Two Rarely Mentioned Ingredients of a Lasting Partnership

Share Button

According to Stephen J. Johnsonn, Ph.D., a marriage and family therapist in practice for 40 years and married for nearly 35, “Even stellar relationships lose their spark over time.” In this article, he gives “the ingredients of a lasting, fruitful partnership, and techniques for weathering the stormy periods.”

Some of the ingredients of a lasting, fruitful partnership that the author lists include both partners willing to make the relationship a priority, feeling appreciated, telling the truth and communicating effectively, and maintaining a sense of humor.

He includes mention of a UCLA Family Studies Center study that examined “1,500 couples who had been together for five or more years and who acknowledged having a strong, close, deeply committed bond. The couples revealed six common characteristics:

  1. There was a physical attraction between them.
  2. They were in the relationship out of clear choice rather than out of obligation or fear of being alone.
  3. They shared fundamental values, beliefs, interests, and goals.
  4. They were able to express anger clearly and directly and they resolved differences through communication and compromise.
  5. They experienced laughter, fun, pleasure, and play with each other.
  6. They were able to express support for each other and support each other’s activities, interests, and careers.”

Our findings show that the fewer of the following personality traits one has, the easier relationships tend to be. Our Graphology Resource Key- Love Compatibility– Important Areas of Concern helps you identify these traits:  https://spiritualgrowthnow.com/graphology/.

Abuse–signs of trauma, Abuser-type personality (abusive nature), Acquisitiveness–strong interest in money and material possessions, Argumentativeness, Arrogance, Closed-mindedness, judgmental/intolerant/critical nature, narrow-mindedness, Commitment-fear of, Emotional rigidity, Evasiveness, Excessive Flirtatiousness, Immaturity, Impatience, Fear of Intimacy, Jealousy, Low Self-esteem, Self consciousness, Selfishness, Excessive Sensuality, Sex addiction, Shyness, Temper, Vanity–huge need for approval, Need for Variety (if attempting monogamy) and many more.

There are two additional, rarely mentioned ingredients of a lasting partnership:

Rewarding love karma
When a couple shares good relationship karma, they naturally experience less conflict in their relationship. They will have disagreements like every couple, but the underlying and strong love and karmic bond make them easier to manage and work through.

Our long-term findings show that the majority of couples share challenging love karma, which is ideal for learning life lessons and soul growth. Fortunately, you have free will to make the most of all relationships, and avoid toxic situations and people.

Favorable long-term timing for love and relationships
When both partners have collective, long-term love life timing that is conducive to a lasting love relationship, their rewarding union will unfold naturally and they will encounter fewer obstacles to long-term success.

When both partners lack such timing, they will drift apart, meet more compatible love interests (whether or not they look for or pursue them) and, or the relationship will end (whether or not they remain together) for other reasons.

Your collective long-term timing for love and relationships can’t be changed, but you have free will in how you react to it. Our findings show us that everyone’s personal timing is part of their predetermination, or fate.

But fate and karma must be considered from the vantage point of many lifetimes, not just one. You’ve lived before, and you’ll live again, though your personality usually won’t remember. One sure way to generate future life good karma is to be on your best behavior now.

Advantages of embracing the concepts of personal fate and timing include realizing terrible love life episodes don’t last forever and circumstances will eventually improve, and it’s easier to accept what you can’t change, let go, and have faith.

It’s understandable if you’re wondering how we can say that a bad love life has to do with personal timing. Our theories are the result of long-term empirical research. After seeing the constant and unwavering connection, over the course of more than twenty years, between patterns in the comprehensive charts and circumstances in thousands of people’s lives, we’re convinced the ups and downs of personal fate can be identified with astrology and numerology (but not with the over-simplistic forms you’ve been exposed to, such as “horoscopes”).

Don’t feel bad if you’ve done all you can to improve your love life and, or relationship, and still don’t have a long-term, mutually happy and satisfying relationship; that type of relationship has a lot to do with those two rarely mentioned ingredients that are mostly outside of your control.

Our Direct Your Destiny e-package offers powerful tools to help you make the most of your love life, including 4 effective love life and relationship exploration, discovery, and healing audio MP3s. https://spiritualgrowthnow.com/directyourdestiny/

Fate–Outrageous Accounts of Famous People Denying Predestination

Share Button

Famous people throughout history have said some interesting things about fate.

Napoleon Bonaparte, 19th century French military leader, one of the most triumphant military commanders of all time, said, “Circumstances–what are circumstances? I make circumstances.” It seems Napoleon didn’t believe in fate.

But he also said this, “There is no such thing as accident; it is fate misnamed,” perhaps during his final defeat at Waterloo, or as he spent the last six years of his life in a British prison, before his demise at age 51.

“I don’t believe in providence and fate, as a technologist I am used to reckoning with the formulae of probability.”
Max Rudolf Frisch, Swiss playwright and novelist

Interestingly, Max Frisch seems to entertain the notion of fate in his 1957 novel “Homo Faber.” The main character, Walter Faber, believes in reason over predetermination, yet ultimately rethinks that position. Malcom Forbes in the Montreal Review puts it this way:

“Faber exercises his rational mind by regaling us with statistics relating to the likelihood of improbable accidents and incidents befalling us. He downplays any significance of providence but from this point on experiences a series of extraordinary coincidences, mainly in the form of chance encounters. When Sabeth turns out to be the daughter he never knew he had he is compelled to re-evaluate the faith he placed in technology over fate. ‘I’m a technologist and accustomed to seeing things as they are,’ he informs us early on in the novel. But when the unforeseen occurs and when the improbable morphs into the unbelievable, he is left floundering. Faber revises his whole outlook at the close of the novel when lying in his hospital bed, vanquished and desolate. ‘Life is not matter and cannot be mastered by technology,’ he decides.”

“Fate laughs at probabilities.”
E.G. Bulwer-Lytton 19th century English novelist and playwright

“Fate is for losers.”
Douglas Coupland, novelist and artist, appointed member of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts

His quote, “Fate is for losers,” is amusing considering how his writing career began, according to Wikipedia: “He completed courses in business science, fine art, and industrial design in Japan in 1986. Established as a designer working in Tokyo, Coupland suffered a skin condition brought on by Tokyo’s summer climate, and returned to Vancouver. Before leaving Japan, Coupland had sent a postcard ahead to a friend in Vancouver. The friend’s husband, a magazine editor, read the postcard and offered Coupland a job writing for the magazine. Coupland began writing for magazines as a means of paying his studio bills. Reflecting on his becoming a writer, Coupland has admitted that he became one ‘By accident. I never wanted to be a writer. Now that I do it, there’s nothing else I’d rather do.'”

“It is nobody’s right to be waited on and nobody’s fate to do the waiting.”
Margaret Heffernan, writer and businesswoman

Perhaps she is seeing ahead in the future where artificial intelligence takes care of all the service industry jobs? Does she believe it should be illegal for a woman to be a housewife, even if that’s her desire? Or, is this her way of dealing with guilt about her success or perhaps she’s merely indulging her audience? “It’s not your fate to ever work in a service job” sells more books than “You have to start somewhere.”

“Change your plate. Change your fate.”
Kris Carr, New York Times best-selling author and wellness activist

While we applaud Kris Carr for overcoming cancer and we also believe that diet and wellness has a lot to do with longevity and vitality, you can’t change fate with vegetables. When fate summons you, you have free will to react, but no amount of antioxidents and green juice will change what is destined. That is a catchy marketing phrase though, isn’t it?

“Not what we experience, but how we perceive what we experience, determines our fate.”
Marie von Ebner-Eschenbach, 19th century German writer

While we admire and agree with her suggestion that positive thinking can improve your life, we disagree that changing your perception will change what is destined. Denying the cold, hard realities of life won’t make them go away.

These final six quotes, we believe, encapsulate the essence of the philosophy of personal fate:

“If there’s any business that instructs you in the strong hand of fate, it’s show business. You can plan and plan, but it’s what happens to you that really determines what your career will be like.”
Sam Waterston, American actor, director, and producer

“My fate cannot be mastered; it can only be collaborated with and thereby, to some extent, directed. Nor am I the captain of my soul; I am only its noisiest passenger.”
Aldous Huxley, English writer and philosopher

“All things are subject to decay and when fate summons, monarchs must obey.”
John Dryden, English poet and playwright

“Fate is nothing but the deeds committed in a prior state of existence.
Ralph Waldo Emerson

“Fate leads him who follows it, and drags him who resist.”
Plutarch

Fate: Movie Stars, Fame and Predestination

Share Button

Fifty Hollywood actors of similar talent toil for years looking for that big break, frequently crossing paths through the same auditions and talent agencies. Eventually, two of them make it to A-list status, yet the others languish in obscurity. We don’t call it luck, we call it fate.

It makes me believe in fate. In most cases, the readings where I’ve been really bad have usually been the ones where I got the part.”
Robin Wright

After reviewing thousands of people’s comprehensive astrology and numerology charts, our objective findings consistently show those who are fated to become famous do, and those who aren’t, don’t.

That may sound “void of promise” to you, but we prefer to tell it as we see it to help you save time, money, and avoid heartache. Besides, life is about the journey, not the destination, wouldn’t you agree?

Consider these other quotes about fame and predestination:

“Casting sometimes is fate and destiny more than skill and talent, from a director’s point of view.”
Steven Spielberg

“When I was growing up in Terrell, Texas, I felt that it was not where I was supposed to be. I knew that I was meant for a different destination. I think that the minute I was born, there was something inside telling me where I would go, it’s like energy – an intangible destiny.”
Jamie Foxx

“…I didn’t know what I was going to do with myself. And then fate reached in and took me in its hands. I was discovered right out of high school and started getting work.”
Sally Field

“We are all tied to our destiny and there is no way we can liberate ourselves.”
Rita Hayworth

“I’m a great believer in fate. I think things happen in spite of, and despite, yourself.”
Randolph Scott

“Fate pulls you in different directions.”
Clint Eastwood

“Fate gives you the finger and you accept.”
William Shatner

Those who deny fate assert that force of will and hard work allow you to achieve anything. Perhaps there are multitudes of aspiring Hollywood actors thinking to themselves, “If someone like Brad Pitt can make it big, so can I.”

Do you believe Brad Pitt is just a pretty face and got lucky in his career? We disagree. The patterns symbolizing fame and money success in Brad Pitt’s comprehensive charts are beyond stellar, even breathtaking. The aspiring stars that never get a break, despite working as hard as anyone else, simply lack the necessary patterns. In other words, it’s their fate to never get that big break, and the unique patterns in their charts represent it. Again, we know this doesn’t sound encouraging, but we’ve found that being direct is ultimately more helpful to you.

Interestingly, extreme infamy is equally as easy for us to identify in the charts, as is an exceptional fall from grace, significant career beginnings and peak points, and key love life connections, to name a few.

After years of doing this type of work, we’ve learned the importance of working with fate and accepting what you can’t change, and It’s always heartening to see patterns of extraordinary success in an individual’s comprehensive charts.

After recently watching on a long flight Ex Machina and A Most Violent Year staring relatively young (36 years-old) Oscar Isaac, we appreciated his talent. We then reviewed his charts and were intrigued with how his overall lifetime mega fame and career staying power is similar to that of Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones. He’s staring in the upcoming Star Wars movies, episodes VII and VIII.

The theory of personal fate (same meaning as destiny) tells us there’s a reason for everything and things happen when they’re supposed to happen.

However, fate does not mean you should always wait around for things to happen. Get centered, figure out your talents and what you really want, and take action. Fated events sometimes just happen to you, completely out of your control, and other times they occur when you follow your dreams and work toward success.

18 Magic Affirmations to Improve Your Appearance and Be Sexier

Share Button

Perhaps you’ve experienced the power of affirmations.

Tell yourself a thousand times you can’t do something, and you’re that much closer to failure. Tell yourself repeatedly you can do something, and you’re more likely to succeed.

Taken to the extreme, some people claim you can manifest anything you want with positive thinking.

While we would like that to be true, we have a different view about the subject.

Through our many years of empirical research our findings show, consistently, that your experiences have a lot to do with personal timing, which is a reflection of your destiny (which is the same thing as fate).

The fabric of fate consists of both “good” and “bad” things.

That means you can only manifest something if it’s part of your destined path.

Sometimes your personal timing is conducive to looking great and feeling sexy, and situations in your life will mirror that. Sometimes it’s the opposite.

Surely, you’ve experienced feeling like your personal magnetism is off the charts, like you just can’t lose. Yet other times you feel like you’re invisible, or you’re humiliated to the point of wondering if your trials are being filmed with a hidden camera and the joke is on you.

But we’ve also found everyone has free will to react and make the most of themselves and every situation.

You can’t change your fate, but what you think and your attitude can shape your reality around the destined experiences. Lemonade made from life’s lemons can be exceedingly refreshing.

You have free will to worry and think negative thoughts, or you can take charge of your life and do what you can to improve it and stop worrying about that which you can’t change.

One thing that makes life easier is looking and feeling your best. How you treat others is most important, but in our society, how you look also matters. Show up for a first date or job interview looking sloppy, tense and lacking confidence and it may ruin your chances. Let yourself go (physically) in a relationship and your mate might lose interest.

Is there anything wrong with wanting to improve your appearance and be sexier? Not in our opinion, unless you have hang-ups about sex.

Below are 18 magic affirmations to help you improve your appearance and be sexier. Repeat them often enough and your mind will accept them as fact and play the part.

The subconscious mind is fascinating and very powerful. It can’t discern between reality and imagination. It will believe you when you continuously affirm, “I’m irresistibly sexy,” and take action to match your words. You may not be named People Magazine’s “Sexiest Man (or Woman) Alive,” but you can at least move up a few notches in sex appeal.

Note: Affirmations or subliminals are effective whether you use “I” or “you.” However, sometimes “I” is more effective for people who don’t like following direction, and sometimes “you” is better for people who don’t yet believe the affirmations. With repeated use, you can overcome either obstacle.

1) Life is improving for me each and every day.

2) I’m finding more fun and excitement in life.

3) I’m feeling relaxed and happy and it shows.

4) I deserve and accept great health.

5) I love and respect my body.

6) My mind and body are calm and relaxed.

7) My body is strong, beautiful, and efficient.

8) I’m balanced and centered.

9) I’m confident and self-assured.

10) I consume what works for my body and avoid what doesn’t.

11) I have self-discipline to exercise often.

12) I do what I need to do to look and feel my best.

13) I aim to look and feel my best every day.

14) I accept that it’s okay to look sexy.

15) I deserve to be beautiful.

16) I’m looking younger and healthier every day.

17) I’m finding new ways to look and feel healthier and sexier.

18) I radiate sex appeal and confidence.

Now that you understand that your thoughts influence your reality, you can use these affirmations to help improve your appearance and be sexier.

Karma–Ancient vs. Modern Definition

Share Button

Back in ancient times, more than 2000 years ago, the concept of karma was clearly defined in Buddhist teachings and Hindu texts such as the Mahabharata: Karma is inextricably linked to reincarnation and a person’s actions dictate the circumstances in his future lives. The concept is straightforward without much ambiguity.

Think of karma as stuff (challenging and rewarding) in life you can’t change, such as when and how your honesty is tested, the choices and actions of others that affect your life, criticism and rejection from others, the family and circumstances you are born into, the level of unique and unavoidable strife or harmony between you and another person, and those occasional insurmountable brick walls of failure that everyone goes through in life, leading to a new beginning.

We’re sure you can think of things in your life that fall under the “tough karma” category. How about that annoying boss? Or the relative that just won’t quit? Or, think of a time in your past when things didn’t go as you planned, but you ended up on what you now consider to be the right path anyway.

The definition of karma certainly has been warped in modern times. Many throw the word around, using it incorrectly, yet mock the concept of reincarnation. Work your way through the New Age best-seller list today and you’ll find dramatically different takes on the ancient and original definition of karma, and creative (yet misleading) advice like the following:

1. Karma is simply a matter of your perspective. If you believe it you can achieve it and clear away any challenges.

2. Karma isn’t real–it’s only your imagination. Just act as if you are above it and it will disappear, leading to a higher form of living.

3. It’s easy to erase your karma so you don’t have to suffer.

4. Transform your bad karma into rewards–it’s simply a matter of your spiritual awareness.

5. Karma is only about how you react to things in your life, not what happens to you. As long as you are “present” you can transmute bad karma so you don’t have to work your way through it.

6. Finally, once and for all, go back and erase all the karma in this life, your past lives, and any future lives–wipe it clean by the power of ascension. You’ll then be able to create the life you deserve.

7. Facing challenges in your life isn’t a matter of learning fated (Bad word! Bad word!), drawn out lessons. Facing an impossible spouse and have no way out? You don’t have to go through that. Snap your fingers ten times while saying the secret mantra in my new book and your spouse will go from zero to hero in no time!

We’re supportive of new and exciting concepts, and we’re certainly advocates of meditation and being in the present. However, do any of the above notions, relative to the cold, hard realities of everyone’s life, make any sense to you? Or, are you like us and don’t appreciate escapist spiritual poetry that only serves to cloud the issue and generate profits?

Let’s put this into perspective with a straightforward example of challenging karma: An honorable Special Forces soldier is abruptly forced out of the service by a conniving superior, ending his career. His intent since he was a child was to be a career military man, but that dream is over. Now, taking the modern advice about karma, does anyone in his or her right mind believe that a life-changing, difficult circumstance like this can be dodged with meditation and by being present?

The truth is that everyone has his or her own unique form of karma–the stuff you can’t change–to deal with in this life. Nothing will alter that, but you can change your perspective and avoid creating any additional negative karma. How you react to circumstances beyond your control makes all the difference.

Spiritual Power: The Three Stages of Gratitude

Share Button

Everyone knows gratitude as thankfulness, though we also regard it as a process through which to increase spiritual power, thus get more out of life and progress toward self-actualization.

Commonly, those on the spiritual path to self-awareness experience three stages of gratitude.

The first stage of gratitude involves acknowledging there’s more to gratitude than merely maintaining good manners. As a child you learned (we hope) to say thank you. Later, as a mature adult, in the second stage you begin to recognize the power of gratitude. The third stage is a consistently strong expression of gratitude, to the point of it becoming a bridge to a more potent way of living.

While you may live in the third stage occasionally or even a lot of the time, it’s rare for a person to constantly be in this advanced stage of the expression of gratitude.

You’re not alone if you find yourself stuck in the second stage most of the time. It takes a lot of practice to exist in the third stage.

Below we list seven ways to express more gratitude:

1. Forgive anyone and everyone who has ever hurt you. Stop holding grudges, which extinguishes the power of gratitude and hurts you. Recognize that you’re not forgiving for their sake, but for yours. You’re not letting them off the hook because if it’s their karma to endure payback, the law of karma, in our view, will take care of it for you. You don’t have to forget, but it will serve you to forgive.

2. Consider the philosophy that everyone serves you perfectly. In doing so, it’s much easier to let go, forgive, and be appreciative of the experience for what it taught you.

3. Let go of your expectations. True gratitude doesn’t involve fixating on what you think you deserve. It’s about accepting the result of your efforts and whatever appears in your life, rewarding or challenging. Letting go of your expectations helps to strengthen the power of gratitude exponentially.

4. Start with the past. Go back to your childhood and family memories. Be ever so thankful for your parents, siblings, other family members, teachers, neighbors, and everyone else in your life. Be grateful for all the experiences, good and bad. They’re what helped make you what you are today, and you can use this spiritual technique–the power of gratitude–to make your life even more rewarding.

5. Focus on the little things. Little things can help to spark the momentum of gratitude, like a favorite pair of jeans, the pleasure of seeming to stop time through the process of writing or working on a project, that new health tip, or a new friend. Or how about being grateful for a good night’s sleep or a beautiful day? There’s a lot to be grateful for!

6. Emotionalize your gratitude. Feel it, don’t just think it. The energy of emotions behind gratitude magnifies its power.

7. Make your health a priority. It’s a lot easier to maintain the flow of gratitude when you get enough rest, eat a healthful diet, and exercise regularly. Meditation also helps to keep you in the present and appreciate life rather than dwelling on the past or worrying about the future.

The three stages of the power of gratitude, realizing there’s more to gratitude than saying thank you, understanding its inherent potency and starting to capitalize on it, and then ultimately maintaining unwavering gratitude, enhances your spiritual power. Cultivate the power of gratitude, and its ally, faith, and advance to a higher quality of living.

Reactions to New Age Myths– Telling Symptoms

Share Button

The New Age marketplace includes countless well-meaning people. We applaud those who insist on honesty with their offerings and don’t put profits first.

However, like any industry, it has its share of tricksters and hucksters. Many don’t mean to mislead, but they feel pressure to generate income and press, and in the process lose their integrity.

Note: this article may seem “negative” to some people, but by pointing out the harsh reality of the mystical marketplace, our goal is to help you avoid falling for New Age hype, which can waste time and money and seriously hinder your spiritual progression.

Since the 1980s we’ve investigated virtually everything under the metaphysical rainbow. In the early years, we experienced a lot of dead-ends, but as time went on we gradually learned how to tell the difference between authentic mysticism and claptrap.

Cosmic carnival barkers make wild promises and statements including these: achieve never-ending prosperity and bliss through unity consciousness training; master ascension beyond the polarity of this dimension; rid yourself of your life’s karma without having to balance it directly; create the reality you want, overriding your predetermination; dissolve your spiritual parameters; everything is shifting to a new dimension and you can shift into the reality you want; extreme financial and love life success is your birthright; you can have it all due to the new potent spiritual era we are in at this time; everyone is transiting from cause and effect to resonant causation so you can create whatever you want though the power of intent; get rid of all the bad stuff in your life through forgiveness training; and so on.

Misinformation plus the desire for profit along with the power of persuasion, particularly when helped along by a gang of merry demons from the dark side, makes New Age dead ends all too common.

Watch for these telling symptoms of New Age funny business to save time and money:

1. In a bookstore you happen across a book entitled “Achieve Anything, Guaranteed!” and suddenly have an unexplained feeling of abdominal bloating. It’s your subconscious telling you the author is full of it.

2. The urge to vomit after a Facebook friend recommends liking a New Age fan page entitled “Rise Above Your Financial Debt Through Easy Spiritual Exercises,” isn’t because of what you ate for lunch.

3. Pay attention to the irritability you sense beneath the surface of your consciousness after you notice that famous best-selling author is promoting what seems like his hundredth book about getting the “life you deserve.”

4. That persistent ringing in your ears isn’t tinnitus, it’s your spiritual guides telling you that the “Find Your Soul Mate in Less Than 30 Days” programs and other too-good-to-be-true promotions are to be taken with a grain of salt.

5. Feelings of disorientation and not knowing where you are for periods of time don’t necessarily mean you’re in the twilight zone or that you need to see a doctor. One can’t help but suffer such symptoms after being bombarded with New Age seminar promo e-mails like this: “…Millions of people have read his books, but few have heard these secrets live. In attending this seminar, you will learn about the single, simple exercise that immediately makes people get rid of suffering for good and prosper!

Perhaps the author’s marketing team needs to add a disclaimer: “This man is a creative writer and showman, about as far from a spiritual teacher as you can get. So when you don’t get the results we promised, remember that we’ll say anything to make money. And we do!”

If you experience any of these or similar symptoms on your spiritual path, note the topic of your focus, and remind yourself that sometimes a desire for profit and recognition come before truth or a well-researched claim.

We would like to remind New Age promoters that the New Age industry won’t ever be viewed favorably by sending people down the primrose path of illusion.
It’s best to temper those big promises with a dose of reality and a disclaimer. Also, authentic mysticism is about self-discovery, not escapism.

Our findings show that you can’t cheat fate, but you have free will to make the most of your predestination, within the framework of your fate.

Maintain a sharp sense of discernment and you’ll save an enormous amount of time and money on your spiritual journey and avoid the New Age malarkey.

9 Kinds of Intelligence–Which do You Possess?

Share Button

Academic performance is widely accepted as an indication of intelligence. But excellent grades may only equate to a talent for memorizing facts, figures, and formulas, not necessarily wisdom, brilliance, or street smarts. Various kinds of intelligence seem to exist, considering the world is replete with millionaire and billionaire high school and college dropouts.

Howard Gardner, in his 1983 book Frames of Mind: The Theory of Multiple Intelligences, proposes seven different kinds of intelligence.

Supporters of Gardner’s theory contend the traditional definition of intelligence is too restricted, and that humans think and learn in different ways.

Critics say his theory isn’t scientific enough, and that Gardner is simply using the word intelligence instead of the word ability.

Below are the seven different forms of intelligence, as defined on Gardner’s website, plus two more.

Visual–spatial

“The ability to conceptualize and manipulate large-scale spatial arrays (e.g. airplane pilot, sailor), or more local forms of space (e.g. architect, chess player).”

Bodily-Kinesthetic

“The ability to use one’s whole body, or parts of the body (like the hands or the mouth), to solve problems or create products (e.g. dancer).”

Musical

“Sensitivity to rhythm, pitch, meter, tone, melody and timbre. May entail the ability to sing, play musical instruments, and/or compose music (e.g. musical conductor).”

Linguistic

“Sensitivity to the meaning of words, the order among words, and the sound, rhythms, inflections, and meter of words (e.g. poet). (Sometimes called language intelligence.)”

Logical-mathematical

“The capacity to conceptualize the logical relations among actions or symbols (e.g. mathematicians, scientists). Famed psychologist Jean Piaget believed he was studying the range of intelligences, but he was actually studying logical-mathematical intelligence.”

Interpersonal

“The ability to interact effectively with others. Sensitivity to others’ moods, feelings, temperaments and motivations (e.g. negotiator). (Sometimes called social intelligence.)”

Intrapersonal

“Sensitivity to one’s own feelings, goals, and anxieties, and the capacity to plan and act in light of one’s own traits. Intrapersonal intelligence is not particular to specific careers; rather, it is a goal for every individual in a complex modern society, where one has to make consequential decisions for oneself. (Sometimes called self intelligence.)”

Naturalistic

“The ability to make consequential distinctions in the world of nature as, for example, between one plant and another, or one cloud formation and another (e.g. taxonomist). (Sometimes called nature intelligence.)” This wasn’t part of Gardner’s original seven, but he added it in 1999.

Gardner also suggested “existential” intelligence in his 1999 book, which could be interpreted as spiritual intelligence.

What is spiritual intelligence?

Professor of Psychology at UC Davis, California Robert Emmons defines it as “the adaptive use of spiritual information to facilitate everyday problem solving and goal attainment.”

He proposed four parts of spiritual intelligence:

  1. “The capacity to transcend the physical and material.”
  2. “The ability to experience heightened states of consciousness.”
  3. “The ability to sanctify everyday experience.”
  4. “The ability to utilize spiritual resources to solve problems.”

Based on our observations, if you have high spiritual intelligence, you may seem unusual, even weird, to most people. You may have tried to fit in, but feel like an outsider or misfit. You may be very psychic, empathic, and sometimes aware of the truth of situations to the point of it being overwhelming.

From where do the natural abilities associated with each form of intelligence originate? Are they just random talents included with the body? Are they gifts from God?

We believe natural abilities are usually the result of earning them through practice in past lives, even if you don’t consciously remember the past lives. Some people are fortunate to possess more than a few forms of intelligence. This might indicate they’ve worked hard in many lifetimes to master the skills.

The vast majority of people aren’t super-human, possessing high levels of multiple forms of intelligence. Even Stephen Hawking, who is considered one of the most intelligent men in the world, may not be extremely spiritually intelligent, in our opinion.

In an interview published in The Guardian, Hawking said he believes there is, “no heaven or afterlife,” and that such a notion was a, “fairy story for people afraid of the dark.” Mr. Hawking doesn’t appear to have done any research about life after death, unlike Stafford Betty PhD, who has been researching it for over 25 years. Isn’t a sign of intelligence not passing judgment on that which you haven’t thoroughly investigated?

As you can see, everyone is different and unique, and there certainly seems to be many different kinds of intelligence. When you follow your passions and develop your talents, you’ll be improving your form of intelligence and, or ability.

12 Psychic Myths Many People Believe

Share Button

We’ve encountered many myths about psychic readings over the years. It’s not surprising there’s so much misinformation and fiction related to metaphysical readings; sometimes the practitioners are to blame.

Below are twelve psychic myths based on our over 30 years of experience with the subject.

Psychics know everything.

This is where some psychics get into trouble. They allow their followers and clients to assume they know everything, and then lose respect when they don’t. A very famous psychic let this happen to her. She died a few years ago with a bad reputation because of it.

Being psychic doesn’t mean you know everything. It’s like watching TV. Just because you’re tuned into one channel doesn’t mean you know everything that’s happening on every channel at every moment.

No psychic is 100% accurate 100% of the time.

Sometimes a reader won’t perceive something because you’re not supposed to know it.

Also, regarding questions like “What is he thinking?” or “Does she like me?”, it’s not your right to violate anyone’s privacy and pry into their mind.

Psychics can erase karma.

No one can erase another person’s karma. You must balance it yourself by experiencing whatever is related to it.

Psychics can bring a lover back or stop divorce.

No, they can’t, and if someone tells you they can they’re lying or delusional. If it’s over, it’s over. Using love spells for this is spiritual manipulation and black magic, and will create negative karma for you and the psychic.

Psychics can tell you if your partner cheated.

Some might be able to, but your relationship may not be worth saving if you have to ask a stranger such a question.

Psychics can predict the big lottery jackpot numbers.

Maybe if you’re destined to win, but you probably aren’t, so they won’t be able to perceive the numbers for you.

Only psychics are psychic.

Everyone has some degree of psychic ability. You can increase yours to a degree through regular meditation. Meditation will help you relax, focus, and become more aware of the answers to your questions.

You can alter your destiny.

Some psychics claim, “Nothing is set in stone.” We’ve found that most major events in everyone’s life are predestined. You then have free will to react to them.

Psychics tap into demonic energy and should be avoided, along with all other non-religious spiritual practices.

Psychic work, tarot cards, astrology, numerology, channeling, and other metaphysical practices are not demonic or negative by themselves. However, it is possible to tap into dark energy, with or without metaphysics, if you don’t know how to protect yourself.

Because of this, we recommend visualizing yourself surrounded in white Light, asking for protection and guidance from guides of the Light and your God, avoiding drugs and negative people, and avoiding black magic or similar dark energy rituals.

Only experienced mediums can communicate with the dead.

The loss of a loved one is always difficult. It’s only natural to want to contact them and continue communication.

We believe loved ones who cross over do check in from time to time with those they left behind, are there for you when you need them, and frequently try to help.

The trouble is, however, most of us are not conditioned at an early age to be open to or identify communication from the other side. Most people miss the signs.

In our experience, people who are spiritually sensitive can perceive communication from the other side. For everyone else, daily meditation can help you be more receptive to such insight, as will accepting that your loved ones who crossed over can hear you, and want to help.

Reincarnation and karma are not related or that important.

A good psychic understands that you can’t have one without the other, how much they influence your current life (a lot), and that accepting these theories is empowering through personal responsibility.

Your soul mates are mainly for romance.

Everyone has many soul mates and most of them are for spiritual growth. Anyone who says otherwise needs to stop reading so many romance novels.

Astrology and numerology are only about possibilities.

Once you move beyond the superficiality of modern astrology (e.g., horoscopes, exclusive focus on transits, solar returns, etc.), into comprehensive charting using ancient methodologies, you escape the “only possibilities” nonsense and start to identify “here it comes” predestined life events and circumstances.

Our Favorite Spiritual Laws

Share Button

Everyone has heard about the law of attraction, but there are other spiritual laws about which you should be more excited.

Embracing these spiritual laws will help you get the most out of your life by minimizing negative circumstances and generating peace of mind and satisfaction.

Our long-term empirical findings indicate everyone is bound to specific spiritual laws, just like heavenly bodies are bound to Kepler’s three laws of planetary motion, which outline how they orbit the Sun.

Below we list our favorite spiritual laws.

1. The law of karma dictates that every good intent, thought, and action will return to you, in time. How great is that? Also, any injustice will balance itself out, eventually, so seeking revenge is pointless, and it incurs further karma anyway.

At the same time, this law demands personal responsibility. Thus, if you find yourself on the receiving end of some tough karma, the best approach is to change what you can and accept the rest.

You don’t ever have to worry if life is fair because the law of karma dictates it’s perfectly fair. We believe what goes around comes around, usually in future lifetimes, not this life.

You can “create your reality” to a certain extent but your actions now will have as much or more impact on your future lives. This is related to another law, the law of predestination.

2. The law of predestination (same as destiny, fate, and predetermination) is wonderful because all those rewards you’ve worked so hard for in past incarnations catch up to you eventually, sometimes in this life. At the same time, life’s challenges are also part of personal fate. Perceiving them from a different perspective, as necessary experiences for a higher purpose, makes them easier to digest.

3. The law of reincarnation causes you to keep incarnating until you get it right. How do you get it right? Do your best and react with love and compassion instead of fear, as often as possible. Easier said than done.

The great thing about the law of reincarnation (in conjunction with the law of personal fate) is that you take with you a lot of what you establish while in bodily form: talents, wisdom, health karma, money karma, and so on.

Lofty goals may not be so lofty when viewed from the perspective of multiple lifetimes. Have you always had a burning desire to be a famous actor, for example, but you don’t see it happening in this life? Keep dreaming and using your free will to work toward your goal, even if it’s only doing community theater in your free time. Thoughts are things, and although they may not manifest in this life, they may eventually if backed by enough energy.

4. The law of as above, so below (i.e., celestial phenomena is symbolic of life on Earth) mandates that patterns in comprehensive astrology and numerology charts reflect life circumstances and events. This is one of our favorite spiritual laws because you can use the knowledge to prepare for and limit life’s challenges, and maximize life’s rewards.

5. The law of universal order, as with the law of as above so below, shows that the universe is orderly, not chaotic. Heavenly bodies spin and orbit predictably, the seasons change when we expect them to, pumpkin seeds grow pumpkins and not strawberries, and horses birth foals and not lambs. The law of universal order underscores the human experience, allowing for the measurement and interpretation of overall personal fate through comprehensive astrology and numerology.

Ultimately, the above spiritual laws are exciting and inspiring because they indicate that life is so much more than a random series of events. It has infinite spiritual meaning, and you can take unconditional love, compassion, and lots of other good things with you into the next phase of your soul’s journey.
