do well with 1. In fact, a lot is demanded of 1, and they, in turn, demand a lot from others.

Heavy 1 timing, especially after heavy 6 or 3, for example, often leaves people feeling secluded and lonely, forcing them to take desperate measures to rid themselves of the feeling that they exist on a deserted island.

Sadly, even if someone with excessive 1 timing surrounds themselves with loved ones, they are likely to still feel alone. On the bright side, being forced to go it alone or start over has its advantages, and self-love eventually triumphs, as the 1 is a significant teacher in this way.

Those enduring lengthy, demanding 1 timing, which is determined as taxing by the natal configurations and, or collective timing indicators, must hang on to that which they believe in, despite opposing views from just about everyone, including those closest to them.

Instead of resenting the resistance, it’s best to thank others for helping to strengthen their tenacity. As the numerology patterns represent personal fate and karma, the actual lessons are what help you to fulfill your earthly mission.

Personal timing always changes eventually, so if you don’t like yours now, you will at some point in the future, even if it’s not until your next incarnation. Find out about your basic numerology timing and where you have 1 in your basic charts, if at all, with our Numerology Decoder software.

Whether it’s found in the natal charts or timing charts, on the high side, an abundance of 1 is frequently linked to leadership, independence, courage, original and bold action, and comfortably going one’s own way.

The strong, balanced, healthy 1 is so self-assured, shrewd, and has such tremendous drive, energy, and ingenuity, that he or she offers the uncommon and unusual, even radical. It often magically becomes the accepted standard while society celebrates their genius instead of ridiculing their audacity.

Nobody beats the 1, other than the 8 from time to time (or the clever 5 sometimes), but 8’s manipulative and confrontational practices, bully-tactics and karma-inducing behavior sends it to the end of the line while 1 takes the crown. That is, if 1 isn’t pulling similar stunts, which it has been known to do once in a while. Numerology number 1; a study of self-confidence.

Wretched is the soft 1, which can be an under-balanced 19/1 (19 being a Karmic Debt number), overwhelmed with doubt and insecurity, constantly grasping for a foothold in life. It must turn inward, strive to balance its issues, embrace all that it is, stop looking for approval outside of itself, toughen its resolve and accept that it can’t please everyone.

At the other end of the spectrum is the over-balanced 19/1 whose hallmark traits are intense aggression and hostility, selfishness, intolerance, xenophobia, and addiction.

Think of the number 1 as a straight, solid, unwavering vertical beam of light extending from above down to the ground; it’s mentally and physically oriented (not emotionally or intuitively), and two of its best attributes are its vast energy reserves and its ability to focus. Its creative inspiration, like that of a brilliant stand-up comic, is also remarkable.

Even though 1 can be the loneliest number, the energy of 1 is everything new, it’s the initiative that gets the job done, and it’s the raw determination that earns success, against all odds.

8-8-08

Last year many people emailed us about 7-7-07 (July 7, 2007), asking if it’s a special date due to all the sevens. We were quoted in three separate American newspaper articles about 7-7-07.

We may have disappointed some people with our perspective about 7-7-2007 since we don’t consider it a special date as reflected by the associated, in-depth number patterns.

While the year 2007 includes a seven, it’s not purely a seven vibration: 2+0+0+7 = 9. Thus, the date is really 7-7-9. Also, the 9 and 2000 of 2007 carry more weight than the 7.

The way to find the most important number mysticism vibration of any multiple-digit number is to add them up and reduce to a single digit (fadic addition).

7-7-2005 (7-7-7) includes more seven energy than 7-7-2007 (7-7-9) on this key level.

The Chinese place a lot of importance on the number eight. They largely associate it with prosperity.

Although superstition too often prevails in many cultures, we believe eight does symbolically have some advantages over other numbers, especially in relation to control, money, power, and status.

The Beijing Olympic Games are scheduled to start on 8-8-2008, at 08:08:08 pm China Standard Time in Beijing.

Here is some information about the number eight from our Numerology Decoder software:

8: The number 8 is tied to influence, money, karma, action, business success, business failure, control, material objects, status, loss, gain, administration, management, ego, leadership, power.

Balanced 8 energy: prosperous, high-powered, commanding, stamina, self-confident, persuasive, financial awareness, effective, ambitious, businesslike, clear-headed, disciplined, material freedom, honorable, enterprising.

Over-balanced 8 energy: abuses power, cold-blooded, egotistical, overreaction to money, scheming, aggressive, materialistic, corrupt, demanding, domineering, preoccupied with power and money, unsympathetic, over-ambitious, confrontational, rebellious, coarse.

Under-balanced 8 energy: passive, vulnerable, fearful, insecure, avoids power and money, poor judgment, givespersonal power away, shortsighted.

——————————————–

As indicated above, eight can represent great rewards, yet it can also symbolize huge challenges, depending on the rest of the indicators in the charts.

The date 8-8-2008 is really, on the most important fundamental, numerological level, 8-8-1 (2+0+0+8 =10, 1+0=1).

This next part of the analysis of 8-8-2008 gets a little more complicated, but we’ve simplified it as much as possible.

There’s a lot of hidden seven energy in the date 8-8-2008, and it’s not very favorable seven energy. It’s a hefty combination of over-balanced and under-balanced seven energy. More information from our Numerology Decoder software is below.

7: The number 7 is connected to mysticism, intuition, inner growth, examination, study, analysis, reflection, lowered physical vitality, increased mental activity, conserving assets, planning, attracting unsolicited help, specialization, solitude, health issues, travel.

Balanced 7 energy: metaphysical interests, different wavelength, intellectual, clairvoyant, analytical, perceptive, scientific, exact, meditative, mystical, expert, bookish, poised, telepathic, visionary, deep, dreamer, instinctive, reflective, truth-seeker, studious, wise.

Over-balanced 7 energy: fearful, nervous, critical, paranoid, indecisive, secretive, repressed emotions, distrustful, guarded, intimidating, fussy, evasive, fanatic, self-conscious, secretive, perfectionist, impersonal, pessimistic.

Under-balanced 7 energy: lack of depth, naïve, ignorant, too trusting, empty-headed, mystified, superficial, lack of faith, undeveloped, uninformed, unsure.

——————————————–

Plenty of 16/7 energy (e.g., 8+8=16/7, 7+9=16/7) exists in the date 8-8-2008, which is a firm sign of the following and other challenges: hypocrisy, superficiality, painful collapse of ego-self ideals, rise in status leading to eventual collapse, scandal, intense pride, and self-righteousness.

Unfortunately, the comprehensive charts, beyond what we display linked above, also predominantly reflect challenging patterns.

On a positive note, the “Life Path” (the most important basic calculation in modern numerology) of 8-8-2008 is indeed eight (8+8+1=17/8), so at least the desire for eight is fulfilled potently that way (along with the day of eight and the minor symbolic influence of the 08 of 2008). It’s unfortunate though that there’s so much malefic seven associated with the date.

Additionally, the official starting time of the Beijing 2008 Olympics (opening ceremony) includes some unsavory astrological considerations, including the following: Sun in a weak house; Moon in Scorpio (opposite of it being exalted in Taurus); Saturn opposing the Ascendant; the Ascendant ruler (Jupiter as ruler of Pisces according to ancient astrology) is retrograde (modern ruler, Neptune, is in a weak house–12th); secondary ruler of Ascendant (Venus) is with Saturn; and Mercury is in a weak house.

The lesson here is that it’s important to embrace a comprehensive approach with numerology and astrology, and preferably use them together, as a surface approach easily yields unwanted and, or erroneous results.

Although we would have chosen a different start date and time for the Olympics, we accept that however it came about, fate is fate and it was meant to be that way. Besides, the symbolism doesn’t suggest total doom and hopefully the games will go smoothly without any major problems, aside from the on-going political issue (Tibet) and recent earthquake.

Mercury Retrograde

Share Button

Mercury is retrograde May 26th to June 19th, 2008 in the sign of Gemini. Mercury retrograde, which occurs a few times each year, is one of the most talked about astrological events, especially by astrology hobbyists and novices.

Although Mercury doesn’t really do a 180 and backtrack during a retrograde, Mercury appears to reverse direction for less than a month. The illusion of Mercury retrograde is due to the orbit of Earth in connection to Mercury’s orbit. After retrograde, it goes “direct,” when it appears to turn back around and go in the right direction, continuing to  progress through the astrological signs (e.g., Aries, Taurus, Gemini, etc.).

Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune all retrograde as well. At least one of these planets are retrograding at any given time and the further the planet from the Sun, the longer it retrogrades (e.g., Neptune for over 155 days).

Astrologically, all planets and the Sun and Moon can be classified as masculine or feminine, nocturnal or diurnal, or challenging or rewarding. But Mercury is an oddity because it can be either in every situation depending on which planet it accompanies, which makes it the hermaphrodite of the solar system.

Depending on Mercury’s condition and to which heavenly body or bodies it’s connected, it can be related to the following: communication, conversation, thievery, deception, mercurial disposition, messages, information, intellectual pursuits, and education.

Mercury retrograde is notoriously known for such things as communication screw-ups and misunderstandings, computer and other technology glitches, travel delays, scheduling conflicts, machinery break-downs, and complications with new project launches.

Mercury retrograde doesn’t make such things happen, it’s just symbolic of these things. As above, so below.

Mercury retrogrades are known for being good times to go more deeply into existing projects, re-examine already discovered prospects, re-do things, and finish things already in motion. It’s a time to slow down a bit and be more cautious.

Although Mercury retrograde (or any retrograde for that matter) is an affliction, it’s only one of many possible indicators.

In our view, too much emphasis is placed on Mercury retrograde and it’s often blamed for circumstances when it shouldn’t be, where a dozen or more other astrological or numerological considerations are more closely related to the situation.

Also, your natal astrological indications may suggest that you have an easier time with Mercury retrogrades than average. For instance, if Mercury isn’t a major player in your natal charts, it’s less of a concern for you.

How Mercury retrograde symbolically affects you also depends on where in your natal charts the current transiting Mercury retrograde falls. If it falls in a weak house for example, and is unrelated to the matter at hand, it could be even more of a non-issue for you.

Here’s our view on Mercury Retrograde timing based on our observations since the 1980s: up to 17-28 days before Mercury goes retrograde can be “worse” (communication issues, etc.) than the actual retrograde period. Also, the second half of the actual Mercury retrograde period generally runs more smoothly than the first half.

An example of a Mercury retrograde happening is to think of a seemingly great idea during retrograde, but then later you learn of additional information that changes the equation, thus that great idea is altered considerably. We’ve learned to be patient with new ideas during Mercury retrograde, put them on the back-burner temporarily, and wait a few weeks for a clearer perspective.

We suggest going ahead with anything you have planned during retrogrades and not worrying too much about the phenomenon. Just make sure you’re a little more thorough and cautious in your dealings, especially with new or important plans. Assume nothing, take nothing for granted, and be ready for some delays.

Afraid to be Alone Part II

Share Button

Should you stay or should you go, and how should you do it? Will you be alone for the rest of your life if you leave? Whether or not to leave an unhappy relationship and strike out alone can be an agonizing decision for many.

Viewing it from a different perspective will help you. Below we outline a couple case studies and show that there are alternative options to conventional wisdom.

Case study problem #1:

“Alan and I agreed to be committed to each other even though I felt like he may have been more interested in financial security (I make well over six figures and Alan is a struggling musician). He admitted that he cheated once (but I suspect more). But he’s grown up a lot since then and promises me that he’s changed. I think we have a chance together, especially since our physical/sexual connection is so incredible. I think he may be “the one” and worry that if I don’t stay with him, I may miss the opportunity to ever be loved again.”

Traditional thinking and solution:

Believe his pleas about how he’s grown up (never mind that his nature dictates that he needs variety and that he’ll either stray again or be unhappy being strictly monogamous), bite the bullet and get married. After all, everyone knows that marriage improves all relationships and secures happiness; this is why so many people rush into this legally binding situation.

Alternative Suggestion:

You’re considering a commitment with a man who cheated on you and who may be more interested in your money than you? Based on Alan’s birth data, what we intuit, and what you’ve told us, he’s not the monogamous type or someone you’ll be able to trust or depend on. If you don’t make a commitment with him, are you missing the opportunity to ever be loved again? We doubt it, but more importantly, you need to ask yourself if being with him is worth the misery he will likely cause you both.

Alternative Suggestion:

If the physical/sexual connection is mind-blowing, but he isn’t the monogamous type, you do have other options besides all (marriage and its expectations) or nothing (dumping him). Perhaps he’s meant to be in your life in a different capacity, such as a “friend with benefits” or as a secondary partner. This arrangement can work if both partners are mature and honest and have no expectations of it leading to anything more.

However, in these situations (and all relationships, for that matter), never assume anyone is being strictly monogamous or practicing safe sex with other partners. Always practice safe sex and use condoms. That may sound untrusting or paranoid to some, but we’ve known too many people who’ve contracted STDs, including HIV, from partners, even those in relationships that they assumed were monogamous. Don’t be foolish. Play safe 100% of the time. Some people have good intentions and want to be honest and keep their promises, but their nature contradicts that; they simply cannot. Their urges and agendas and excuses and justifications are more important to them.

Case study problem #2:

“I have been in a long-term relationship for 15 years, since I was 26. I don’t feel my other half is my true soul mate. However, I’m not sure that I’ll ever find my true soul mate, so I remain with my boyfriend. He’s a great guy, but when people talk of true love, I know this just isn’t it. Our sex life is pretty much non-existent, and has been for the last 9 years. I’m worried that if I end my relationship I’m too old to find someone else, so I just stay where I am because I don’t want to grow old alone…”

Traditional thinking and solution:

You’re past your prime. Just make the most of your current situation.

Alternative Suggestion:

You two are essentially roommates who masquerade as a couple. Though it’s true that everyone has many soul mates, he doesn’t seem to be one of your more compatible ones. You’re not too old to find someone else or to enjoy being single. In fact, we’ve known many people who look their best, even very sexy, in their 40s, 50s, 60s and beyond, especially if they exercise often (including yoga), meditate for stress relief and awareness, maintain diets that work for them, such as whole and raw foods, avoid drugs and excess alcohol, and do internal cleansing. If you make time to make the most of yourself, you will reap the rewards. In addition, personal timing (as discerned through comprehensive numerology and astrology), not age, dictates when you’ll meet a compatible match.

As far as growing old alone goes, having a partner now is no guarantee that he or she will be there later in life, or that they will be a remedy for your loneliness. Alternatively, invest time in quality friends and family, volunteer, turn off the TV, and join groups that interest you, and, or get a pet.

Everyone is, for the most part, programmed from birth to believe they need to find the one perfect person to meet all of their needs for the rest of their lives. Remarkably, this is often expected by people in their 20s, when they are too young to really know themselves. This is impossible, but many still strive for it and then think they or the relationship “failed” if their expectations aren’t met. Stop looking outside yourself for love or for a soul mate to fulfill your every need for the rest of your life. The sooner you can do that, the happier you’ll be.

If you are alone now or at times in-between relationships, learn to love being alone; this is your time to concentrate on other areas of life and help others with what you’ve learned. Make a difference in someone’s life and, or the world.

Finally, what is the root cause of your fear of being alone? Where did it all start? It’s not just because you don’t like being alone. It goes much deeper than that. Find out through regular meditation and, or past life regression. Regular meditation will also help you connect with your higher-self and God, and with this awareness, it will be easier to let go of the unhealthy fear of solitude. Remember, it’s only a fear, one that you have control over if you choose.

Afraid to be Alone

Share Button

We receive many inquiries from people agonizing over the choice between staying in an unhappy, unsatisfying relationship or leaving and potentially being alone. The majority of them are more worried about being alone for the rest of their lives and because of this, remain stuck in their relationships.

There are other options, as we outline below, especially if you are willing to view your situation from a more spiritual perspective.

Case study problem #1:

“When I was 25 I met the love of my life, John, yet he broke up with me after 2 years. We remained best friends and the affair never really ended. I always compared everyone to him, and he always came back to me when in trouble. Eventually, we got back together. I’ve caught him cheating four times in the last three years and I don’t know if I can take it again, but the idea of being on my own seems worse to me….”

Traditional thinking and solution:

Turn a blind eye to your partner’s infidelities and be grateful you have someone in your life. You’ve invested all this time together and it would be a shame to throw it all away.

Alternative Suggestion:

You are allowing him to continue to disrespect you because you’re afraid to be alone. Though your situation is karmic, it’s in your best interest to use your free will to react compassionately. Take back your power, be strong, and bow out. You will be free to work on yourself and eventually meet someone who is more respectful and compatible.

How much time you’ve invested with each other is never a good reason to stay together, especially if he’s betraying your trust. Look at it this way, the spiritual (most important) reasons for relationships are about learning, understanding, and growth; how long they last is irrelevant. Many people place great importance on the length of a relationship, but if it’s done it’s done, even if a couple stays together. Besides, as soon as he betrayed your trust, the relationship died as you knew it. As far as him being the love of your life, you don’t know that for sure until the end of your life.

Alternative Suggestion:

If you can’t live without him (and you probably can), redefine the relationship and tell him his actions have shown you that he cannot or will not be monogamous. Since the problem with cheating is ultimately more about dishonesty than sex (other than insecurity about the loss of a partner or fear of disease), your relationship may work, in a different form, if he is willing to be brutally honest when he feels like straying, and does so safely and responsibly. But you would need to be very adult-like in how you handle his confessions, and it’s likely that he would not be able to handle you dating other people. Both of you seeing this all from a spiritual perspective (everyone has many soul mates, no one owns anyone, sex is not love and doesn’t have to be exclusive to traditional love relationships, sex purely for the enjoyment of sex between two consenting adults is perfectly acceptable, etc.) would also help a lot.

Case study problem #2:

“I didn’t automatically ‘click’ with my boyfriend Jason, yet we shared a world view, and we ended up moving in together and building a life. He’s the most loving and genuine man I’ve ever met, yet I often think about the bond I had with a previous lover that doesn’t seem to be there with Jason. I’ve considered ending it, but I don’t want to be alone and I worry that perhaps I’m asking for too much, and running after a dream that isn’t real…”

Traditional thinking and solution:

You can’t have everything in a relationship, and you should feel lucky that you’ve found a good person to be with.

Alternative Suggestion:

Though it’s good to realize that “Prince Charming” or the perfect partner does not exist, your attraction to Jason is based on your logical mind reasoning about why you should like him, should be attracted to him, and should feel that connection with him.

But as you know, you don’t feel that connection with him. It’s either there, or it isn’t, and between you two, it’s not. This is not your fault or his, it just is what is. Perhaps you cite a fear of hurting his feelings as the reason why you don’t break up with him. After all, he is such a nice guy.

Think of your situation this way: you are being selfish. Breaking up with him would be doing him a favor; he would be available for someone more compatible with whom he would share that special connection that you two don’t have. The comprehensive numerology and astrology natal and timing charts, along with psychic insight, tell us you both are better off as friends.

If you are unhappily involved or single and fear being alone it’s within your power and your free will to learn to love your time alone. But first you must confront the fear of solitude and discover its origins. Even if past lives are just metaphors in your subconscious mind, regression therapy can help, as can meditation.

“Spiritual Guides” Not Always Helpful

Share Button

The expectation or hope of dramatic, obvious contact with a spiritual guide or guides too often leads to disappointment. Much emphasis has been placed on spirit guide contact by many spiritual authors, but frankly, we believe your higher-self should receive more attention.

Below are seven tips for gaining authentic spiritual guidance.

1. It’s very important to note that not all “guides” offer absolute truth and wisdom just because they are not in a physical body. Some have strong biases and may not be objective with their advice to you.

It’s easy to mistake a disincarnate soul (someone who died but did not go to “the Light” for a variety of reasons) or a mischievous or dark entity for a “guide.” If the guide offers input that sounds impartial or prejudiced in any way, doesn’t feel uplifting or of a higher vibration, or feels negative and gives negative sounding advice (e.g., telling you to do something that would incur karma), demand that it leave and ask for spiritual cleansing help from whomever you pray to.

For example, if you make contact through a ouija board, pendulum, or some other means with an energy who claims to have been someone famous, such as Elvis, be wary. Even if it really is a deceased, famous personality, there is no guarantee that the information imparted will be truthful and non-subjective. Besides, it’s common for dark entities to play such games.

2. Everyone perceives spiritual guidance differently. Some hear (clairaudience), some see (clairvoyance), some just know (claircognizance), some feel (clairsentience), some taste or smell, and some experience various combinations or all of the above (clair-all). This is true with past life recall also. If you just know or feel, you may not directly hear or see your guides or past lives.

Although you may very well have one (or more) main guardian angel or guide, it’s likely that most people are not supposed to have a consistent, direct, conscious link to him or her while incarnated. Why, you ask? If you could pick up your spiritual telephone and had an invisible, on-call adviser to give you direct answers, 100% sure-fire direction any time you needed it, this would be cheating; you would not learn the lessons you’ve incarnated to experience.

Furthermore, we agree that help from angels of the Light and ascended master guides is available to many, but the insight you receive may be so subtle that you won’t be able to identify much about the source, other than to know that it feels genuine and pure.

3. It’s entirely possible, in our opinion, that many people have created, in their mind, a name and image of the helpful spiritual energy they call their guide. We don’t see anything wrong with this, as long as it’s only to identify the energy.

4. We don’t feel that associating a name with spiritual insight or discovering the name of a guide is important because it may not always be a guide from which you are deriving information, and it’s easy to become dependent on a guide.

5. Receiving outside help is great when needed, but relying on yourself as much as possible in meditation by connecting with your subconscious mind and your higher-self is usually best. Your subconscious mind is where all past and present life memories are stored, along with all fears and defenses. Your higher-self is also your link to your super-conscious, or all that is. Some say it’s a direct connection to God, your god-self.

Our Direct Your Destiny ™ e-package offers extensive tips and tools to help you get the most of your inner guidance.

6. If you meditate regularly and connect with your higher-self, you will have all the help you need, which may sometimes include the help of other-dimensional guides of the Light. All you have to do is focus on the dilemma or question, and if you are meant to know the answer, you will know it, when you are meant to realize it, one way or another.

Through years of practicing meditation, we regularly receive flashes of insight and the answers to questions by detaching just enough from the conscious mind to allow higher-self insight to flow to the doorstep of consciousness. Sometimes it seems as if the answers are waiting there for us to perceive.

7. Meditation is so important for self-awareness and stress reduction. Develop and practice it as a regular discipline and you will benefit in many ways, including receiving regular spiritual guidance and the ability to discern cosmic noise from divine insight.

In summary, we believe it’s to your advantage to put aside the desire to commune with specific spiritual guides and instead focus on becoming or remaining grounded and centered, and accessing your inner awareness and your higher-self.
